People, Tractor Supply sells Diatomaceous Earth cheap. The name brand is Red Lake. It's food grade and it also has Bentonite Clay in it which is good for the body to. The DE at Tractor Supply is perfectly safe, I have taken it for 8 years. Like anything else, don't breath it, you don't want Hershey's Chocolate, Jell-O , Flour or anything like that in your lungs, you don't want this in your lungs either. I have a Mason Jar that I keep some in and I use a plastic measuring spoon (don't use any metal around your DE) the Mason Jar that I use even has a plastic lid. Metal works on the electrons in the dirt and it won't be effective.
The DE at Tractor Supply is not white, it looks more like a light brownish color, just so you'll know and not be surprised. It's because of the Bentonite Clay in it. I take a juice glass and put just a little hot tap water in it and add a heaping 1/2 teaspoon of DE to it , slosh it around and drink it. I do this once a day. That's it, it's simple. It doesn't have much taste, but it's gritty like sand. You'll get use to that. I can stand the grittiness of it just to get the benefits of it. Hope this helps someone :-)

@@Miguel-st9bd If it's pure white it don't have the Bentonite clay in it and probably came from buying it off the internet and is more expensive.

@@Miguel-st9bd Diatomaceous Earth will kill Candida. I read where DE is negatively charged and bad bacteria and fungi like Candida are positively charged and DE attracts the bad bacteria to it and kills it, that's why you can't use any metal around it. It would probably kill h pylori because it is a bad bacteria. Bentonite Clay in moderation is good for you to. Diatomaceous Earth helps build up your immune system so it will fight for you.
I take 1/2 teaspoon a day, I believe in moderation, I don't think we should take to much of anything, even if it's good for us.

I’ve seen plenty of people that get on my nerves that truly are irritating - she’s pleasant, seemingly sweet, and asking valid questions. Hey! I think the idea of mixing it with alcohol would actually be a great idea, because alcohol is a great antiseptic, so there would be a good synergy.
What are your thoughts on mixing DE with activated charcoal? Has anyone ever tried it?

Unless you're on pharmaceutical medication, as activated charcoal absorbs it all.
works wonderful to help get old crap out of the body. It's negative ions grabs onto positive ions in heavy metals etc in the body.

I have a question. I am new to taking this, I am on day 6. I am taking it for 10 days on/off for 90 days and i usually put it in warm water or herbal tea since it dissolves a little better that way. In any event, I hear people put it in smoothies like you mention but I also hear to drink it on an empty stomach 1 hour before eating or 2 hours post meals. My question is, will my body still absorb nutrients from a smoothie if the Diatomaceous Earth is mixed in? Since DE is a binder.

Stop with the alarmist nonsense. The heat required to crystalize (calcine) DE is extreme (1000 degrees Celsius, 1832 degrees Fahrenheit) and it's used to produce for pool filters. Adding it to coffee or tea is not harmful, boiled water maxes out at 212 Fahrenheit.

The difference would be how they process it. Food grade would have to used cleaner methods and equipment - the other animal or plant grade would not matter if less than hygienic conditions were used - no matter which type inhaling the dust would result in the same issues with how the very fine powder interacts with the lungs - bit like asbestos - There are two grades of coarseness fine and rough - I guess you would not want to ingest the rough stuff - it is used for filtering water or stuff like that - but they would both have dust particles than you would not want to breath in

There's a food grade DE and then there is a DE used to clean swimming pools, this DE is poison. So always get the food grade.
I bought 500g for $10 + postage from fossil power. This lady sells 250g for 14.40 and that's on sale i assume that is + postage
I picked up 30 lbs of food grade for under $30.00 last week (Vancouver). Good deal if you can carry it home.

You not to heat diatomaceous it a bad thing to do it turns the powder in to Crystals that are bad for you I have just found this on you tube , I don’t think you should be telling people to have it in tea coffee . I am a diabetic (type 1) and I don't see any influence on my blood sugar if I use it. So no worries.
@Gertjan Koolen does it effect insulin or metformin. I'm asking because I heard you supposed to use activated charcoal to help with the pain or feeling like you have the flu. On the container of the activated charcoal it said don't use with medications.
@@TruthBeToldPeary Indeed it's good to check. I saw zero influence on insuline (as I expected). I use chlorella to get rid of the toxins. If you have flu-like reaction you know it's working but you also may decide to lower the dose of DE. I don't know how it affects metformin. I don't expect much influence as DE is just a strong water-absorber. You can try with small dose of DE Just to be sure. Good luck.
DE doesn't absorb medication like activated charcoal does. DE is safe to use all round though.
@@TruthBeToldPeary the reason why it's a don't use with medication is because it's going to pull the medication out of you but this stuff does work and it will cure your diabetes and you may not have the flu symptoms I didn't have any but it will make your nails and hair grow really fast you will see a difference probably in 2 days and if you have any pain in your body it will take it away so good luck

I use Diatomaceous Earth, and I have had excellent results with it. But these ladies are completely ignorant about this product. It does not clean out plaque from the digestive system. Why? Because the digestive system does not have plaque. Yes, the product has a huge amount of silica, but very little is absorbed. There is little scientific proof for many of the claims made for this product. It also contains a large amount of aluminium comparative to other minerals in it. Nothing is said about cycling the use of this product. I usually go with one month on; one month off. The fact is we don't know the effects of long term use. Neither do we know what the correct usage is. One thing the ladies have right...hair and nails grow like weeds.

@@mikejones1258 I've ordered food grade, and agricultural grade and there is a huge difference in taste between the two. My guess is that food grade doesn't have contaminants in it. But I could be wrong. But it may have gotten rid of my receding hairline and thickened up my hair immensely.

We do have build up plaque in our large intestines over the years, its called mucoid plaque, the average person has 10-15 pounds of hardened waste not being able to be excreted from the body becuz the average joe is full of toxins and parasites from the food we eat.
That's not plaque as most would understand the term. In fact many people say it doesn't exsist. Look it up. That said, I have watched a colonic irrigation in real time and waste has definitely come out ( after the colon has already been emptied). What that is is yet to be determined apart from obviously being waste of some sort.
