The problem with the UFC is that the fighters don't get paid enough. Ben Askren made more money losing a fight to Jake Paul then he ever did being top 2 in his UFC career.
Boxing's problem is that it has too many orgs and weight classes, and isn't streamlined enough to be slick and efficient with apps, websites, promos etc. While the UFC has a problem of being WAY TOO centralized where Dana (500 mil net worth) makes out with dollars on the penny that he pays his fighters, staff, promoters etc. IMO if boxing had 5 weight classes, streamlined everything and centralized it into 1 org where it's more akin to a non profit whose job is the enforcment of rules, and the taxation of boxers to spread the wealth to lower tiered fighters to encourage health within the sport. Basically if boxing adopted an even more progressive version of the FIA I'd say the sport could potentially reach the heights it had in the 90s (heck you don't even have to have a new model like i suggested, just copy what F1 does and call it a day).

That’s the exact fight style I would have recommended for Logan. He had no chance to try to out box a great boxer albeit whose skills are diminishing. Grab a hold of Floyd who is a much smaller fighter and see if you can wear him out just by putting your much bigger body on him. Best case you fatigue him and for a second he drops his guard and you hit him with a lucky knockout punch. At worst you lose the fight but make it through all the rounds which is what happened.

It hurt me to hear them talk about boxing like that, this fight shouldn’t represent the sport especially with men like Canelo Alvarez, GGG, Anthony Joshua, Deontae Wilder, Tyson Fury, and Luis Ortiz fighting actively. There’s also an up and comer named George Arias who I think might be a powerhouse in infighting if he keeps improving. Also there is Bare Knuckle Boxing making a comeback that is brutal and sometimes painful to watch.
"why watch boxing when the UFC exists", and "they need to ban hugging", Canelo vs GGG and Fury vs Wilder were imo THE BEST sporting events in the last decade, baring maybe the world cup finals of football. Fury getting knocked down twice in ROUND 12, and then somehow from the pits of Tartarus rising up to dominate the rest of the round is some movie level shit. Wilder started boxing to provide for his daughter which had a severe birth defect, after losing most of the rounds, round 12 was his final shot at taking down the big behemoth which was Fury, and he somehow makes the hail mary but instead of it finishing like in your regular movie where that's it, he won by KO, Tyson somehow finds the energy and willpower to get up. Fury v Wilder 1 is imo the best sporting event in the last decade, change my mind.

It's trash. Charlie has no idea about boxing. Logan HAD to hug. On the inside Mayweather has a huge advantage as his shorter arms and height grant favorable leverage. Logan would have been KO'd otherwise. Plus, the Hurd vs Arias fight was extremely entertaining and a technical masterpiece.

Mayweather may be supposedly "undefeated" but is a win via judges, after just whipping and nae-naeing all fight, truly a win?
Mayweather is a defensive/evasive style boxer because he has little other option. His hand(s) broke to shit earlier in his career, and therefore he can't punch to full capacity or go in the way he used to be able to, back when he wasn't "damaged" he could've easily instantly 1 tapped someone like Logan before he could even blink.
I do think Mayweather lost against Castillo and Maidana, and extremely arguably, Pac. I rewatched Castillo/Mayweather over and over again and scored 114-113 Castillo everytime. Castillo made Mayweather work incredibly hard and it should’ve been at LEAST a split decision. But UNANIMOUS? I disagree.
