I definitely think jinbei is stronger then who’s who. But there’s atleast some type of comparability considering who’s who was atleast able to draw blood from jinbei.

He'd get treated like ichiji was against katakuri. A lot of people jump gaps with jinbei but he really lacks feats to compare him directly with commanders. That or they give too much credit to things that ultimately did nothing against weakened characters like big mom.

Mochi issue aside, lets not forget that later on in the fight, Katakuri stops using his awakening and mogura spear and just coats his arms in armament and pretty much boxes luffy outside of buzzcut. And even that seemed to have the advantage against snakeman. If Katakuri can fight like that with just hands, then even that should be enough to defeat Jinbei. His own hand to hand combat and the giant speed gap is just too much.

When i was reading novel i used to think it wasnt future sight referring to Thatch`s advices with which it would be impossible to reach that level of haki. If the 1v1 would be on the ground in the middle of a island far away to any water source, katakuri would slam jinbe because he is phyisical better in almost everything and got better haki. If the fight is on the ocean yeah jinbe is very dangerous and in most of cases is a easy win for him, the greatest feat was against big mom. If the fight is in the middle of a island but with some source of water the fight would be very close.

He only wanted gear 4 to get away from her grip. He would probably take around 5 or 6 hits to defeat her. Remember she took heavy hits such as Yamato's haimei rakke, and especially Big Mom Laser cannon, and got up after. She has the most endurance out of the tobiroppos.

Jinbe is a TANK, he's offensively powerful, he's fast, he has high battle iQ, great observation and armament Haki (advanced), fishman karate (also bypasses defenses) - which will exploit Katakuri's devil fruit as a weakness. This is the same Jinbe that took the magma punch that killed ACE, without a hole, didn't die. This is the same Jinbe that fought Ace, a logia user, Whitebeard commander, ON LAND (fishmen are much weaker on land), for 5 days to a draw, an Ace that defeated a prior Yamato. I do believe Jinbe would mid to high dif Katakuri. Jinbe doesn't fight like an idiot heavily like Luffy, Jinbe is more of a smart, tactical fighter like Sanji.

First of all we know katakuri don't have ryou so he can't real damaged ancient zoan as he want too 2. This fleet had oven,smoothie, perespero, and eventually big mom who he has proven to be able to tag and react to multiple times. Jinbe has also been able to fight for days. Even if he can’t touch katakuri his haki would weaken over time, while Jinbe can defend his mochi attacks with water. Like he did with ace who has much higher dc than kata.

Ulti is acually stronger than katakuri because we saw a gear 4 luffy attack kaido with hundreds of attacks wich didn't do any damage to base kaido and then kaido in his base one shoted this luffy and after this luffy went on a training arc and when he came back hit kaido with only 1 attack (Red rock) and it had kaido on the ground so this base luffy in wano is stronger then gear 4 luffy at whole cake and as we saw ulti manged to keep this base luffy down in here hybred form

The thing with speed is power which is very true but it's high speed either with flight, force of gravity, acceleration through other means. Just getting a running start isn't adding that much power to ulti blows
One piece has narrative powerscaling, whoever oda wants to win, will win, especially if theres gag characters involved.
That's in all stories dude, it's the writers job to make it believable or justify it, which Oda can be good or bad at at times.

If you actually look at ulti gripping strength and ability to hold Luffy down. Her dinosaur is not known for it's grip strength but it's dome head. It has weak legs so it's more to ulti strength using her df and just how strong she is. To say Luffy needed a larger form to handle a bigger opponent. When Luffy should be way past needing forms to deal with bigger opponents in strength. He over powers giants in base or gear second
I think many people underrate Jinbe. Jinbe is a TANK, he's offensively powerful, he's fast, he has high battle iQ, great observation and armament Haki (advanced), fishman karate (also bypasses defenses) - which will exploit Katakuri's devil fruit as a weakness.
This is the same Jinbe that took the magma punch that killed ACE, without a hole, didn't die. This is the same Jinbe that fought Ace, a logia user, Whitebeard commander, ON LAND (fishmen are much weaker on land), for 5 days to a draw, an Ace that defeated a prior Yamato.
I do believe Jinbe would mid to high dif Katakuri. Jinbe doesn't fight like an idiot heavily like Luffy, Jinbe is more of a smart, tactical fighter like Sanji.

1. First of all we know katakuri don't have ryou so he can't real damaged ancient zoan as he want too
2. Ulti being stronger than katakuri is obvious since she can temporary clash with base luffy ( non serious) and goes for who whos too.
3. At the end of the day - I still respect katakuri but he isn't above them unless we see a stronger version of him later in the final arc.

I think you’re scaling has issues, because you’re not considering that Jinbe held off big moms fleet. This fleet had oven,smoothie, perespero, and eventually big mom who he has proven to be able to tag and react to multiple times. Jinbe has also been able to fight for days. Even if he can’t touch katakuri his haki would weaken over time, while Jinbe can defend his mochi attacks with water. Like he did with ace who has much higher dc than kata.

Ulti is acually stronger than katakuri because we saw a gear 4 luffy attack kaido with hundreds of attacks wich didn't do any damage to base kaido and then kaido in his base one shoted this luffy and after this luffy went on a training arc and when he came back hit kaido with only 1 attack (Red rock) and it had kaido on the ground so this base luffy in wano is stronger then gear 4 luffy at whole cake and as we saw ulti manged to keep this base luffy down in here hybred form
