I’m so happy I know this now I used to feel terrible taking my dog out in the snow cause I thought the bottom of his paws would freeze up

Good advice...now I won't be too concerned when my Wheaten walks on three legs within 5 minutes when it's 0 out for a walk.

My dog thanks you for this. Until i saw this I always made my dog ware booties on our short walks in the snow. He hates them. Now I only put them on him if we will be out in the snow for a while. Thank you

Mine can’t stand too cold. She starts picking up her feet and slows down looking for help.

Try Mushers Wax . Just google it, we watched a video and it worked for them. We have not tired it because there is no snow here. Let me know if it works.

Heidi M I am going to look into Mushers Wax, TY! Mister will NOT tolerate anyone trying to put booties on him, so I have been remoisturizing his pads with Vaseline because they turn white and hard when we go out for potty-time.

@@theempath508 you should try eucerine. Vasaline doesn’t let the skin soak up the moisture in the vasaline.

Most big dogs can handle the cold and snow for a while. But it's really the salt that hurts their paws. So anyone reading this, avoid letting your dog walk on salt if you can.
