20 Minute LOW IMPACT Walk | At Home Workout | No Equipment, No Jumping, No Talking Workout

  • Today's workout is a 20 minute walking workout. This is our active rest day which means we are not taking a day off but we are going for a shorter period of time after our longer workout from day 5. We'll be doing different exercises, all low impact with no jumping and no equipment. This is a no talking, walk at home exercise program. Total steps today is 2411.
    This workout is part of a 7 day interval training program and is suitable for anyone who can currently walk for 30 minutes 4-6 times a week. If you are at that fitness level then you can start this program (suitable exercise for seniors, beginners, and people of all ages). Interval training is geared for burning calories and fat, building muscle, and getting past that plateau effect that so many people hit. Interval training uses brief bursts of high-intensity activity which provides the effects people are looking for...more results!
    The breakdown of each day:
    Day 1: 30 minute interval workout • Walk the WEIGHT OFF! |...
    Day 2: 20 minute walk • At Home Exercise Progr...
    Day 3: 30 minute interval workout • WEIGHT LOSS WORKOUT | ...
    Day 4: Rest day or a gentle walk (there is no video)
    Day 5: 40 minute walking workout • LOW IMPACT WALKING WOR...
    Day 6: 20 minute walking workout • 20 Minute LOW IMPACT W...
    Day 7: 20 minute walking workout • LOW IMPACT HOME WORKOU...
    Ideally, you'll continue this workout for 4 weeks. When I did this workout 20 some odd years ago, I shed weight really quickly. I had about 20 pounds to lose and I lost it. Interval training is super effective if done properly. As with anything, your body will start to get used to the workout so I'll create a new program for weeks 5-8. It'll just be a bit more challenging which is what your body will need at that point. Please email me if you have any questions about the workouts. Always listen to your body and take an extra day off at any point if you really feel you need it. The last thing you want is injuries so definitely listen to your body and go at the pace that suits your body and your fitness level.

    Nearing the end of week 4, I must be getting fitter as I found today's session really easy, although I did need to rest on day 4. Can't wait to get into the second series!

I'm sure you've already realized it, but I create 3 levels of workouts (gentle, beginner and intermediate) and categorize them all into the playlists.     I don't know what I did to my shoulder but some of those arm swings were painful today. Did the whole walk but now need to ice. Thanks Jules. Starting Monday with day 7 tomorrow :)

      If you ever feel a move is too much on a particular body part, modify the move to bicep curls or tricep kickbacks which don't include the shoulders. A lot of people have past shoulder injuries or sensitivities but there are always ways to modify a workout. I'd suggest avoiding the shoulder moves for several days.

    I needed a little gentler workout today as I got an eye injection yesterday so always take it easier for a couple of days after. I’ll do the 40-minute walk on Saturday. It’s Thanksgiving here so wishing you and yours the most blessed day ever Jules.

    Hi I love your workouts, on day 7 of the first week. I wasn't sure I would be able to do all of them but I did and I'm very pleased with myself. I'm 70 this year and haven't done dance Aerobics since my 30s although I do walk a fair bit. I'm so pleased I found your workouts.

    Solid workout! What I like most about your "no speaking" workouts is that I can modify every movement, ramp up the cardio-intensity, or just repeat that last movement if I prefer. I do follow along, and sometimes I just "take off" and go with the flow. I honestly enjoy exercising, and your videos add to my pleasure!

    I so enjoy the flexibility of these workouts. I know must of your basic moves now, and I can modify them by double-timing or adding above-the-shoulder arm movements to bump up the cardio. the one thing that is consistent with all of your programs is your smile!     Hi Jules, I just finished day 6 (first week) and it's beginning to make sense to me how you are targeting different areas of the body. Today it seemed as though there was an extra amount of arm movements (which is good for me because I need that!).       @@charsie3098 Oh no! Ouch. The gentle or beginner chair workouts might come in handy for a little while until you're able to do more. They'll allow you to still enjoy movement, focus on range of motion, strength and flexibility and still get in exercise. I definitely wish you speedy healing!

    I was trying to put on the cardio kickboxing but somehow got this one, It was short, but fun. One of my favorite (or favourite as you spell it in Canada) steps is the V step, but Jules I have to sync myself with you perfectly or I find myself stumbling all over myself! So after I did that I enjoyed it a lot.

    Wow! What a difference a day makes. Yesterday I really struggled to get through Day 5, but today I have lots of energy (which feels SO much better than having little) so I enjoyed today very much. Tomorrow is my final day of Series 1. Jules, I have a question: Do I immediately start Series 2 or is it ok to take a break first? Either way, thanks.

      You can absolutely take a break from the series and do some other workouts for a while. Ideally, try to do at least two days of strength training (or the all-in-ones) and then a mix of cardio workouts on the other days (with one being a longer cardio workout day).

      The new 7 days will be up after 4 weeks. It’s designed to be done for 4 weeks before advancing to harder workouts. People will burn out otherwise and that is the last thing we want!

    The steps counter is counting over twice as fast as your feet were moving😳😒.

      I often don't use the counter now because of that reason. The total steps gets put into a box and then divided up through the workout but since some moves are faster and some are slower, it doesn't appear accurate. But, the end step count is accurate:)
