Sergio shook my hand, thanked me for coming to see him play at The Jazz Alley in Seattle. He asked me if I was a musician. I said to him, "Thank you Sir, for creating the most beautiful music the world has ever heard".
    He said "God Bless you".
I was deeply moved by his kindness in receiving me as a lifelong listener of his music, which I treasure.

Sergio has shown his kindness for many years now. I met him (with my brother and sister) at his Circle Star concert near San Francisco back in the 1970's. Sergio invited us backstage after the concert and we met the members of his band including his now wife (she wasn't his wife at that time, but was a singer in his band). We took photos with the group and Sergio) and he invited us back to his concert again the next night (he did the same thing the following year also). I will never forget those days, nor the kindness that he showed us.

Wonderful enterview. Nowadays, averige Brazilians don't have any idea about who Sergio is and everything he has done for the evolution of our music.
