Great video footage of the river - love all the twists and turns. Looks like a great time of year to be there. I did the loop in August 2018 at the same start point but had to walk an extra 4+ miles past where you camped to find an open campsite. Very popular loop! Thanks, as always, for taking us along.
Love love love the MRT!!! Great video Bob! Cathy was just a chatty, ummm, her on this trip.
Thanks Mike! Maybe I'll have to give her the camera for a few minutes on a future trip. 😀
I need them license plates lol. Nice hike, I like how so much of it follows the river. 👍✌
About half of the loop follows the river. It's a beautiful area. I bought the license plate at Grams pasties in Escanaba, MI. 😀
Awesome to see you and Kathy out on the trails excellent video
Thanks again cg 😀

Getting my 3 l camp x hydration bladder in my Coleman hydration bag and going to my cousin's and on the way back I will be hoping to camp out in another section for my bike packing on the cheap getting the videos together extremely difficult for me I'm not good with videos anymore it seems not even close to what it should be at least for me
Awesome video! We hiked past you guys on the manistee river trail. It was our first backpacking trip.
Nice! This is a beautiful loop to hike. Where did you camp at ?
@@uptrail7169 we were on the north county trail near the red bridge when it started to rain so we panicked and set up camp
I am going to do this hike with my grand daughter late September our first hike . Can't wait
It's an overall easy loop to hike. Have Fun!
@@uptrail7169 Thank you I am sure we will
Great video. Love that trail. My last
Time there I started at Red Bridge NCT to MRT side to same camp location as you and hiked out MRT to Res Bridge next day. Red bridge TH to eddington creek about 8 mile water carry as typical first water spot on NCT side. I used your website as a guide first time I went a couple years ago. It was perfect info!
I'm glad that our videos helped you. The campsite next to the small waterfall was nice.
Great video!! Your channel seems really cool! Just subbed too!!👍
Thanks! 😀
Always look forward to your videos, you guys should do Craig lake, not far from you, you'll love it
Thank! Craig Lake has been on our list. The park just purchased more land up there.
You ever do the McCormick trail ,,? If so any advice? Thanks for sharing your trip , beautiful, and it seems like u always see a snake on that trail eeeeeek
@@jeraldmccarthy785 we haven't done that trail. That was a cool snake. Years ago we almost stepped on a rattlesnake in Wyoming. 😬
Trail looks awesome this time of year … views are obscured a bit 😕 but i always loved early summer in Michigan everything in so green and fresh … thank you for sharing your adventure 👍👍
Thanks Dave! It was the perfect weekend for a nice weather trip and very green. 😀
We were there a few weeks earlier. One of our favorite places. Can't seem to break away from the comfort of the hammoks though. Great trip.
It's a beautiful area and easy trail to hike. My wife wanted to get back into doing some tent camping. I still love my hammock
Check out the Big Agnes, air core ultra. $150 for the long/wide. Very comfortable with a higher R value than the Nemo tensor, and $50 cheaper! I've been pleased over the last 4 years with these pads. (I own 3)
Beautiful trail, my husband and I want to hike this trail someday. We hiked Pictured Rocks that weekend, very buggie, but Beautiful. My favorite trail in Michigan.
Thanks Cynthia! We will be going back to Pictured Rocks soon. I love it there and it's close to us.
@@uptrail7169, my husband was hoping you were hiking there when we were so he could meet you and your wife, well me too.
@@cynthiaschwartz559 Its always nice meeting my viewers on the trail. We will be in the Porcupine Mountains 4th of July weekend. I may squeeze in a trip to Pictured Rocks before then.
@@uptrail7169 We wish we could but will be in Door County that weekend .
How many times have you hiked this trail? I've completed it 10 times and have no intention of stopping. Great to see you closer to my neck of the woods.
I've now hiked this trail 5 times. I still haven't hiked the Jordan River Pathway yet.
@@uptrail7169 last year for our anniversary,my wife and I did the JRP, and had a blast! I haven't done Fife Lake yet, it's in the planning stages.
