Topcameraman just informed me you had closed the bakery and had moved and someone commented that you had your own CZcams channel. I'm so glad I found it. I wish you all the luck in your endeavors there. I visited Grenoble with my family ages ago. We stayed in one of the few or perhaps the only hotel on Alp Dues (spelling) that was there at the time back in the mid 1970s. It was winter time but it was gorgeous. The Olympics skiing event was held there a few years before.
Sorry to hear this news. I've been baking since 1982 in Houston TX I've seen the decline in Houston in CO workers, pre made crap . I had 2 marriages in 30 years. Lost everything twice . Now, in Austin Tx starting over at 63. Most of the pastry in Austin is new age. Croissants that use 15 to 20 percent butter to dough weight, more flour , more water more yeast, they look like. Balloons. Like you , most my Bosses are dead and my friends. Max Ratzer and Jean Francios Lethier training and memories are going strong ( in my heart) People here don't show up on time, don't want to work ,always on the phone😢 Be well Julian and I hope to see you soon in a Parisian video.👍

Julien, I never comment on videos until I saw this announcement from you today. This broke my heart! I found your channel while my wife and I were vacationing in the south of France and experienced a world of patisserie I never knew existed. Every night we would get back to our condo and I would start looking up how to make desserts we had just eaten so I could continue to enjoy them when we returned home to Seattle, Washington. I became obsessed with watching your demonstrations and recipes since and have made baking a new passion of mine! You’ve exposed a new world to me and I am so grateful to you for doing that. I even had the opportunity to bake for my wife’s grandmother’s memorial service for which I made several tarts and a mousse entremet which served ~60 people. Today’s news really hit me hard because you provide a fun and easy going approach to baking which is so much fun to follow. I will continue to watch, learn, recreate and share your recipes with my family and friends. I’ll also continue to push people to your channel (along with TopCameraman) whenever they ask me “where did you learn to make this?” so they can also partake in your lessons! hello i think this is first time I write comment on your channel,around 8 years ago i watched your macaron video 30ish time to learn and watched many of your videos to learn as pastry student, it really helped me to master many diffrent type of pastry thanks to you and, it was very plesent to watch you always doing your job with such humor and smile, now after 8 years, I finally opened first bakery named Cosy in Lambesc France with my boyfriend who is boulanger, we bought almost dead pastry shop because we couldn't afford expensive bakery ahaha,, anyway we turned into very warm bakery, responses from coustomer were really warming and positive, so things are going pretty good, I think in france there are still people who appriciate good bread to share with friends and families,I wish you find new hope and adventure in France and able to post new videos again in future, I will not say sorry because I do believe you will get through it and turns it into great opportunity, Thank you for all your videos, and best luck!

You seem so calm and positive in your video but I'm sure that most of us will never know the torment that you and your family and endured to get to this point. The challenges your business has faced seem to be, sadly, universal. I'm in Eastern Canada and many of the same concerns are being discussed here by business who can't find people to work and communities where half of the properties are used as rentals now. You work so hard, as any one who has watched your videos knows. Best wishes to you and your family as you get on with closing your shop and moving to France. The challenges your business has faced seem to be, sadly, universal. I'm in Eastern Canada and many of the same concerns are being discussed here by business who can't find people to work and communities where half of the properties are used as rentals now.
