- The Gaither Vocal Band performs a beautiful, a cappella rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. This Gaither Vocal Band lineup consisted of - Bill Gaither, Mark Lowry, Wes Hampton, David Phelps, and Michael English.

Totally agree!!!! I sing it in a very traditional, "as written" way, but if you go off script, you should take this route.
I prefer the Barbershop version performed by Gas House Gang, but this is the second best.

Today is July 4th, 2022, and this is still the best rendition of the Star Spangled Banner that I have ever heard.
Bass and high did their thing. insane vocals
The 1st guy is Bass, the 2nd guy & the 5th guy are both baritone, & the 3rd guy & the 4th guy are both high tenors.
Wow! Best rendition I’ve ever heard. David Phelps is THE man, on tenor. Bill Gaither is the bass.
Michael English is lead, and Mark Lowry is Baritone
Bill (1st guy) - bass
Michael (2nd guy) - Lead
Wes (3rd guy) - Second tenor (sings a version of the tenor harmony that doesn't go as high as first tenor but still blends in nicely with the rest of the harmony.)
David Phelps (4th guy) - as people pointed out, THE first tenor. Might as well consider him the best Tenor in contemporary music, ever since Pavarotti's death.
Mark (5th guy) - Baritone (really funny guy)

Brits and Americans have such an interesting relationship. I'm an American from the French and Indian Wars, and probably more English than the Queen, seriously, some of my ancestors fought at Agincourt. I'm a Southerner, which you will notice if you check a map, is very English, so we have this strange affinity. Brothers, cousins, whatever you want to call it, we are inextricably linked. And that's a weird and wonderful thing, to my thinking. God Bless America, and God Bless the UK! Cheers!

Oh my goodness just noticed this is the national anthem that is played at my school in the morning. So amazing, great voices.
Vocals, harmonies and emotions all packed to PERFECTION! I’ve never heard an anthem so beautifully sung that’s so stirring to move one to tears.

This is the most powerful, tear-jerking, heartfelt and wonderful rendition I've seen to date. While sticking to the original arrangement of the piece, GVB were able to deliver a performance never to be forgotten, a memorable experience. Surely they were endowed with mighty singing voices!
