Roland PK5A Midi Pedals, Novation Bass Station, Roland JV1010, Steinberg Cubase Elements LE.

I saw Genesis play this song, at my first live music event, back in the day.
I was absolutely blown away by the bass pedal sound, through the giant PA speakers. Will never forget that experience, it was so powerful.
For many years, I thought of getting a bass pedal for my own, but never got around to it.
Funny side note is, a few years later, I ended up working for the same lighting company that they hired for the tour.
Am now retired, and playing keyboards, in Grateful Dead tribute bands.

Hi Joe. The midi OUT of the PK5A goes to a basic Roland JV1010 patch within the Synth/Pad group - patch 001. This is Midi Thru to a Korg Bassstation 2 and both output to a Mackie ProFX8 mixer, then into a Focusrite 2i2 and into Cubase LE. I could use an M-Audio Code 49 or my Keystep (that has old MIDI plugs) but I wanted the realism of pedals ! The above is all obsolete now as I have just got a Moog Minitaur - unbelievable sound. Thanks for appreciating.

Hi. What I used was a blend of the instruments in the description. Its a little out of date now as I now have the PK5A midi out to a Moog MInitaur.
@@arrivingelsewhere1200 The actual sound is more the TUBA and the Taurus is only used for the last section. With the minitaur easy to get. I did add to my setup a midi controller FC50 that really helps with the programs changes. A lot easier han using the pedals on the PK5. Just a suggestion
