  • Join me on part two of our 16 day, 1100 mile trip around Scotland.
In this weeks episode i enjoy swims in the North Atlantic at Balnakiel and Durness, I go fishing for Sea Trout and we take a trip to the famous Cocoa Mountain.
We stay on my favourite site in Scotland, Sango Sands at Durness. If you are planning a NC500 trip this is a must!

Great content. Remember motorcycle camping near there about 25 year's ago on the beach.

What time of the year did you do this? And what about the midges

This was the start of July but I've also done it in June, August and September. Pretty much no midges at these locations in the video as there is usually a constant breeze to keep any moving. In general midges in Scotland are found mostly on the west coast and typically start around May and end in September with the worst months being June to August. I've lived and camped on the west coast my whole life though and it's never stopped me
