    Aww!! I loved when he told you he loved you during math. My 4 year old does the same thing! Schoolwork time makes her feel loved and important. ❤

    I love this! Glad I'm not the only one that has to rub out extra things when a 3yo gets excited about circling. Back to crayons because pencil with eraser encouraged wrong answers lol

      hahaha, I think sometimes he just enjoys the feeling of scribbling as fast as he can with that smooth marker on the plastic page. He's good at finding the letters now, but he also has to circle all the wrong letters and put X's on them (again, I suspect it's for the sheer fun of getting to use that marker more....lol)

    Where did you get that container for your AAR cards! I need it lol!

    • @SevenInAll
      @SevenInAll  Před rokem +1

      That's literally just a random food storage container from the local grocery store. I showed my husband the cards as he was heading out to the grocery store and said I need a container that will fit these...and it worked out. Not the most scientific or helpful of plans. lol!

    Thank you for sharing!! Question, I have seeing other videos from you, I have a kindergarden and preschooler at home, do you think I could teach also gentle + classical to my kindergarden along with math u see, all about ready and etc (a full curriculum)… or is that going to be too much to add? Initially I thought on teaching only gentle + classical for both, K and preschool, and that being the only curriculum to use, to begin a little more gentle… but I don’t know if G+C will be enough, so I am considering to have the curriculum pack either from sonlight or timberdooble that have everything for the grade, and buy G+C preschool only, or should I buy the G+C kindergarden too? What do you think?

    • @SevenInAll
      @SevenInAll  Před rokem

      With G+C Primer, it doesn't focus on math/reading--so yes, with a kindergartener, you would plan to get a math curriculum, a phonics curriculum, potentially handwriting, etc. You can also use G+C Nature alongside it for a science option (For my son last year, I used Primer and Nature). I have thorough videos on both Primer and Nature, if you haven't seen those, I can find the links for you.
      G+C Preschool DOES include preschool-level math and learning the alphabet, so it's pretty complete for a preschooler.
      My question would be--what does "enough" mean to you? Knowing that will help you figure out what to get. What are you looking for? Are you looking for more subjects that you want to include that G+C doesn't cover? (i.e. G+C doesn't include Spanish, which is very important to our family, so I added Spanish books to read throughout our school year) Are you looking for more books to read because you have a child who can't get enough of books?

      Do you have any videos on how you teach Spanish “day in the life” using beautiful mundo curriculum?

    Did you teach them everything they know regarding swimming? Or did they take formal lessons? Mine are just turned 4, 2 and 10 months old. We have a membership to a Rec center and I take them roughly 1-2 times a week. I feel like we’ve only been working on water comfort the past 6 months. I wouldn’t mind doing swim lessons at some point but I worry a teacher wouldn’t be able to teach them much until they aren’t afraid anymore of going under the water or taking off the puddle jumpers.

    • @SevenInAll
      @SevenInAll  Před rokem +1

      They haven't taken any lessons, we've been doing DIY swimming instruction for the money savings because lessons are pretty expensive here. I don't teach them myself, though--the pool is too cold for me and I avoid it. haha! My husband has done most of it and their grandparents occasionally take them to practice skills. We started with learning to float, getting comfortable with holding onto the side of the pool and going underwater to blow out bubbles, practicing kicking and paddling while Papa holds them, etc, and have seen gradual growth in skills. My 5 year old is swimming underwater like a fish, going all over the pool, and is doing very well, the 3 year old can at least float and paddle himself around a bit now, he's growing in confidence. I do think swimming lessons are a great idea once they're getting more comfortable in water, if they're in the budget! I think going to the pool regularly/frequently is a good way to get more comfortable in water.

      @@SevenInAll Thank you for replying!! This really helps. Is there a list online or something that you followed with a logical progression of skills? I’m one of ten. My mom taught us to doggy paddle at the YMCA and in the Great Lakes so my skills are survival level mostly/tread for one minute. 😅

    • @SevenInAll
      @SevenInAll  Před rokem +1

      @@nanaronhano337 I'm sure some lists like that exist out there on the internet, and would probably be worth searching for--or maybe even videos for drills or exercises to practice. We taught floating positions and practiced that a lot before swimming because floating is a more fundamental life-saving skill--if you fall in or get swept into deep water, you want to be able to float until you're rescued. Other than that it's been based on distant memories of long-ago swimming lessons from my own childhood...
