This was one of our favorite days in Italy! Nate fell in love with driving the Vespa around the Italian countryside. We started by driving to the beach for some local sea food with Bob and Gina, then we got caught in the rain, warmed up in the hot tub, took a nap, took the Vespa to another hill town, ate gelato, and flew the drone a lot!

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started traveling full-time January 10, 2016. While daily vlogging was not the original plan, we were having way too many cool experiences not to share every single day! Now travel vlogging is our full-time gig and we feel like we have the greatest job in the world! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

Its funny, when I look and hear Bob and Gina, I see them as older version of Nate and Kara. Gina and Bob have the same vibrancy and genuine happiness for life that Nate and Kara have.

I've been following your vlogs and want to say the visit to Marche is my favorite because it shows the Italy as the locals know it... and you can fully enjoy it with no crush of tourists. I hope you can find more locations like this, assuming you can rip yourselves away from this place. 😌

I was excited to see you touring the Italian region of Marche, near the Adriatic Sea. My grandparents were born and raised in Ascoli Piceno. I knew right away you were in Marche because of the olive fritte. My husband and I visited Ascoli Piceno and Grottommare a few years ago as part of our pilgrimage of our heritage. My mother-in-law is from Sulmona, Abbruzzo and her cousin there manufactures the world-famous William DiCarlo confetti (Jordan almonds). That factory alone is worth seeing. Not too many English-speaking folks, but worth the trip. You will fall in love with the countryside, the food, the ancient architecture, and the generosity of the people, even if you don't speak Italian. Very few tourists, no waiting, no lines.
Everyone should have friends like Gina & Bob . I have loved your Italian adventure , it's reminded me of my own Italian jaunts so thanks .
This vlog is incredible! Italy is so beautiful and I can't wait to travel there myself. Bob and Gina are just the sweetest, such amazing hosts. I wouldn't want to leave there either.

Absolutely in love with these videos. Partly for the familiarity of Italy and knowing how beautiful it is no matter where you go, and mostly for your love of it coming across so much. It would be so amazing to experience living properly in Italy outside of the major destinations and experience normal life.

Another stunning experience to watch! I remember when I was in Florence in Sept of 2007. I did a short cycle trip in the countryside. The first thing I remember experiencing was the smell of the olive trees along the first hill we climbed. Of course, there were several more scent experiences along the trip, but that was the first. I do want to go back--maybe to do a Vespa adventure??

Most of those out of the way little fountains in old towns are from the days before indoor plumbing when they were neighborhood water sources. The housewives would fill up their pails y
there, so they're in lots of little squares.
Need someone like Marco from Rome to perhaps impart some fascinating history on that wee lil fountain! Bob & Gina are the best!!

I’ve seen a couple of your videos just pop up on Facebook... so I got curious and subscribed to your CZcams channel to start from the beginning and watch all your videos straight through. These blogs in Italy made me crave pasta & ice cream so much! I actually ended up eating ravioli & ice cream. I live in Oklahoma so it wasn’t anywhere near as good as your fresh Italian pasta... but hopefully I’ll make it there one day to try for myself. All that to say I love you guys and I’m fully invested in your lives/vlogs now!
I spent a week in Honolulu and rode scooters everyday, it was glorious. I remember it as maybe my favorite week of my whole life.

What a difference from the earliest vlog to now...hillbilly Kara has been transformed...from the diva in Bangkok who was grossed out from the prawns in her awesome Laksa to the now new princess who can eat Italian shellfish with a smile...what a great transformation and growing up...👍

Fyi I'm just getting to these because I just recently started watching from the beginning!
Kara and Nate -- please consider visiting Chaco Culture National Historical Park in New Mexico (in your van, not on a scooter), Taos pueblo, and Acoma pueblo. The two pueblos are closed due to COVID, but put it on your van list for next summer. Chaco is no longer occupied, but the people who lived there have lived in other pueblos since long before european contact.

Your drone flying is awesome. You should contact the towns to hear if the want to by some photos from the air of their town. Talk about the fountain in the piazza. That was the water well in the old days.
