Not bad at all. Like a lot of shorts the sound was a bit off. Part of that is my speakers though. I think if I'm face to face, gun to gun with someone, I'm not putting my gun down. It's going to be me or him or both of us goes down. But one never really knows what they'd do if in a similar situation. I'm sure with a little bigger budget you'll get better but this was pretty good. Big budget Hollywood movies are full of little things that could have been done a bit better.

Red Ryder aside, the dude who got tied up in the end was a great actor. Making us hate him because of his narcissism is the trait of great acting.

Thanks for setting the tone of the short. Now I'm wondering if it's going to be a waste of time even watching it... I like my movies to care about details, especially concerning firearms, how they work and how they should be handled. It ruins the whole mood of the movie, when you see something outrageous like that. I'll give it a shot anyway...

The knife is completely blunt, no tip and no edge
We are very well aware, and as much as you, we were not very keen about it. This scene in particular required a lot of knife contact with David's face, so for safety purposes, we went with a blunt edged knife. The knife was to be sharpened with CGI in post, but never really went through the process as we were forced to release the final cut earlier for release dates in festivals and other screen premieres. The good news is, we are getting around all these minor mistakes in the 4k version, that is to be released later this fall. Once again thank you for your time and feedback!

if this is apocalyptic, you have to think "water scarcity" so clothes are not clean and freshly pressed, lawns are not green and everything is not so clean, including skin and teeth ...
You know, I would make fun of the creators for having mowed lawns in a zombie apocalypse - but we live in a post-The Walking Dead world where all sorts of areas are served by the compulsive attentions of the landscaping dead. Carry on.

Every Zombie Short Film tells that human is more dangerous than zombie.
A Daisy Red Ryder bb gun, a pellet gun, not sure about the handgun but the knife looks like painted wood. Now this is definitely an area I could excel in helping with in a zombie flick and even wish I had the equipment to make one. That aside, I'd expect that the lawns wouldn't be as well manicured and the houses a bit more shabby. Shit, this post apocalypse actually looks better than the neighborhood I live in now. Noah kind of overacted the intensity a bit. All in all though, it is better than some of the short films I've seen, in fact many. It held my attention which is an accomplishment in and of itself. Considering the vast number of short films I've seen, this one I rate above average. If it was only average I wouldn't have watched it to the end. Good job.

Don’t ya just love the zombie movies? This was a pretty good short film but everybody gets the facts wrong. This one speaks of the rapture then just like every single zombie flick takes artistic license with the dead. If you are not taken in the rapture and resurrection, everyone remaining will experience a time when death will flee from you. So a bullet to the head won’t do any good at all, it will be an example of hell on earth and all of the remaining if they do not turn to the Lord, will not be able to die.
(Revelation 9:6) (KJV) And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

Considering you guys had basically NOTHING to work with, a plastic knife and BB guns, no gaffer or sound guy, no lighting and still made it kinda entertaining, a lot better than most anyway, and editing was okay. I give you guys an E for effort, keep improving, use better props and you'll eventually get there!

Just watched your video and I just want to offer some constructive advice if you are interested!
The first thing I noticed was in the text messages at the start. On one screen there are typos to the words Disappeared, Governments and Kingdoms.
Also there was a car driving in the distance as the main protagonist approaches the house.
And I couldn't help bit feel everything was a little too clean for the apocalyptic nature of the film. Mowed lawns, no debris, not even a broken window. Clean cars, and even the t shirt on the woodland zombie looked fresh, if a little cut by scissors.
I did like the idea behind the film, always nice to see the protagonist not being a typical sympathetic hero. Appreciations for the efforts gone into the film, I hope you take my observations in the constructive manner they are meant. I look forward to seeing more work from you, good luck!

Dude. ima start by saying this is by far one of the best short films I've seen and I've seen many. To not make a long story short me and a couple of friends are thinking of making a short movie and were wondering what equipment did you use? and approximately how much did it cost? and lastly how much time did it take? I'm sorry if I'm bothering you with the questions but I would really appreciate the info. Either way great movie man
No worries! We are glad that you liked the film, we definitely put a lot of effort into it. To simply answer your questions we shot the film in a course of 6 days with a Sony FS700 and Cannon Cinema Lenses and completed the final cut in 2 weeks. The entire production was over a little $500, not counting Computers and other technical machinery or equipment used in the production. I hope this answers some of your questions and once again thanks for the feedback!

Concentrate on the storytelling, quality, details and not so much as to what others used to get their end results, how long or how much it took them to get said results. You won't experience the same issues, regardless if your equipment, time and price was the same, and end with the same results as them. Don't use their choices as a marker for nearing a specific result in your own endeavors. Their choices may not work for you and vice versa. Just work hard and aim to captivate and please the crowd you're targeting.
