It would be disingenuous to say Fury isn’t a very good Fighter. But he duped a lot of people into believing he was untouchable or some sort of heavyweight GOAT. Which was absolutely ridiculous based on his pathetic CV. The level of fawning over Fury, which also included large parts of the Boxing media was also ridiculous.
Tyson should've fought him years ago... instead he chose money over legacy esp with those pathetic fights at Wembley against dross. tbf though, there should never have been a third against Wilder (he won the first fight) so there is that as well. Tyson was winning that match against Usyk up until he got hit & nose broke then he was feked.
I don't like Usyk (bcs of this Ukraine crap) but at least he's about legacy I guess...

Fury was not winning against Usyk. Fury lost round 1 - 3 and perhaps even round 4! Round 8 I think he had his nose broken and then it should have been stopped in round 9.

Fury lost 8 rounds, including one by 10-8, which included a very, very long count.
In my view, the only way Fury can beat Usyk is to knock him out, and I think we saw in the first fight, that Fury was in the best shape he could be in, hit Usyk with all he had, and was nowhere near knocking him out.
Usyk is just too quick, too fast, and whilst Fury has a high ring IQ, Usyk has an even higher one.

Yeah you could actually make a case Usyk won 10-2. After watching it a bunch of times 9-3 is the right score but 8-4 watching it live makes sense.

Problem is Fury is still good and always dangerous, and even though Usyk dominated by rounds and dominated by basically KOing him he still only got a split decision. Hes gona have to get a real KO this time or win 13/12 rounds to get a draw 😂

I love both fighters, and it was most definitely a close fight, with the 9th round at 10/8 swinging it. Boxing is too subjective and that has to change. Lots of people say it was a Fury shutout going into the 9th, others say Usyk won the first 3 rounds! Which is it? Too subjective. I had it close watching with the sound down and zero bias. If anyone says it wasn't close, I'm afraid they're just people who don't like Fury, simple as.
For 3 or 4 rounds Fury was actually shutting Usyk down, Usyk had no answers. Fury then switched off, and Usyk was allowed to close the gap. That turned the fight. It was back and forth. The judge's scored it 114-113 each for a reason - because they didn't favour either fighter and scored it objectively without emotion - unlike 99% of fan boys on here and 'Bazza', who just loves Usyk and dislikes Fury. Bring on the rematch

It was a very close fight with only a round in it. At times i thought Uysk was gone. Then i thought Tyson was gone. Both men were phenomenal and gave us more than what we paid for. Two tremendous athletes

You can't knock fury for what he's done but beating wilder who has no boxing skills whatever doesn't make you one of the best all time ,you judge yourself when you fight a boxer like usyk and he is without doubt the best mover boxer doesn't get hit that much best of all time ,he won't need referee or judges help next time as usyk will definitely stop him
Very poor what barry has done to certain fighters regarding money....some say its not true but i tend to believe carl Frampton 100%. That being said he knows the game inside out and shane is the best trainer in the world for me.

@@liamd6363 That the fight wasn't close. Fury won rounds 4,5,6,7 and 12. Rounds 3 and 11 could have gone either way. I felt sorry for Usyk when he kept having to check his face was ok after the uppercuts in rounds 5,6 and went back into the corner. I understand that round 8 and 9 were massive for Usyk, and I'd favour him to win the rematch, but once I'd watched the first fight back I can't see how anyone can't give Fury 5 rounds, easily. Once you've won 5 out of 12 rounds, then mathematically, it's close.
The fight was close but Usyk was never in danger of losing. The scorecards flattered Fury a bit and it should've been a unanimous decision. L

Just use your knowledge and opinion to disagree with me. I believe that fury won 5 rounds, so I definitely agree with you that Usyk won by 2 clear rounds. Watch rounds 4,5,6,7 and 12 and tell me you think Usyk won those rounds? Also, rewatch round 11 where Usyk is tired after a big round 10 and tell me that's not an even, or certainly close round..also, I love Usyk, it's hard not to like that man.

This is all well measured and correct commentary, in the Fury fight, the referee may have been acting maliciously, mistakenly or incompetently and should be maked out accordingly for the future, whatever the case, Usyk, adjusted to every circumstance and essentially finished Fury, who was also saved by the bell, a common savior in some of his most difficult moments.
Amen …. Usyk always adjusts very well the minute he gets touched that’s it. He’s going after you that’s what I love about usyk And he’s very aggressive! He doesn’t fear anyone that’s what makes him dangerous everybody wants to see one round knockouts. Not me ! I was thrilled he won .. He worked that ring and it paid off split decision? No .. they did the same thing to usyk in AJ #2 one judge had it in favor for AJ , and People were pissed! And they wanna say he’s a blown up middleweight he beat both 2x world champions .. Everybody, always underestimating usyk they failed to remember he’s been fighting all colors, creed styles, and big guys for years.. let that sink in

Fury was KO’d. Done. Finished. And that referee allowed him enough time to recover and carry on. That is a deplorable thing to do and extremely dangerous too. Nobody could have complained if the fight had been waved over after the sustained beating Fury took in the second half of that round. He was done. Mark my words- they will make damn sure the fight is WELL FIXED next time- because they will now know Fury cannot win a fair fight.

clearly the fight was close - Tyson played with Usyk rounds 2-7 fight could have been one up for Tyson - draw was probably a fair outcome. Don't take away from Usyk but Barry clearly doesn't like the Fury's . Barry's companies were liquidated in December as widely reported so i suggest some jealously here on Barry's part

No, round 2 was a clear Usyk round. Round 7 was close but could easily have gone to Usyk. At least 7 5 to Usyk plus extra point for round 9.
