A big thanks to my friends at Common Ground Workshop for making this video possible! Go check them out - commongroundworkshop.co.uk
Please show more of their work, they seem to do some amazing projects.
Thank you for the beautiful video Daniel, the commentary makes it even better, I believe this type of video will be great on your channel as you tackle various characteristics of smart design especially for laymen, more of it please!
Daniel, this video is fantastic! I felt like I was watching a ânever too smallâ episode. Congratulations for unlocking a higher level, I love this, mate.
I thought it was more like The Local Project, because Never Too Small is about small homes, while this is a rather large home. Though I agree with the sentiment that this video is very well made.
@@tokiomitohsaka7770 yea but The Local Project has a calmer and a more dramatic vibe than Never Too Small. Danielâs visuals are similar to The Local Project while the video itself feels like Never Too Small. I say itâs a combo
Agree with you on this one! I am a regular follower of Never Too Small and the way these videos are laid out is very similar
I had to check again to see if I was watching a never too small video. Well done!
Lol this is my uncles home
Why I personally love this style of minimalist home is the fact that they are so EASY to clean!
Everything is hidden/tucked away so nothing is obscuring the living-space, making it extremely easy to for example vacuum and mop the floors :)
even better, just turn on the robot vacuum/mop when you're out and about, then come home to a dust-free home!
The vibe and aesthetic of the house makes me wanna be a minimalist.
What a clean aesthetic. I love all the attention to detail (flush doors, hidden storage, consistent use of materials, Zen and calming garden). Overall the space looks easy to maintain. Personally, I would have added a small lounge area on the ground floor for that must be the most used area of the home. I am sure that over time the home owners will add their personal touches to make this flawless home even cozier.
The format of the video is very calming. I appreciate the voice over with the silent walk through. And continuing to show the space while talking about the sponsor was clever. I kept watching and listening, not fast forwarding through it.
Beautiful home! And I love your emphasis on the choice to renovate and stay near family instead of moving.
I agree, this is the same feeling i get from @nevertoosmall channel.
@@helenepro1093 yes. It works because it gives you time to take in all the features, as well as the whole finished job.
This is absolutely spectacular. I love the brightness and openness. The large windows are definitely something I'd love to have in a home some day.
Having everything so hidden in the home is so aesthetically pleasing too.
Dude this is sooo nice! I personally would do the family/living room a bit different but wow this is so inspiring. The way you utilize space & light to give the rooms completely different vibes is something most people donât ever think about
This is a stunning space! Aesthetically a little too bare for me, but to have done that much with such a small space... I dread to think what this would cost in central London, but if I had to live somewhere like that, I'd definitely want to live somewhere like this!
Beautiful design đđ, I would have changed a few things, like not having the dinning bench, they are really impractical to get in and out of and maybe some softer elements, like rugs and cushioned seating. But that's just how I prefer to live, I still think that it's a great use of space đđđđ
Beautiful, calming, timeless... This style has become my favorite by far.
I hope we see more open floorplan homes with sliding/pocket doors to section off parts when you want.
What a relaxing home! Love the garden area and the cave-y bathrooms in the basement and in the primary bedroom. Love the video! đ„°
I think this is your best video yet Daniel! Such an amazing home!
Omg thank you so so much for taking off your shoes!!! I cannot stand if the space being such a high level craft, and then the presenter would step in with shoes on lol
Love the home except for the first floor especially the dinning area, for me there is just something missing. Other than that, lovely home. My fav is definitely the family room. I think it just makes it really cosy being in the basement. and with the natural light its just perfect imo. great vid :)
the "missing" is probably the personality. maybe add some painting or some kind of art or antique piece or something personal things to added interest to the room imo. but the house is very beutiful!
@@glngnrndr8534 agree with u definitely
@@glngnrndr8534 Lol this is my uncles home and he said he doesnt like to add any frame as it may ruein the walls
@@arianaahmed1959 Command strips for the win ;)
Beautiful space, could totally see myself living in a space like this. Love the hidden storage spaces
This is probably one of my favourite videos of yours yet - all the shots were pleasing and your perspective as an architect explaining the design choices whilst walking through was interesting! I'd like to see more videos like this in the future, would be interesting if you were to overlay sketch diagrams explaining public/private, light etc elements - just a thought.
Great video!
I could watch home redesign everyday, get inspiration for my current room and teach some new things. Thanks for doing what you doing! â€ïžâđ„
The way in which you speak about the architecture is very entertaining and informative. Great camera shots and a beautiful message at the end. Thank you!
Stunning design, great video! Thank you for sharing!
Love that all the appliances and laundry appliances are all covered by one cabinet wall. Even hidden entertainment wall cabinet. Very clever. Thanks for sharing. Blessings. Awesome even concealed staircase behind wall door.
Amazing home, Daniel!
Thanks for sharing!
Cheers from Brazil!
This is so beautiful and simply inspired. Thank you.
Absolutely wonderful and gave me so many inspirations. Thanks for the video!
Feels like a video from "never too small", it is so amazing, keep this kind of content!
Amazing tour for this beautiful home! Really appreciate your architecture contents!
At first, I was slightly put off by the sheer minimalism of the aesthetic, but as I saw how much was concealed and how beautifully the whole home had been designed, I became completely engaged and by the time you finished showing us, I knew I'd have to go back and look at it again. So much to love about this gorgeous home! Thank you for showing it to us, Daniel.
wow, the look is so calming. finally some respite in the spitalfields
In a world of confusion this house is made like a sanctuary for resting and relaxing.....very inspired by it.. ..thanks for uploading this inspirational lifestyle video đđ
I love the master bath - stunning and looks so cozy
Enjoyed that video thoroughly! Itâs definitely crib goals đ someday Iâll be able to afford to customize my own space too!!!
insanely beautiful. what an inspiring work.
Beautiful and innovative. Utterly livable and brilliant! You're young and have a great career ahead of you!
Definitely my favorite layout and atmosphere! Great job đđ»
Beautiful video. Thank u Daniel.
Lovely home. Love the amount of storage built in.
Beautiful renovation
Would def love more of thiss!!
I am shook! This place is awesome!đŻ
Amazing! Only change would do is reverse shades from bottom.. allows blocking window to window of neighbor but can still see weather and rolling clouds going by :-).
Thankyou !
Really good camera shots here. Great walkthrough. I'm a lot more maximalist in tastes but I respect the efficiency here.
You could do more videos like that. This was awesome!
My dream home âš although it's literally minimal, but it's really warm
That is a really nice look for a house đ very clean minimalist I wonder if they had a desk setup in there somewhere
so nice. Really love the design.
By the looks of it from the outside, it kinda looks like a traditional english house, with a few upgrades to it. But as soon as you opened that front door. Wow. Beautiful, elegant and minimal house for such a traditional property.
Please bring us more videos like this! It's really nice to see real life examples, and not only static images from when we render 3D renderings.
The Japandi style is one of the most fascinating there is, and I haven't had the opportunity to visit an apartment or house decorated purely in that style. I love that, within all the minimalist flair of the trend, the spaces look incredibly comfortable without needing a lot of paraphernalia. The only thing that I think could be improved in that living room area is the lighting, since it doesn't look so well done. I recently purchased a marble base Arco lamp from Barcelona Designs as I love using my living room for reading, and realized how dimly lit the room had been all these previous years.
Nice tour! ;)
This is my dream home. The architect working is a genius!
Wow ! I didnât understand everything but the house looks gorgeous. I wish I could have my own apartment so it could be well managed like this but Iâm still in a small rental and I try to listen to your advice in previous videos.
The loft is what my mom has been dreaming of for years!
Fantastic work â€â€â€
Loved the video, Daniel! I can already see it. It could be a TV series. đ
Ayyy! Glad you liked it brother!! đ
Amazing property! A work of art.
Great video Daniel - thank you đ
Beautiful work, well done
love the clean look
I freakin love it!! đđđ»đđ»
Keep this series going mate!
Reminds me of the waiting room at Kwik-fit.
I rarely comment, but the redesign of this tiny house motivates me to do the same (even if I don't like every decision). Kudos to the architect and the people who made it happen. My only question is how much did these changes cost? and thanks for the link
Wait, this is considered a tiny house???? I feel like this is quite normal for a UK family home, mine is much smaller but still considered a normal size for a small family đ I'd consider it a pretty big house, especially for London, and even comes with a basement!
@@doctordonnanoble I think Peter is referring to the previous house as being tiny and not the redesigned version being shown in this video. However, I still wouldnât call either a âtinyâ house.
@@doctordonnanoble LOOL yh this is my uncled new house
PERFECT!!! I want this as my forever home
Thank you for sharing! For me personally, this feels a bit impersonal, more like a luxury hotel or airbnb. It's beautiful, but I couldn't see myself living there long term. Doesn't feel like a home perse. Love the space tho. I'd add more plants, pictures, pillows, blankets and rugs to add a bit more of a scandi feel to it as well and boom, because of the coziness, I'd move in in a heartbeat.
It's not Japandi as Japandi incorporates much more warmth and is not straight and symmetrical, if anything it's the opposite of wabi sabi, there are hardly any organic elements here. But for someone wishing to impress others with their wealth and ostentatiousness while pretending they have taste, it's perfect.
That's what I thought, too '^^
I agree...at first I thought maybe it's currently free, but it's obviously not. Idk, I love closed storage, but this was too much. It didn't feel like a minimalistic home, it felt empty.
This is such a beautiful interior!
All homes should be designed like this. Love it!
I learned a lot thanks!!!
lovely design!
video looks so perfect!
This home is a dream, it really reminds me of the modern Chinese 'feng shui' architecture found in a lot of cities in China nowadays.
This video was so soothing to watch.
I love how the video starts with very nice sketches explaining the layout of the home. It makes it much easier to understand how all the later parts other video fit together into one coherent home. I will add though, that some of the shots seem a bit "cramped". Maybe there's a better lens that can be used there to make it less so. Pacing throughout the video is great, I feel none of the parts are skimped over. Really looking forward to the next one. I'm subscribed to a few related channels, but none cover the UK.
Wonderful design
Love this! This is absolutely in my wheelhouse. I want to do something like this in my 570-sq ft 1-bed 1960s condo in Houston. But I'm on an IKEA budget, not the undoubtedly substantial budget required for this home--any time you use the word "bespoke" (ie, "custom") you're jacking up the cost and all the "bespoke joinery" and those big plate glass windows had to have been very pricey. But by golly my contractor and I are gonna "IKEA hack" it out and give me something like this!
Like it so much, more of this content please..
Incredible! đ
Wow. Wonderful home.
that cavernous shower room is awesome
This is so impressive! đ
does anybody knows what color is the kitchen top table? I really want to make it like this! the color is so calming!
brilliant :) thanks
This is such a beauty.
Beautiful home đ
more of these please...!
very clever design, i love minimalist
beautiful
Excelente vĂdeo.
Parabéns e muito obrigado !
Paz âșđ
While I love minimalist designs, this doesnât look like a home, rather a hospital or an abandoned space. Japandi architecture gives us a sense of calm and warmth which this house has failed to give me.
Great video! The one thing that I didn't like with the space is the fridge/freezer is too far from the kitchen area.
"Zen garden" ? That is just a plant.
Other than the artificialisation (if that's even a word), this project is beautiful, and the format is đ. As a never too small aficionado, I wish you'd do more of those :)
Amazing
Looks like a bunker with scary knives as a focal point, needs something to soften the edges.
This is the life. Great home!
âNever too small â vibes â€ïž
Daniel, lâd love to know where the recessed cooker is from? Thanks!
It's beautiful, I have never seen one like it. I love kitchens where you barely notice the appliances. We have everything hiden except for the oven and hob.
hey Daniel,
I would like a 4m-long extension on my terrace house, but the shape of garden is crooked ... I need an advice from an inspired professional.. would you care to have a look?
Is there a place where we could see this house project with measures & etc? :) How tall is each level?
Who was that great architect that you were talking about Daniel? Give credit , we want to see more of his work đ
I like clean design but I also like my plants. Itâs well thought out
I see the refrigerator has panels added onto the door with clips. Are these panel-ready refrigerators or is there special hardware that coverts a normal refrigerator to a panel-ready one?
Would you mind sharing an approximate cost of the renovation?
