It feels like the Shinko quality dropped the last 216 I had. I broke all the side knobs off each side. The goldentyre is definitely more durable. I’ve ran the fatty tires for awhile and they are nice for the compliance and floating on sand but they like to climb out of the Singletrack we have out here. The 90/90 is a good compromise between compliance, Singletrack and cornering, imo. Maxxis Desert IT is my favorite all-around desert tire. They last awhile offroad.
Those tires came on my 350 excf when new. I like the rear more than the front. I didn't like the front in sand/gravel washes seemed to be twitchy compared to the 80 size tire. I liked it on the hard pack and rock. the rear worked ok most places for me but, didn't last long.
The Fatty size is the 90 size. Its wider and gives a bigger footprint that is good for thicker stuff, but the wider means it will crawl out of ruts easier which might not be idea for single track. so if your not riding tight singletrack I think the fatty is better and that's the 90 /100-21

Great front tire...the best...try the IRC M5B for rear in dez...it is long lasting and works great. My go to tires for 500 EXC
