      Both Christianity and Islam are bullshit. Jesus most likely didn't even exist, because no contemporaries wrote about him. It was only several years after his death that members of the growing cult surrounding him began to write about him. Muhammed was an evil man who promoted violence against anyone who was not Muslim, or even "hypocrites" who were Muslim but not the right kind of Muslim. He borrowed from the religions around him, including the concept of Djinn. Many of the claims in Muhammed's writings are scientifically impossible, such as the claim that the sun enters and exists the earth through springs of water, or that the earth is fastened to the back of a giant whale, or that there is a group of people trapped behind a wall that is large enough to be a threat to every other nation. Every nation under Islamic control has been barbaric, as if they were still living in the times before the Roman Empire. Out of all the world's religions, Islam is the worst, and Christianity comes in as a close second.

    • @TheZeroNeonix
      @TheZeroNeonix Před 7 lety +3

      P Ciprian Check the facts. There are no records of Jesus. Many Christians point to Josephus, failing to realize that he wasn't even born until after Jesus supposedly died, and that he was a Christian, and therefor biased. If he did exist, stories about him were inflated over time. The earliest books of the New Testament didn't even mention Jesus' miracles or virgin birth. (Note: The Gospels were not the first books of the New Testament to be written.)

    Having focused on Christian apologists for much of my life I find it quite fascinating how the Muslim apologists play the same mental games. I am reminded of these quotations:
    "Intelligent people only have a certain amount of time (measured in subjective time spent thinking about religion) to become atheists. After a certain point, if you're smart, have spent time thinking about and defending your religion, and still haven't escaped the grip of Dark Side Apologists, the inside of your mind ends up as an MC Escher painting."
    Eliezer Yudkowsky
    "Fables should be taught as fables, myths as myths, and miracles as poetic fantasies. To teach superstitions as truths is a most terrible thing. The child mind accepts and believes them, and only through great pain and perhaps tragedy can he be in after years relieved of them."

    The ending was amazing. This sheik says literally: "Dont look into historical facts! Please, or you might fall into dificult questions!" Haha, he is admitting that the historical data completely flies in the face of the Quran and outright proves that Islam can not be true. If Muslims find out about Alexander the Great and all the similarities with him and DhulQarnayn, they have to conclude they are the same guy. If they would then search to find a different historical person, they would never find him and thus conclude that DhulQarnayn must have been a fictional character. A man who ruled the Earth should have been recorded in history, but there isn't anyone that fits the Quranic narrative. It's quite astonishing that the sheik realizes this, but still continues to stay Muslim and even pushes people to stay ignorant.

    So, are Muslims trying to say that Cyrus the Great wasn't a pagan? I'm confused. Alexander the Great can't be Dhul-Qarnayn because he was pagan, so what religion do they think Cyrus the Great was? I'm pretty sure he was zoroastrian (or a fire-worshiper as the Quran calls them to make fun of them).
    Yasir Qadi, "there are holes in the narrative". "Islamic scholar will question until a point, but western scholars don't have the 'red line' that Muslims do, so they won't accept our traditional answers" (paraphrased). He knows what he is saying is ridiculous.

    Alexander the Great believed in the Twelve Olympians but he also knew about the triune god that Christianity is teaching us because of Hermes the Trismegistus. Hermes the Trismegistus lived somewhere in the 9.000 b.C some people say that Hermes the Trismegistus was Thoth the Atlantean, well everything that Christianity teaches us are being taken from the Emerald Tablets, the library of the vatican the Mount Athos and the nato control and have all the books with the knowledge that Alexander the Great left in one of his libraries in one of the cities of Alexandreia. this is why the library of the vatican the its doors closed to the crowds!!!

    Wow the Proskynesis is especially uncanny to the Salat movements! Even down to the majority practice of the Qabd or folding hands over the chest (for much of my time as a Muslim, I followed the Maliki madhhab so did the Sadl or hands to the sides). And notice that 5th movement, which we can connect to the well-known hadith where Muhammad advised Muslims NOT to pray with their arms on the ground like dogs (but rather with the hands prostrating while the elbows are upturned from off the ground), while the 6th movement was specifically made "haram" by the hadith where Muhammad identified laying on the stomach as a sign of "shaitan". Connect this small difference to the other hadith where he specifically said to grow out the beards but keep the moustaches short contrary to the Persian practice, and we see a conscious effort to be different from the Persians even while borrowing from Zoroastrianism...deceptively covering one's tracks, as it were! And this connection of Proskynesis and Salat is even more clear when we see the alleged Night Journey is almost entirely a plagiarism of earlier Zoroastrian texts.

    The Masked Arab, I have two questions:
    1: Would you ever consider doing a Q&A video? I feel that this may be useful for your subscribers or even practising Muslims to ask any questions about the religion (anonymously if they wish) or just general views on things (within reason and provided your identity isn't compromised of course). It could help those still in the religion to see questions they haven't wanted to ask being answered.
    2: Any more 'a conversation with' collaborations coming? I appreciate this must all take up a lot of your time.

    Your own source, the Tafsir shows differentiation. The Myth states his father claimed he would rule "the whole world" whilst the Tafsir states "He had dominion over east and west- all countries and kings submitted to him and all the nations, Arab and non Arab- served him". Nothing is stated about the "Whole world". He ruled Arab and Non Arab countries and he had dominion East and West (Europe/Asia). So he did actually have the dominion according to the context of his dominion- not the entire world, which is not mentioned in the tafsir.
    Muhammad himself never once claimed that Alexander the Great was Dhul Qarnayn, this was the opinion of Ibn Ishaq- who made the link via a "story teller". Hence this idea spread further and later on with other Islamic scholars and commentators all of whom concluded this based on the speculation of Ibn Ishaq - who thought this a century after Muhammad.

      Here are some insights
      Since the story itself is supposedly a "myth" ; I think we can apply the same logic with another story plagiarized like 3 times in our history and made to fit in people’s own religions and background and that is the ark of Noah .
      However not because it is "plagiarized" means it is necessarily a "myth" or that it has no truth to it, I argue that one should expect a story well known and very famous to all people to be so very easily stolen .
      Because the Qur’an says about the ark
      29:15
      فَأَنْجَيْنَاهُ وَأَصْحَابَ السَّفِينَةِ وَجَعَلْنَاهَا آيَةً لِلْعَالَمِينَ
      So We’ve saved the ones of the ship and We’ve made it a sign for the worlds i.e all nations/ basically everybody .
      So we would expect that people would play around with it and have it fit with their cultures and beliefs, so why can’t we apply the same logic here ? I mean it is not like this is the first time ever people plagiarize an epic story and attribute it to a figure they themselves admire .
      What do you think ?! :)

    • @ramio1983
      @ramio1983 Před 8 lety +2

      Ahmed Hassan The issue with this story is unlike most other stories in the Quran which carry with it a moral lesson on patience, virtue, belief, prayer or alms we find the story of Dhul Qarnayn linked to Gog and Magog, which as it appears is meant to be a literal take on the end times. This is problematic and i am a Muslim that is very open minded. So unless these "creatures" are underground it causes an issue with a strictly literal reading.
      The thing is with the story of Dhul Qarnayn is that its "character" is simply guess work by a questionable historian of Muhammad and that is Ibn Ishaq. He has many questionable and doubtful stories about Muhammad and his commentary on Surah 18 claims that Dhul Qarnayn is Alexander the Great- he makes that assumption based on a story teller who simply had the idea it was Alexander.
      Ibn Ishaq placed that opinion in his works and most other Islamic scholars and commentators that came AFTER Ibn Ishaq agreed with this "understanding"- despite Muhammad never indicating this character is Alexander.
      This to me highlights that scholars and commentators took the earliest commentary of the Quran from the Sira of Ibn Ishaq in regards to the character of Dhul Qarnayn and mostly agreed with it. Yet most Muslims today know that Ibn Ishaq was famous for his fables and unreliable tales taken from many adversaries of the Prophet and Muslims, hence i think its safe to say from a scholarly perspective we might have a case of mistaken identity. :)

      A case of mistaken identity, that’s exactly what I’m getting at by using the ark of Noah as a demonstration, it was attributed to other characters, only difference is that we know who was the guy, Noah, we don’t know the name of the one with the two horns and we don’t have much of any background information about him as a person which doesn’t quite matter .

    There are apparently two personalities in history before Islam who were great conquerors and ruled over vast empires as mentioned by Qur’an. These were Alexander the Greek conqueror and Cyrus the Persian conqueror. As far as Alexander is concerned the extent of his expeditions was towards the east and south, whereas Qur’an mentions Zulqarnain’s expeditions towards west, east and a third direction. Secondly when Qur’an talks about Zulqarnain, it shows him as a person believing in one God and the hereafter. He is also depicted as a kindhearted and just ruler. Now it is known about Alexander that he was a polytheist and no incidents of his kindness and justice are explicitly recorded in history. But as far as Cyrus is concerned we find out that the extent of his expeditions was towards west, east and north that is, after becoming the king of Persia, Cyrus went on different expeditions, ultimately conquering almost eighty percent of the civilized world at that time. He became the king of this vast empire stretching from Lydia (west) to India (east) and Bactria (north) to Babylon (south). Secondly history has explicitly recorded incidents of Cyrus’s extreme kindness and justice towards his subjects. In fact, these traits of his personality were so conspicuous that friend and foe equally acknowledged this fact. As regards Cyrus’s religion, he was a believer in Zoroastrianism, a new religion at that time, which existed with all its purity and spirit. The prophet Zoroaster who was probably contemporary to Cyrus preached belief in one God, the hereafter and all other basic good deeds that form a part of Divine religions. This answers our first question, showing that Cyrus comes very close to the narrative of the Qur’an. Now the second question will be answered in the light of the first.
    As far as Alexander is concerned, there is no mention of him in the history of either the Quraish or the Jews and Christians in any manner which makes him significant for either of these groups. But as far as Cyrus is concerned we find out that though he had no significance for Quraish and Christians but Jews had a very special importance for him in their history. What was this importance of Cyrus for Jews? Anyone who is familiar with the Jewish history knows that the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar conquered the kingdom of Judea in sixth century B.C and the Jews were taken to Babylon as captives. The temple of Jerusalem was plundered and desecrated. From then onwards the Jews remained in Babylon as captives for seventy years. During this time the Prophet Daniel was appointed in Jews. He was the Prophet who at one time, after receiving revelation from God in a dream, announced the coming of a savior of Jews-the one who would release them from the captivity of the Babylonians. In that dream the Prophet Daniel saw this savior as a ram with two horns (Zulqarnain-one with two horns) (Daniel 8:1-4). The two horns metaphorically showed the two kingdoms of Media and Persia united and ram depicting the savior himself showed him to be the conqueror and king of this united kingdom. This king was Cyrus. He was the one who afterwards conquered the Babylonian kingdom and released the Jews from captivity and allowed them to go back to their homeland and build the temple. It was because of these reasons that Jews held him in very high esteem and considered him as their savior as predicted by the Prophet Daniel. Apart from Prophet Daniel, Prophet Isaiah and Jermiah also foretold the destruction of Jerusalem, captivity of Jews and then release with the coming of Cyrus as the savior (Isaiah 44:26-28, 45:1-3) (Jermiah 50:1-3, 29:11). With this explanation it becomes clear that Jews had great regard for the Persian king Cyrus. This answers our second question that out of the three main groups who were the direct addressees of Qur’an-Quraish, Jews, Christians-Jews had a personality in their history who fits the description of Zulqarnain and they had great regard for him. This personality (Cyrus) happens to be the same, which we have alluded to, in the first question. This discussion makes it clear that Cyrus comes very close to the Zulqarnain of Qur’an.

    • @RiflemanMoore
      @RiflemanMoore Před 8 lety +2

      +Avarian The two are not mutually exclusive, atheism refers to belief, agnosticism refers to knowledge. An atheist is anyone who does not believe in a deity but they can also be an agnostic in not claiming to know for certain that there is no deity.
      I am a gnostic atheist regarding the Abrahamic God, though, because there are so many inconsistencies, contradictions etc. in the Torah, Bible and Qur'an that I can confidently state that I know 'he' does not exist as described in these texts.
      However I cannot logically dismiss the possibility of some god-like higher intelligence or similar existing, so I am agnostic when it comes to that very vague definition.
      I too would be interested to hear The Masked Arab's stance on this question but it is not quite so clear cut as atheist or agnostic.

    • @TheMaskedArab
      @TheMaskedArab  Před 8 lety +14

      +Rifleman Moore I would agree with your position. I'm also as certain as you can be that the Abrahamic religions are nonsense. When it comes to potentially talking about a deistic God. I'd say that probability diminishes more the more I see how poor the argument for existence of said deity is, but it's not entirely ruled out. Probably less than 5 percent.. maybe less than 1 percent at this stage for a deistic God
