A behind the scenes look at what a former worker at Disney World, Silver Dollar City, and Busch Gardens Florida experienced in his time working at the parks. From driving large safari trucks around live wild animals while cracking one silly joke after another, to spending 5 years as a #PhotoPass photographer at #WaltDisneyWorld and seeing and experiencing all sorts of things, to being a conductor and #trainrobber on the famous Frisco Silver Dollar Line at #SilverDollarCity. With 10 years of working in the parks, there's lots of stories to tell. Here is some of them...
Not only did I work in theme parks for 10 years, I've visited a whole lot of them as well. Here's some stories of great visits, not so great visits, favorites, reviews, and much more.

Another thing I also notice for face characters is that when the weather is colder, now they have costumes that keep them warmer, for example for Alice, they give her a long sleeve dress to wear instead of her standard short sleeve one, I like how they are care about colder weather for face characters just as much as very warm weather

When I drove the parade bus at MK, the characters would sometimes start changing into their costumes on the bus. Now that I do work in entertainment as a tech, I see the organized chaos more often. You are right about the characters going off stage, once they're backstage, that happy go lucky face turns into exhaustion. When you work in entertainment, you see some cool stuff!

I guess I don’t want to be a character ha ha! California heat is bad enough but add the Florida humidity! Thanks for the video.

i can tell you as a ride operator, at any theme park, when we get somewhere backstage and out of view of the guests, we have the same reactions. legoland this was especially true, as soon as we got behind the scenes of whatever are we were at, we would drop the smile and fake enthusiasm the instant that door closed behind us and we could decompress

I once walked through the hall that connects the yacht and beach resorts and and a magical moment with goofy, Donald and Daisy with one attendant. I was the only one there with them

Beach Club is our DVC home. I had the same type of interaction with Chewbacca in Disney Studios. It is fantastic when that happens.

Omigosh! I did the college program back in '95 or '96.
During our "Traditions" training, they brought us by bus to the Magic Kingdom, to the exact spot that you described by the utilidor entrance.
What did we all see? CINDERELLA SMOKING! I don't think she was on the phone that time.
I am surprised that the odor of the cigarette did not stay on the dress or the wig.

now I know that there is a Former Jasmine Cast Member at CZcams who said that the most S******* Harassed by the Dads and guys was oddly enough Pocahontas and then all the others which is so freaky if you know the real Story Behind Pocahontas.

That makes perfect sense to me. The movie itself did the "sexually alluring" "exotic native" thing with her which feeds into hundreds of years of colonialism. Pocahontas is not a good movie for a number of reasons, but that's certainly one of them.

I mean in a sense learning about what goes on behind the scenes like this that makes what we laypeople see is still magical in a sense

I will never understand how people treat these characters. You have to be brain dead not to understand there is a person, probably a young kid, in that costume, hot as heck, sweating, getting dehydrated. We were with Woody and other Toy Story characters and they were just fried. They had to go back and the handlers said they needed to recharge their batteries. Judging by some of the responses of the people in line you would think they committed a capital crime. "Woody has a pull string why is he leaving?" I stood there thinking, "Are you serious?"

Is it just me or do you think cast members came up with a code for Brazilian Tour Groups?
Like say "Code Rio, we got a Code Rio." XD

The theatre comment was so true! For one show i was in I had to do my quick change in the sound booth right behind the audience. lol I apparently freaked out our sound operator because i was wearing a skin tone leotard and tights and he thought i was completely naked behind him😅
