Dennis saying "I haven't done a Cougar in awhile" is priceless .
Yeah, I caught that too....😎
@12:05 "you're gonna have another beautiful load sean".........that one hit the cringe meter a little too lol
Haha...right?
And Sean stating that, it's not about the size🤣
🤣🤣
Shawn was NOT feeling this...he wanted a snatch and grab and a NAP 🤣
I noticed that as well.
he needs coke
He says, "my back is messed up" @ 5:42
@@Stout_Krout_Columbia_MD Shawn is Generally Really Good Help.everone has a bad day now and then
@@michaelfraser5723 seems like Dennis was extra hopped up today
I look forward to this every week. Dennis is an amazing guy.
I love the way Dennis always includes Zach, even though he is on the camera and can't answer back. A lot of productions would just ignore the camera guy, but not Dennis; Dennis appreciates anyone who works their ass off and helps make the team a success. Zach certainly fits the bill on that account.
Dennis treats him like a son
He just continues to show us that he's the real deal and a class act.
Outstanding
@@tonyrhoton6613 lol how could you possibly know that
I'd love to see that Cougar restored, those cars are way underrated, then and now.😉👍
Shaun P is about as enthusiastic as a wallflower on this episode.
Dennis if you're interested I know of a antiquated junkyard in Arizona that you might want to take a look at
Watched the show Today and afterword headed straight to Pucket's which is 5 minutes from my home and for the first time in my life ordered the meatloaf as until now thought nobody could outdue my wifes it's her birthday by the way told her we'd go wherever she wanted as long as it was Puckets LOL anyway it was Outstanding!
Such a great relationship between the boss and his staff
🤣 you can Cut the tension what a knife
if i could retire now, I'd do so and go work for Dennis. the knowledge he shares is crazy.
and he buys ya lunch!
Finding the old cars, meeting the owners and finding the local places to eat is awesome. Thanks for bringing it to us each week every time I take the old cars out or go part hunting I always make the most of it. Look forward to seeing more
Shawn P not awake today early. Looks like he been driven all night, at least after a good meal, he,s back to the old SP. great find Dennis. Another one rescued.
“Haven’t done a Cougar in a while”🤣🤘🏼☀️☀️
Dennis and Shawn were sounding like an old married couple deciding how to load that car on the trailer.🤣
I thought the same thing when they were going on about if they should jump it or not.
shawn is right , you don't want to load a car with no brakes going downhill .... you can control its movement with the winch going uphill , if it's going down it could roll towards the front of the trailer with no control
Shawn annoys me for some reason. He just has a bad attitude sometimes. If he could walk a mile in someone else's shoes for about a year he'd realize what an amazing opportunity it is to work for a guy like Dennis.
Fighting for position?
@@TheAgentAssassin Ive been feeling the same. He's got a jealous type attitude..
This shout out is for Zach , his work truly outshines all the big you tubers big boys. Gas Monkey has a bunch of people, so does Diesel Dave, Fantomworks, etc. Zach’s quality outshines them all.👍
Thank you Mark!
Like always I will put on your show each week or so, and the world around me melts away for that half an hour. Its almost like coming along with you guys and then having to go back home at the end. Other shows are good but I usually do not ride shotgun with them. Thanks for bringing me along.
Dennis Collins is the Holy Grail of bosses to work for!
Except he'll kill you early with that food... :)
The animosity was real in this one.
It looks like Shawn’s back was killing him. I know the feeling and it’s not fun. What a trooper. Way to hang in there brother.
D4 music
Music
He's just a complainer
Shawn looks absolutely thrilled
Good Words Its a good day to be alive
Wow, wow , what a feast;
Meatloaf, and those desserts, yummy !!
It’s all about the lunch !
Might sound weird but I hope to be as balanced in life as Dennis seems. Always happy, appreciative, abundant and enjoying the moment. Lessons to all of us 🙌📈
Agreed.
His perspective is outstanding.
It'd be good to be in Dennis Collins's Tribe!
You’d be happy to with his $$$
@@RDMash you might be right? however, I have met and known several absolutely miserable wealthy people
Thanks for making me smile! RWB ❤🎉
"in my head its done" has gotta be the best one liner for that situation. hahah using that for sure
Back in 1972, I was working for my Dad at his body shop....his mechanic brought in a 68 Cougar that had a 427 4 speed....I got to drive it.....man that rig would $HIT AND GET!
All the 68 Cougars with a 427 GT E were automatic cars.
427 Side Oiler would have been a rare Cougar for sure... Special order.
@@leddygee1896 Didn’t have to special order to get a GT E, but not many were made. 357 GT E were produced with the 427.
244 68 Cougars with the 428CJ.
This is my FAVORITE CZcams CHANNEL AND CONTENT. I TOO LIKE RESCUING COUGARS! The 2 LEGGED ONES ESPECIALLY!
Old man was like yeah keep talking it up..youll pay in the end
I'm 67 and the owner of a 67 cougar for the last 47 years, you can get any part for these cougars at west coast classic cougars
The ultimate dad! Dennis collins!!!
Like how the camera guy just stood by as the car was rolling away. His job is to film it crashing not stopping it
I remember back in the day, seeing "full color ads" for a Cougar Eliminator! I grew up in SW Ontario & I never ever seen a real one on the road here. Of course I wanted the 428CJ version, as I was 16 at the time.🤩
Honestly where y’all eat has become my most important reason to watch.
Dennis was SO HAPPY when talking about the brownie! Epic
That three on the tree takes me back to the F100 Sport Custom, three on the tree 302 learned to drive on…kids today have no idea “the fun” that was to experience…thank you for what you all do! All the cars of our (my) youth get to see again!
For us it was our Aunt's chevy nova! Good times
Nice u got to drive f100
I have one 71 sport custom short bed 302 original and yes those r nice trucks
Shout out to you Mr Collins, your content never disappoints, much love from South africa 🇿🇦
Thanks for thoughts, commenting… Interestingly, always enjoy other/ different/foreign/ perspectives on some of this CZcamsRS , ETC**! I am from NORTHERN INDIANA ( Indy500,races, Studebaker, Duesenbergs, etc), & ending life in HELENA VALLEY, MONTANA ( BIG GRANDEURS, & GRANDKIDS,etc),,
I’m from Northern Ireland and my wife and I ate at Puckett’s whilst there on holiday. A great spot
I'm diggin that 80s Dodge Ram & that Duster in the garage! I also love that '71 Chevy with the 3 on the tree, I learned how to drive in a '70 Ford Ranger 302 3 on the tree! ✌💖☮
I really wish I would have known about Dennis when I sold my collection of 55, 56, 57 T-Birds a few years ago. I had several show winners. All original and unrestored. I had a California born 56 with factory air 14k original miles. Anyhow, I love watching these rescues.
Wow! Nice
Yeah I think you had some desirable cars. Dennis could have made you famous
my dad had a '59 Galaxie 500 "retractable" with a 312 t-bird engine w/ a four barrel and a four speed.
The young gentleman that was selling the Cougar was a cool dude.
Like your C10, I just found a purchased a 1955 Chevy Bel Air 2 door one owner, parked inside since 1978. 4 barrel, dual exhaust and overdrive. 100% stock. The tubes in the tires held air long enough for us to put it on the trailer and unload it. It's was a dream find in the middle of nowhere Kansas. McDonald Kansas to be exact. Now it's with me in Denver
I love to see new episodes every Friday it brings back my childhood memories . Great looking 71 Chevy truck .
The smiles on both your faces after you ate said it all Great Stuff you guys
I've always wanted to build an old mercury cougar****🤟🇺🇸
I love how Shawn is like kk let’s load this thing and hit the road. Let me do my thing lol love it. Dennis has a ton of knowledge but I know exactly how Shawn is feeling. I’m sure he’d be just as excited if he owned it.
So funny! I am 51. I've never seen this body style growing up. There are 2 on different farms within a mile from me. My Dad and i have been talking about them for a month.
🤣😂🤣😂 Hey Shawn, that’s what SheSaid! 😉👍 That is an Amazing c-10! 😮😃👌
That’s what I learned to drive in. It was my brother’s truck!! Sooo much fun to drive. 👍👍♥️🇺🇸
Sean wasn't firing on all cylinders then along came Pucketts.
Nice Cougar and great Honda, life is now complete!
IDK, I go to the Redhead Piano Bar in Chicago on Friday nights and I see plenty of cougars, Dennis lol
Ok, that meatloaf looked incredible : )
Loved the show !
Thanks I watch every Friday it makes my day thanks
Shawn P was in rare form that day lol , it all works out with the best boss in the world. Always loved the Cougar and that's a very rare one , a great find . I sure hope it gets a complete restoration, it truly deserves it with the rarity of it.
Oh this brought back so many memories. As a late teen I had a 68 Cougar XR7 Gt. 390 with an auto. Had the overhead console. Red on Red. Crazy fast car. Had it 3 or 4 years and sold it. That guy lost control and destroyed it into a tree. Wow to have it to do over lol
I had a 67 289. My mom bought it new and gave it to me in 77. I drove it 2 years, it got stolen and totaled. I'm still pissed. 😄
what an awesome chevy truck, i was born in 1979, and to see a truck from that time still looking as good as ever is just brilliant
My friend had a 1968 GTE with a 427. This car was crazy fast. I was with him when he blew the doors off a Dodge that had 440 with a six pack racing light to light in North Grants Pass Oregon . Oh to be young again.😎
I love this episode. I use to live in Nashville, tn. I remember back in 1976 my brother just started driving for the first time and was looking for a car to buy and we found a 1969 cougar eliminator that had a big block 428 cu. Inch engine from the factory. The car was at Jim Reed Chevrolet dealership in Nashville. It was red with black strips on the side and a flat black hood with a cast iron hood scoop. It came that way from the factory. I remember when he started It up. The whole car shook and was pretty loud. Needless to say he didn't buy it. He ended up buying a 1972 Cuda 340 cu. with the pistol grip four speed instead. Imagine what these cars would be worth now. Good memories.
I remember the ELIMINATOR. Even more rare. I always loved the cougar. I called them elegant hot rods. Lol
nice to meet you today at Barrett , I was the lady in the yellow jacket 😊
Thank you for taking the time to chat with JF and I about CZcams
@killerkustoms
Let us know if you ever want to check out JFs ridler builds and do a coffee walk with us 🥰
Listen to the guy that don't fly,Dennis!!
Dennis never has a bad hair day! I'm very jealous!!!!
Cool truck , Your learning to drive in an old Ford truck brought me to a story of a letter I found of my fathers , this written to his mother back as a young boy visiting his Uncles Texas Farm . The visit included his learning to drive a 32 Ford , afterwards he was awarded trips into town for supply’s through the summertime . It was pure gold to find my fathers first driving experience , best gift .
He was right Dennis down hill no stopping give him a bonus
Dennis Collins for President!
that's not his cup of Joe i think 😂😂
My day is better now that I Get to watch coffee walk!
Want that truck, just have to work harder for one like that.
Keep it up Dennis, Zach, and Crew
I learned to drive a three on the tree in a 69 Chev pickup owned by my old girlfriend’s grandfather. He was a farmer and used it all the time, that was back in 75 when it was still not too old.
Great video . Car and truck are great . Truck is a lot nicer than an old beat up but dependable truck my dad had . He always said every man needs a nice truck and a dependable " go to hell truck " . That is defined as dependable but beat so you could take trash or any other of a thousand possibilities and not worry about denting , scratching , or getting dirty your good old go to hell truck . I miss my dad .
I had a '72 Bronco back in my high school days. When the other kids got in the looks on their faces was priceless when I shifted through the gears.
GT-E's are even more rare. Hope you find one of those.
A kid down the alley from me destroyed a 428 cougar and replaced it with a gte cougar. Destroyed that one too- around 1980.
Destroyed a GTE good lord what a clown … un restored with rust they are worth around 50k
My favorite the Mercury cougar I had a 67, 68,1969 my favorite year. I hadn’t sold 68 GT 390!4speed cougar. Sold 10 years ago
Love the police light in that truck.
Always love the content. You guys do an amazing job. Never took a meatloaf road trip before but maybe it's about time.
That truck is freaking awesome! Sounds very healthy and badass 💯👍👍
I’d love to see some before and after full restoration videos... or have I missed something? GB
Sean has an attitude the entire time. Wrong side of the bed that morning. I have a 68 XR7 390 CI AT convertible. Love the Cougars!!
Another good find 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I’m here for the COUGAR!
But you ain’t seen rare yet
That is definitely my dream job find buy restore, fix, and sell rare automotive anything
That cougar is basically my dream car.
Talking prices on camera is a change that I like.
Denis, you are such a gentleman ,Good for you and business dealings
The memories that cougar brings back one of the 1st cars i remember of my dads was a 68 cougar gt 390 red automatic he had in the early 70s love it
'' Haven't done a cougar in a while ''....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I look forward to every Friday at noon for your new videos. Love the truck, i had a 79 Chevy Bonanza Big 10 in high school.
Great show! Love the rare Cougar Big block with a stick, my kind of car. We had a 69 Cougar, actual grandma car from Florida. Our Grandma bought it new. She gave it to my brother and he built the car with a 428 SCJ, LeMans Rods, Holly Dominator, C-6 trans 9" rear 411 Detroit locker. Was a beast. Would love to build something a bit tamer, this car would be a great start...
Fab Grabs Fellas, Fab Grabs!
That Cougar! One of my favorite things to come out of FoMoCo. So much cooler than the Mustang!
Yeah Shawn was laboring in this one, looked a little stiff and sore. That wonderful food you had picked him up :D Great stuff as always Dennis, keep 'em coming!
The 390 cougar is nice but I like the 427 eliminator version even better!
Eliminator wasn’t in 68 the rare GT-E came with the 427 they are extremely rare 69 was the first eliminators
That was a 1 year only in 67 on the GTE. And unfortunately it was more or less just a 390pi with .160 over bore. Meaning it used the cast iron intake the same cam cast crank, and the 390 4 bbl rods. The heads were the late model truck heads as well
But a set of early C3's off a low riser a 428 pi intake and a good cam and a set of heads and 500hp is very easy. That is one of my personal favorites FE set ups. That combo with spin to 6800 and if you get some Scatt H beam rods and bump the duration on the cam a bit more it will spin 7800 and make 580hp+. And it will live. The FE is such a bad ass under rated piece it's a shame. I'll take a 427 Ford and eat every 454 bbc that is dumb enough to be embarrassed by less cubes. Go to utube and type in Holman Moody 427 mustang. 1 Ford go to the Corvette anniversary vintage race. And put it on the poll and never looked back. And every 427 vett just ran for first loser!! Take that bow tie boys!
My father taught me to drive, in a 73 bronco "3 on the tree" my mom had a thunderbird, "we'z a ford family" back then, now I have gmc trucks(1 for work- everyday and one for play, weekend crusing-local car shows)
I had several Mustangs and I enjoyed them all until I bought a 1970 XR7 Cougar with 351 Windsor gold exterior black interior and fell in Love ! It fit me like a glove. She was fast up to around 75, I moved up north and found another 70 gold XR7 in a junkyard when dating my future wife for $150, needed points. Same everything as first but had a cleveland 351. This really hauled the mail. At 61 I can only dream of all the cool cars I had because in '79 the second gas crunch came and cars like them were a dime a dozen...
Reminds me of my brother, in 1979 he bought a 1969 cougar with the same motor, convertible. I always like the 1970 hood change, and then they went to crap from 1971 on.
Dennis…………………you and your crew nail it every time! Great cars, great sellers, great restaurants, what more could you ask for? 60 is the new 40, don’t I wish.
I just turned 60 like Dennis and feel like a young man pretending to be an old man but…it may be the other way around?😂
I haven't done a couger in a while either:) !!!!
I bought a 68 Cougar in 71. 302 automatic. When I bought it, top speed was 50 mph. The throttle linkage was adjusted to only give part throttle.
i would prefer the cougar over mustang any day!! screams classy hot!!!!
Great Content and Video Dennis and your Team and Family
Have a Great Day 👍
God Bless America 🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸
And Coffee Walk
I had a mint 67 Cougar GT 390 4spd that I took drag racing in the early 70s, was great! Wish I still had her...
Dennis you found another holy Grail and Puckett's restaurant awesome place to eat take care
I had a 1967 Dan Gurney special with all the heavy duty suspension heavy-duty brakes C6 taxi cab transmission and a 410 horse 390
I actually fastforward to the FOOD part lol....I love these old diners and restaurants and that's all I wanna eat rn
Look forward to every Friday!!!! Dennis, you and your team are awesome!
