      1) this video isn’t about Mormons, if you think it is you may have the wrong mindset.
      2) the entire video is focused on the truth of scripture. From a historical and biblical point of view.

I came upon this video basically by accident because it came up in my CZcams feed. I thought the title was so intriguing I watch the entire video. However, I found the content misleading and repeatedly inaccurate and I feel it needs to be addressed because others watching this video might take what is being stated as authoritative when its not.
    1. Utah is not in the top 10 for suicide rate. It’s ranked 14th.
    2. The top states for plastic surgery per capita are Florida, California, and New York.
    3. Bradley Campbell is retelling the First Vision account incorrectly. Saying there “was no truth in Christianity, that all the truth has been lost” is inaccurate. What is actually says in this: “I [Joseph] must join none of them, for they were all wrong;… all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: “they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof.”
    4. Joseph was not killed (martyred) in Nauvoo, but actually killed in Carthage, IL. And the shootout was really one sided. Mr Campbell makes it sound like the OK Corral. It was a mob that killed him, while he was in jail awaiting trial.
    5. There are a boatload of coffee shops in Utah. A simple online search would validate this. And alcohol is also available, just with some restrictions on sales.
    6. The Salt Lake City temple was not the first one in Utah. It was the first that construction started, but the St George, Manti, and Logan temples were all completed before the one in Salt Lake.
    7. General Conference is better described as providing inspired instruction and lessons and not always “new revelations” as it’s being described. I mean, yes you can technically say new revelation has been given in general conference, but the way it is being worded could be better.
    8. For a video that is saying it’s trying to get people to understand Mormonism to better understand "Christians" in Utah, it’s not doing the best job describing it.
    9. Looking good does not equal worthiness whatsoever. That is a false teachings or misunderstanding on the authors part. Now culturally, individuals in Utah might be sometimes over focused on outward appearances, but that is not part of the faiths doctrine.
    10. Again, anyone that professes faith in Christ as their Lord and Savior can be defined as a Christian. Yes, there are theological differences (all denominations have them), but labeling Mormons as not Christians is just getting old.
    11. The presenters talk about there being no Christians in Utah. There are plenty of Christians in Utah that are not part of the LDS faith. According a Pew Research Center survey, 7% are Evangelicals, 6% mainline Protestants, 5% Catholic, and 2% other denominations. That’s 20% Christians that are not LDS. So the statement that they make that there’s no one to date or there’s no Christians to date, is somewhat misleading. Of course, according to their own definition, probably half the Christians from that poll in Utah are not Christians.
    12. There are more than two Christian bookstores in Utah. Was he referring to Salt Lake City only? Even then, you can do a Google search and find more than two.
    13. Saying that Utah is the only state that’s never been predominately Christian is wrong. According to multiple surveys and reports, Utah is around 73% Christian. They can’t just make up their own definitions of what a Christian when multiple data and reports says otherwise.
    14. LDS do not view the cross as offensive. That is just the authors misunderstanding of LDS theology and practice. The LDS church actually used to use the cross more prominently many many years ago, but began focusing more on the idea of the living Christ, and not so much focusing on the symbol of his death. I have never met an LDS person that was offended by a cross.
    15. I feel like there’s a lot of generalization and context that is not being said when they are talking about LDS members being put-off by religious discussions. Usually what’s happening is that they are told that they are not true Christians and basically going to hell. It starts becoming really old really fast when your religion and beliefs are being constantly attacked. There are plenty of members of the LDS Church who have friends and are able to have perfectly fine civil discussions without it turning into a Bible bashing, theological brawl.
    16. The presenter of the video is stating that the other individual (Campbell or a third person) was “ducking his words“ to not gain attention or offend anyone. What does that even mean? Seriously, what is he even talking about here? He’s making it sound like they weren’t able to have freedom of speech. Further details and examples need to be provided in order to back up such a random claim.
    17. Using a short clip talking about the thief on the cross could be a video in and of itself. If you look at the wording of the some of the earliest text, the word paradise should be translated as world of spirits or spirit world. I’m not sure what showing this clip does other than to demonstrate that members of the LDS church actually know their religion and know the Bible and are not going to just accept someone’s interpretation of the Bible at face value. Because that is really what denominations are, people interpreting the Bible one way or another.
    18. And finally, comparing everyone in the state of Utah to a stinking gross, rotten underbelly that’s grotesque is just so extreme it’s laughable. Jesus said to love one another and feed my sheep, not insult an entire population of a state.

LDS are not the Majority in UTAH anymore. Christians "Technically and by definition" believe in the '3 in 1 - 1 in 3" So, by dictionary definition LDS are NOT Christian. I have no problem of anyone calling me NON Christian because it is Dictionary accurate. And, the Bible, KJV definitively PROVES Christ and Father are separate and NOT the "Christian definition.

I grew up outside of Utah as LDS in a Christian/non Christian environment where I was the minority A lot of was said about being a Christain in Utah is what LDS members living in other parts of the country experience with their Christian/non Christian neighbors. Despite the theological differences, hopefully, we can obey the commandments, with emphasis on the first two. That will make, no matter where we live, a better place for all.

    Welcome to my TED talk.
I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints born in Utah, moved to Texas (the true Zion{jk}) These are my reactions, so it wanders a bit. Kudos if you make it to the end.
Why start with the stats on suicide, and cosmetic surgery?
Why not use the full name of the church? We're proud to call the church "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints"
Right off the bat Bradly gets wrong the we believe that all truth had been lost. Perhaps that was just a summarization problem.
Utah is not a holy land for saints. Bradly says "in one sense" but doesn't say in what sense.
SLC temple was not the first temple built. It was St. George that was first in Utah. The SLC temple was 4th.
Again nitpick here at not shortening the name of the church to the Church of Jesus Christ, and rather to call it LDS.
We are Christians, we are not creedal Christians. That's the difference.
Using clips from the Godmakers is really classy. LOL. There are a lot of things wrong with that that I don't have time to get into there.
Do you want mega churches? Are those good examples of righteousness?
    "Mormonism Research Outreach" lol.
The cross being an offensive symbol. This is just not true. I've never met another saint who was offended at the cross. We don't use it a bunch. This is true, but we don't shy away from it.
"behind enemy lines" this mentality is so broken. It paints me as your enemy. Why? Why do you want to paint us as the enemy Brandon?
We are well educated lol. Thanks for giving us a bone here.
The 2 culture dichotomy is pretty accurate.
Thanks for comparing us to flies, and stench. We are the "rotten underbelly" Wow. I'm sure that's going to go far to help us out "accept the gospel."
    Obviously some bitter sarcasm there.
Look Brandon I met you, and your beautiful wife at Chosen Con. You treated us like friends there. I appreciate that. Why try to alienate us now? Is there some hand of God in all of this?
It feels pharisaical. Focus on all the ways that we're different instead of how we're alike. Instead of rejoicing in Jesus Christ together.
That said I really don't like Utah culture as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There's a lot about Utah culture that's toxic. It's something that LDS people know, and are working on. There's no good excuse for it. It's one of the reasons that I like being a member in Texas. Utah culture sure comes originally from the church, but it's its own thing. Utah is a geographic area. There are more members outside of the state than in it. More members outside of the United States than inside the United States.
All in all you should've talked to a member about what being a member is like. Talk to one of us. In the end, we believe in Jesus Christ. I know that He lives. I know that he's saved me from my sins. I know that there's no other way to the Father, but by Him.
I know that He wants me to be one in Him, as He is one with the Father.
There are points of our doctrine that are different, and you may find that offensive, but most of those differences result from the creeds.
Best of luck on your individual journey to find the truth Brandon. It'll lead you to the Church of Jesus Christ if you're seeking dilligently. I know that that might offend you, but it's true. We believe in the same Jesus, and that there is no other way to the father but by him. I hope someday that you can be baptized by the same authority that Peter had. I hope that you'll be able to enter that temple and see all that the Father has.
    Love you brother.

The focus of the video is not the LDS church. It’s how Christians live in Utah. That’s the main thing most people are missing here. Bradley isn’t saying that the Mormon church is the issue that is the dark underbelly, but rather sin. Unfortunately sin can also look like something good, not just thing we as a society deem as bad. I study and seek truth. That includes evidence, history and tangible things that just do not exist in the LDS framework. Where I can easily find thousands of examples of this literally only from a Biblical point of view. God was very purposeful in keeping things intact in Israel and the rest of the Holy land. That’s just not the case for Joseph Smith’s claims.
Like I said, this isn’t the point of this video. It’s to understand Utah from a Protestant “evangelical” Christian point of view (putting quotes because people get weird about that label). So some of things you’re writing here are just a misunderstanding of what was actually being communicated. No hate at all to the LDS peeps. I have LDS friends. But if I’m going to live what I believe I’m going to continue to speak the truth that God tells me to.
No hard feelings, seriously. Much love and same to you I pray you seek truth honestly.

@@TheSnipeLife Hey man. To say that the video wasn't about the Church of Jesus Christ and then proceed to make 80% of the watch time about the Church seems a little bit fishy no? I get that you're trying to shine a light on the evangelical experience, and that's a good effort, but you can't have it both ways.
Evidence, tangibal things, and history huh? The Bible sure has a lot of evidence, because it's true. I'm glad you found that much. That's blessed your life for sure. If you haven't found evidences for "Joseph Smith's claims" perhaps you haven't looked hard enough. How about the testimony of the 8 witnesses? The 3 witnesses? The existence of the Book of Mormon as another testiment of Jesus Christ? Chaismus in the Book of Mormon? The existance of the Doctrine and Covenants?
Look man, you know none of that changes anyone's minds. You could show me any number of christian artifacts, which are super neeto burrito, and might build my faith, but they just aren't the foundation to my faith. That's why I don't think it's useful to have an artifact war.
Also I still have some unanswered questions if you want to do rapid fire and clean those up.
Why start with the stats on suicide, and cosmetic surgery? (Is this to highlight the aforementioned sin you were talking about?)
Why not use the full name of the church? We're proud to call the church "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints"
Do you want mega churches? Are those good examples of righteousness?
Why use the line "behind enemy lines?" Why use a thumbnail that shows missionaries that are creepy and domineering as fetch? Also why only black ties? I've literally never seen missionaries wear black ties. Obviously this is a super small nitpick, but it's just a trope at this point.

I find this video to be very passive aggressive. They say they aren’t there to pick on Latter-day Saints, but then go on to twist our doctrines and cite many anti-Latter-day Saint arguments and play anti videos in the background. That evangelical church has a bunch of anti stuff hung up on the walls and it appears they teach classes against our Church. I’ve never had an anti-traditional Christian lesson in all my life as a member. We try to avoid tearing down other faiths to build ours up.
They compared us to flies and stench. They mischaracterize our doctrine of what it means to be saved by grace and claim that is the reason Saints just try to look good. They put Utah’s higher than average suicide rate directly on our Church and its doctrine. I’m not saying we’re perfect, but this video is pretty offensive. Our doctrine leads me to be a better person and to have a personal relationship with Christ.
I wonder if traditional Christians would like it if I flew to the South and pulled up some negative stats on that state and blamed it on Christian teachings of saved by Grace alone. Would that be fair and charitable of me?
Also, traditional Christians who live there can now appreciate what Latter-day Saints feel living outside Utah. It can be tough and feel lonely sometimes, but most people are good and kind no matter their beliefs.

As a person who struggles with attaching to any denomination, I can say one thing. It has been said many times in the bible by Jesus himself in many verses in different ways that he separates himself from God. People still miss the message which Jesus himself says, not any apostles, himself. Also, Jesus never called his followers Christians, and yet here we are in 2024 still debating who are Christians. Jesus himself was a Jew, and he referred to his followers as the house of Israel or Saints. When people get ideas, and believe in certain things then it's hard to challenge that, because challenging faiths leads people to war.

I was baptized into the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints in 1971. The pastor of my secular Christian sect visited me about a week before and used every means at his disposal to keep me from becoming a member of the insidious Mormon church. I listened to him carefully, but in the end I followed my heart and soul and ended my membership in his church, for it was, at the time, his church. He preached nearly all of the sermons, determined its doctrines and baptized (by immersion) all who wanted a home there. And he would have baptized my family and me had we stayed.
Having seen and experienced the LDS church from both the outside and in, I have come away with a sour taste for the secular Christian faith. At times they seem pompous, arrogant, even hypocritical. The way they talk about "Christians" trying to "dialog" with "Mormons" (as if we _weren't_ Christians) illustrates their arrogance and hypocrisy. In debates, LDS participants are treated with courtesy and are treated well, but when the secular Christians post the debates on CZcams, it's nearly always with a blaring picture with the words "CHRISTIANS v. MORMONS" plastered to attract viewers. They rationalize their duplicity by telling themselves, well, they really _aren't_ Christians, not as _we_ think of it. So instead of being honest and advertising PROTESTANTS v. MORMONS or even substituting the latter with an even more precise term, RESTORATIONISTS, the protestants never lose an opportunity of obfuscating the facts.

I just want to first say (1) I really have loved your channel and the way you have fairly handled viewpoints, etc in the past(chosen, etc) (2) However this "guy" you invited on your show is probably "not" the right person to talk about Mormons. (You at least owe it to yourself to talk with someone from the lds faith too) (3) I don't like what is said sometimes about Mormons / lds "not" being Christian (its 100% false). Even various other religions' or sects disagree within their own communities too (on baptism, certain doctrines, etc). (4) Many things said about the LDS theology are not always accurate (especially coming from an outside source). (5) Also many cultures, faiths, religions are here besides just Mormons, as Utah is more diverse than ever. Of course the LDS faith, culture is strong here (because the LDS had to flee the mobs and governments that were trying to Kill them!) So its not like they (lds) ran away to Utah (to not include everyone). They (LDS church) even named their church after him! (Why don't other religions do this, if their faith is after Jesus)? Jesus himself said that was a pre-requisite. However (6) Despite these things, they (LDS) believe Jesus was born to Mary, was the son of God and atoned for our sins and is our savoir! (Those main things are far more important, than other details that some people may not know or understand, or agree with). (7) Bookstore - there are "many" here. Maybe what you mean are there not a lot of "Evangelical" book stores vs stores that have LDS books as well (Who again are also Christians). Yes there are more LDS people in Utah (thats a "no brainer") However if one where to go anywhere else in America there would be a lot more other types of Christian (in the majority). Its not fair, or unfair - but just the nature of different religions, demographics etc. (The same could be said if one went to Israel) and couldn't find man Christian Book stores! (however hopefully that will change in the future)! As per "Christianity" the LDS have helped a lot of other faiths here too. One example is the Cathedral of the Madeline (so hopefully you view Catholics as Christians too, because they are as well). (8) The cross is "not" offensive to LDS (they just don't use it as much). (9) "ironically" Utah, Salt Lake - has a lot of "anti-Mormon communities and prejudice sometimes) If you go up to the U of Utah - there are a lot of "Mormon haters" And sometimes they (lds people) are persecuted there (or people, organizations are biased against them) because of their faith (Or conservative political views). Hopefully you can also talk to some LDS people too (other LDS youtubers) Which I can put you in contact with them. (I think the podcast would be really good - to get a real perspective) so to see both sides. Okay enough said and food for thought! (Keep up the good work) and thanks. Again - LDS are Christians!!!! (in the most upmost way).

I believe there are differences between the groupings of people in Utah who both center their lives around Christ and attempt to live by His teachings. I wish there was one word you could group them together by.
    What is a dog, a cat, a moose, a wolf, a camel, a bear? A mammal
What is a Pentecostal, a calvanist, a baptist, an evangelical, a catholic? A Christian
What is a mormon? Well it's the enemy, and if you are in Utah you are behind enemy lines
    Seriously?
Suggesting that we can't be compared as the euphamism 'apples and oranges' suggests is offensive.
Christians want to alienate us as a faith group from Him, because they feel justified by a few verses. Verses that have been voted on by men, interpreted by men, catalogued, argued for or against, adopted or purged from a compendium by men. But they can't call us by name cause it doesn't fit their narrative; so we are called Mormon or LDS. They get away with it because A.) Our true name is really long B.) We wore the nickname cause it was an identifier for a small group who had been ostracized from society and licked at that acknowledgment as scraps from a table.
We are The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. You wouldn't say the name. I understand why it's sticky, and you have a nice little "out" but it's disengenuous.
You have a nice tone, and you act like you are not attacking, but you villify and suggest across the thread here that members of our faith group are hellbound. You site a few scriptures here and there that seemingly paint us with the color you like....but context
    So here is context:
The World forced us to abandon our sacred places of worship, The World murdered our prophet, The World forced us out of their land, The World issued a genocidal extermination order against us, The World tarred and feathered our leaders, The World rejected us and so it's funny and curious that our treatment resembles the treatment of original christians a lot more closely than you perceive. I wonder why that is -- or rather I don't
You Brandon, suggest you are studying and seeking truth, yet you seem convinced you have it all. I think you should take that seeking bit a little more seriously here, and if you won't really ask yourself why? Because others hate us? Because they put blinders on your face that are cozy and comfortable ad provide us as a target to scoff and scorn?
    Hmmm it's interesting....interesting indeed.
John 15:18-19 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you."

That's why we try our best (but sometimes still fall short) but Jesus atonement makes up the difference (His grace is sufficient for all - that come to him, repent with a broken heart). Otherwise believing (but doing nothing) would "rob" justice & mercy. Both concepts of "grace" + works - in the bible/scriptures are taught (We need to have both) Its like a puzzle - one is not without the other.

Fascinating. This actually reminded me of some CZcams videos I watched recently about Christianity in Japan - a similar clannish culture that us really hard to crack. After some controversy around The Chosen because they employ LDS members, about a year ago, I decided to look into what Latter Day Saints actually believe. I wanted to know also because I had a boss that was Mormon and moved back to Utah after he retired. He was very nice, but definitely acted differently than an evangelical Christian. So I started reading the Book of Mormon, prayed that God would allow me to use it in some way. Then missionaries knocked on my door. Met with them. Made 1 mistake which was not being overtly upfront that I wasn't interested in joining their church but was interested in discussions. They were more at ease after that. I ended up meeting with 2 other sets because they didn't leave enough notes to explain what this anomaly woman (who didn't slam the door in their faces, but didn't want to be taught lessons) was. I took a deep dive into the LDS website, watched way too much LDS and ex-Mormon CZcams and Hello Saints and Apologia, and then forced myself to finish the Book of Mormon because I felt like I understood the doctrine and the culture by the time i was halfway through, and the book is just not good literature. I didn't know what to expect with all of that, but I definitely was very surprised.

Like I outlined in this video, there are just core beliefs that are completely different between Christians and LDS.

I am a Christian who lives in Utah and who was raised Mormon and left Mormonism to become a Christian. It’s true that they worship three gods and that this isn’t true Christianity. However, some Catholics and Protestants have also made a similar mistake if they believe in the portion of the Nicene Creed that talks about the Son eternally existing alongside the Father as a separate god or being, the exact wording in the Nicene Creed that is incorrect is: "born before all the ages.” In true Christianity, however, the Father and the Son are one person from eternity and never existed as two, rather Jehovah (the Father) took on a human form, in time and space, as the Son, and the Trinity exists inside of the Son, the Lord Jesus, rather than outside of him in some ethereal realm. Protestants definitely have a much closer idea of God as one person than the Mormons, but are still slightly off on that point. The Word was God and is God because the Word is both love and wisdom united as one person in the Lord.

But I can see how it works - I have a positive impression of many of the Mormons I know (slightly) or the prolific science fiction and fantasy writers living there, because we do share conservative values which I think lift everyone up. Christianity and Mormonism are separated by the facts of their theology, but I understand how people can get up in arms about trying to differentiate them (thus pushback in the comment section). The question is how did he separate himself into three different beings when they were the same being or is he literally the son of God? It says the word was with God and God was the word. So if Jesus is the word and he was with God. So wouldn't it be logical to say he was with his father and is one with him and was One god together. Keep in mind how many times did he say father i thank the for hearing my prayers. If they are the same being then why would he thank himself. He would say im graceful that i have the power to help my children instead. LDS believe he is eternal.

Brandon, this was a very disappointing video, filled with so many inaccuracies from 2 men that know not of which they speak. I started watching your channel because I am a fan of The Chosen. Speaking of The Chosen, reference has been made to meeting up in Goshen for further filming, I assume. For those that don't know the significance of Goshen, it is the location of the sets owned by The Church of Jesus Christ (yes, Jesus Christ) of Latter-day Saints used to film videos about the life and teachings of Jesus Christ (yes, Jesus Christ). When Dallas Jenkins needed a place to film The Chosen, permission was originally denied. Yet, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that are affiliated with The Chosen went directly to Church leaders on behalf of Dallas and The Chosen. Dallas himself expressed this as an answer to prayer. You ought to listen to his livestream and hear it directly from him. Speaking of hearing directly from Dallas, did you know that BYUtv - as in Brigham Young University, owned and operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - airs The Chosen? And, after one of the episodes in the first season, Dallas himself comes on saying words to the effect that obviously the story did not end there and he was hoping to have many more seasons, but would need additional funds. He thanked BTUtv and in essence solicited funding from the BYUtv audience, which, by the way, is predominantly members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Perhaps this will give you some food for thought as to how you speak of Utah and its Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints members while you're there in Goshen, Utah.
Listening to the 2 of you speak so deridingly about me, and those I love, as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints reminded me of the way the Pharasees and Sadduces spoke of Jesus, calling him a blasphemer. Remember what his response was? I'm sure you do - he called them hypocrites and likened them unto whited sepulchres, lovely to look at on the outside, but inwardly full of dead men's bones. I'd say we, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints stand in good company along side Jesus Christ, of whom we love, speak of, preach of, teach our children of that they may know where to turn for salvation. By the way, that's in the Book of Mormon. I encourage you to read, ponder and pray about what you find written therein, for they are the Words of Christ.
Next time you see Dallas, perhaps you can explain to him that we are neither the Mormon Church nor the LDS Church, but The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? It seems he hasn't understood that yet or he would have made that connection a long time ago seeings how he has so many members affiliated with The Chosen and he is going back to Goshen using those marvelous answer-to-prayer sets?
Also, do you remember in the Christmas Special first shown in theaters? One of the musical groups performing was The Bonner Family. They came in with a drum playing and sang How Great Thou Art. When they sang those opening words, "Oh, Lord, my God" the witness of the spirit was so strong it made me weep. They returned again for this past Christmas Special. They are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
My ancestors crossed the Atlantic Ocean only to walk across the great plains and Rocky Mountains in covered wagons and a handcart to get to Utah, a place of refuge from religious persecution, therefore, Utah is sacred ground to me, as it is to millions of us, no matter where in the world we call home.

Watching him explain was like watching the Pharisees in “ The Chosen” with their self righteous attitudes! I love the series, the Chosen,it has touched my heart in so many ways! Dallas is an evangelical and I think he and the other writers are wonderful. Be careful what you are doing. I am LDS and I do not condemn you or tell you that you aren’t a Christian because of your beliefs. I am a Christian and Jesus Christ is my Savior, always and forever. How dare you say that we are not Christians! Jesus said that there are two churches, basically those that follow him and Heavenly Father and those who are against Him and our Father. He will decide who is Christian and who is not by looking at our hearts! You are being tempted by pride as many people are, including some in all Christian churches and including some LDS. We are warned not to judge others. Don’t do it, that’s what Satan wants,to divide us. It is my understanding that the Nicene Creed was excepted back in the times of Constantine. Was it accepted because of political reasons because mankind can’t resist having power over others. I don’t know for sure and am not going to condemn you or others because you believe it. I believe that Joseph Smith prayed to God and had a visitation from the Father and the Son,separate beings. Some of what you are saying in this video is taken out of context. Stop condemning others when you don’t really know much about us at all. I say the same to any LDS who feel they are superior to those of other religions. That is not what Jesus wants! He loves all of us,Christian and non Christian alike. Don’t fall into Satan’s trap of causing contention among Christians. And, please if you are going to try to talk intelligently about what we of The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints believe, please get a knowledgeable LDS person to tell you!! NOT someone from a different church who definitely cops an attitude of superiority!! Please stop spreading untruths that we are not Christian! Everything we believe and learn and practice in our church is God and Christ centered ! Please stop calling us Mormons,we do not like the name and it has caused many to think we are not Christians. @@TheSnipeLifethe problem is that members of the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints saw a video where a large portion of it was a slam against our beliefs based on inaccurate information and lack of understanding. I DID WATCH THE ENTIRE VIDEO TWICE. We consider ourselves Christians. We try to be like Jesus wants us to be. Just like any other church we have hypocrites. Just like other Christians we do the best we can and count on the sacrifice of Jesus to bridge the gap because all are sinners and fall short of the glory of God without it. It is painful to have other Christians who think they know what we believe say we are not Christians based on misinformation. All who are seeking the truth through study and prayer in the name of Jesus are, in my opinion, doing the best they can to follow him. What right does anyone have to create stumbling blocks for those seeking the truth? I like most of your videos as they often provide biblical information or context I have not been aware of before. The LDS church is not that far distant from 'christianity', which itself is a distortion of Paul's teachings which emphasized 'blood sacrifice' for 'remission of sins'. These beliefs are spurious and erroneous, as the only thing that matters is Love, Christ's unconditional love evidenced at (and before) his crucifixion. The Laws of Creation trump any religious nonsense.

Oh.... I was truly feeling gratitude for how kind this Utah Evangelical was being to members of the LDS church. And then... the metaphor of the Great Salt Lake. Ugh. Now, I grew up in Utah, but moved away for about 20 years. We lived overseas for 1/2 of that- 3 years in a Muslim country. I would *never* compare living there to the Dead Sea. Yes, there are obvious problems in that country, but who am I as a non-Muslim and an outsider to be so derogatory. I showed my community as much love as I could- saw them as children of God. I had a Lovely Muslim man explain to me their beliefs in Jesus Christ- his way of trying to make connections with a Christian. Having lived away from Utah for so long and living in 5 very different cultures, I can see what a put-off living in Utah could be as someone who isn't LDS. Moving back to Utah I could see it dramatically. Everyone depends on their family (who have several living near by); they've lived there for years, so don't really have "time" to make new ones; those members who haven't ventured far from Utah don't really know how to connect with those people who have different beliefs.... And, guess what? It takes practice! Kill them with kindness and love. I would leave the Great Salt Lake metaphor to yourself.

If you want truth about Mormon Christianity, you need to go directly to the source. Check out Apostle Holland in 2007. Lots of misrepresentation here. Their biggest problem is they define "Christian" differently because they use man-made definitions. That doesn't fly with LDS who have a founding Prophet and others who have seen the Lord and expounded His view of the many representations of their creeds to them. Even Jewish leaders didn't believe Christ when he told and showed them clearly who he was.

Surely Christ didn't want everyone to be so critical of those who don't look (believe) like them. Of course, this is only one point of view. Others are both better and worse. I believe that Christ will eventually clarify and unite us into one great truth that all who humble themselves to become teachable will adopt. Those unwilling to repent and receive correction will be cast off. Contention only empowers Satan. We must cultivate a spirit of kindness and love to be a part of the Kingdom of God.

Riiiiiiight. Come on, evangelicals aren't Christians either.

The Lord Jesus Christ has restored His Church along with Prophets and Apostles and your determination is to reject Christ’s work and call it non-Christian? Repent of this.

The part about it being hard, to nearly impossible, to date as a Christian in Utah is absolutely true. However, I've had problems dating Evangelicals as well, because they don't live by the truths that they preach and it's just theory for them rather than practice. Often Evangelicals will teach the right things, but don't live by them, whereas on the other hand, Mormons will more often live by them, but don't do so for the right reasons, and so miss the essence of love in the Word, and it just becomes a "salt lake" I suppose. Either way, both the old church religions and the LDS religion have major problems. For that reason, I just consider myself a Christian now, rather than as either a Protestant or a Mormon.

It’s bc u judge others so narrow-mindedly about who “is” a Christian & “isn’t,”that u THINK it’s a battleground for other faiths in UT. It’s not. U do it to yourself by judging. But u r not The Judge. Accept others’ faith.

The problem is...they think they already believe in Jesus. There are differences in what they believe but they don't understand the differences because of their brainwashing. I have a good friend that is Mormon and I have tried to talk to her, but she is so "learned" that she seems to be in a cloud.

What an Excellent Video, Mr. Snipe! Your Strong and Confident Co-Host presented both the 30,000 Ft. View & the Street View of Utah, IN TRUTH! Bravo, to All in producing a much needed Dose of Reality for Messiah's Body (HisChurch), may we capture Yeshua HaMachiach's Vision of "The Fields Are Ripe For Harvest" - You have presented this very well, may Our LORD & Savior bless your Gospel Focused endeavors - "they shall NOT return to Him void!" BTW, we (Gail & Audrey B) will be returning to Goshen, UT, on April 15 through 26, 2024; quick Question: Will we be seeing you & Vanessa there in that location/time frame also? Please let us know; we are excited to be going back!

THE LDS is not a Christian church/denomination. Not by a long stretch. I have a dear friend who married a Mormon just after he demoralized and then divorced his wife. She totally bought into the Mormon way. I tried to Teheran that Mormons are not Christian. She would not listen.
