    I enjoy soft sheets scented with White Lily, a cup of organic green tea, my Bible for scripture reading and I journal my day. Then, I rub cream into my hands and feet and apply a lip balm.I say a prayer and fall asleep. It's glorious!

    I can never - ever! - go to bed without taking a shower first. My bed is a clean haven, and no dirty people is allowed in it!! 😅
    Even if I get home reeeaaally late, even if I almostcannot stand because I'm tired, hop to the shower!

    I've actually gone to counseling for insomnia. Your advice is perfect. The only thing I would add is the magnesium is also great if you have muscle cramps in your feet or legs at night. It will help prevent that, too. Also, if you have a bed partner, I know my husband and I have agreed that at bedtime we do not bring up or discuss anything stressful or of great importance. Conversation is kept minimal and light. Important things can be held til morning. Finally, your advice about screen turn off is vital. Dump the screens as soon as possible before bedtime - at least a half an hour or more. Thanks!

      @meghanlivingstone  Před 4 lety +5

      Yes, great point! Magnesium is great for muscle cramps/restlessness. And I totally agree with you on the stress front there, too. Really helpful when we don't feel frustrated or upset right before bed!

I just saw your gut healing videos and I'm very grateful. I'm struggling right now with Flagyl and Cipro for diverticulitis - my 2nd bout. My kitty helps too. I usually have to wear a pair of socks, no matter what season. My nose hands and feet have to be warm. So my mask helps that and block the sun that pops up before I do. Have a pleasant essential oil diffuser. Various oils called "serenity" or my lavender oil. The scent and sound are pleasant. Turns off on its own.

    I always try the sleep at the same time everyday but because of my job and business it’s pretty much impossible but I tend to try to sleep at 11:30pm the earliest and 1:00am the latest. The whole going to sleep at the same time everyday works for people with either normal 9-5 jobs or like make your own schedule jobs. But my job switches shifts every week. But I wake up at the same time everyday.

  • @DaughterOfTheKingdom16

    Also everyone has a different sleep chronotype with their circadian rhythm so it’s important to find out what yours is too. Like I would try really hard to sleep at like 9pm and wake up at 5am and my circadian rhythm isnt naturally equipped for that. I go to bed between 11:30-1 and wake up at 7:30-8:00am every morning.

      Depending on where you live...( I'm in Canada), I would recommend 'medical cannabis'. You don't have to smoke it. We have it in a tincture form and the smallest amount of the right kind ( one drop) can get rid of pain without any funny effects at all. There is no reason to take pain killers that ruin your digestive track or are addictive. Cannabis is amazing for pain relief and can have so many other benefits as well and no harmful side effects. My 80 year old mother takes a drop before bed to prevent terrible leg cramps and most of her friends take it for various issues. I take it for back/ hip pain/ neck pain from a car accident.

    • @Narbyful
      @Narbyful Před 4 lety

      @@sarahthatcher123 I would be very happy to have that option. I'm in a state in the US that (per my research) just - August 2019 - started medical and only in smoking. And only at 9 locations in the whole state. And the 2 within driving distance are "coming soon." I have degenerative disc disease from untreated childhood scoliosis and recently had hip surgery. I'd be thrilled for pain relief that I could GET. The opioid crisis has had a back swing into not getting managed pain to people who could use it now. Which I get, in a way but man, let us have alternatives.
