Dropping Foden will not be the end of the world, we are not lacking quality without him. Iâd rather pick the best players for the system and their profile than simply just the âbest playerâ.
True. I would rather see Gordon then Foden on the left-wing - then bring on Foden for either Saka or Bellingham after 60 minutes or so.
â@@edenholt4394have Gordon on the wing and foden as 10 and jude with rice as he was before Madrid.
@@devilsolution9781 thatâs what I would do, but we all know Southgate wonât
â@devilsolution9781 .Would be a shit show as proved against Iceland. TO BIG of gaps in midfield .Foden gets in the way of Bellingham , and Kane when he drops deeper.
Jude can still make that impact as an 8
11:23 this is spot on. Bellingham is NOT a natural 10, Foden is. Southgate can't appreciate this but any other manager would. Even Ancelotti hasnt played Bellingham as a classical 10, hes been more of a false 9 for madrid. Oh and lets not forget he spent his entire 2 years at Dortmund and his whole career before that playing as an 8.
The issue is that Bellinghams profile as a 10 suits this team better because we stupidly keep letting Kane drop into midfield. This means our 10 needs to be a player that can make runs and have presence in the box to replace Kane. We also barely have any wingers that run in behind, and no width from full backs going into this euros. Against defensive teams, the middle is going to get congested.
Tell Kane to play more as an out and out striker and we might see a change
by the end of the tournament you'll all be baying for Gordon to start
This team will suck until minute 70. Gordon will come on and change the game.
Gordon and Trent is an amazing combo.
The team should be a 343
Pickford/ Ramsdale/ Henderson
Guehi/ Gomez
Stones/ Dunk
Walker/ Konsa
Saka/ Shaw
Bellingham/ Eze
Rice/ Mainoo/ Wharton
Trent/ Trippier
Foden/ Gordan
Kane/ Watkins/ Toney
Palmer/ Bowen
Yeah but gordon at lwb not saka
Poor Conor Gallagher đ
So many out of positions
@@dukesb Saka has played lwb for Arsenal and England. Far more experience in that position than Gordon.
Saka at left back is really what Southgate should do
Foden being stuck on the left just to play Trent in midfield, it stinks.
this comment aged like fine wine. Not sure what Southgate is thinking.
@bushmonster1702 Could see it a mile off, TAA best passing comes from wide positions, it's Walker or him at right back, not both. I watch City week in week out, Foden has to be in the 10, he's a better creator in there than Bellingham. Push Jude to 8 if he has to play and get Gordon on the left.
Group Stage:
Pickford
Walker - Stones* - Gomez - TAA
Bellingham - Rice
Bowen - Foden - Saka
Kane/Toney
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Walker - Stones - Gomez
TAA - Rice
Bowen - Foden - Bellingham - Saka
Kane/Toney
Subs: Gordon, Palmer, WhartonâŠ.
Awesome
In possession:
Pickford
Walker Guehi Gomez
Trent Rice Stones Gordon
Saka/Foden Bellingham
Kane
In Defence:
Pickford
Walker Guehi Stones Gomez
Trent Rice Bellingham Gordon
Saka/Foden
Kane
Perfect
4-3-3
TAA-GUEHI-STONES-TRIPPIER
FODEN-RICE-BELLINGHAM
SAKA-KANE-GORDON
Against the lesser sides. Englands players are mint. Get all the flair players in there, and have two hard working wingers. Would be fun.
Without an overlapping left back, gordon would mostly just be holding the width in possesion while threatening in behind in transition. Trippier will be more of a deeplying playmaker type fullback. While trent will play a role similar to ben white. Stepping in to midfield or overlapping/combining with saka and foden, creating an overload on the right, freeing up space for bellingham and kane to finish the cutback or cross.
Last season Trippier did great overlapping with Almiron - though that was on the right
Trent is a proven clutch player and match winner at the very highest level, we don't have anyone else who can unlock the opposition with a pass in the way he can, plus he's by FAR our best set piece taker in the whole squad; he should be starting every game. Where you play him is up for debate, but IF you play him shouldn't be, not if we want to actually score goals.
Issue this England team has it every team until the quarters will be 11 behind the ball sit back get through us. We always struggle with that. We need a team to come out and try play so succeed
Thatâs why they need Trent to start in the groups. And have people who actually finish the chances he creates.
@@kd5973 serbia might. their strengths are in attack
pickford
walker stones gomez
trent wharton rice trppier
bellingham
saka kane
99 Luftballons on the drive to the airport is quite a good feeling isn't it?
hey your audio volume is so low please adjust in the next video.
3-2-4-1 with Gomez, Stones, Walker - - - Rice, Trent - - - Gordon, Palmer, Bellingham, Saka - - - Kane
Saka is good protecting White in Arteta's system, England need width.
you canât have gallagher starting if you want to keep possession. Heâs not good enough technically. Great off the bench for high energy
3-2-4-1 (OFFENSIVE STAGE) and 4-1-4-1 (DEFENSIVE STAGE)
1 - PICKFORD
2 - GUEHI
3 - STONES
4 - WALKER
5 - ARNOLD
6 - RICE
7 - GORDON
8 - BELLINGHAM
9 - FODEN
10 - SAKA
11 - KANE
Basically, two numbers 10... as like we saw in KDB and Foden (Now Jude and Foden). Gordon and Saka being warriors no ball and being dangerous on OFFENSE (Always linking-up plays w/Foden, Jude, and Kane / Receiving long passes from Arnold / Rice . Arnold doing what he did so well the whole season and allowing walker to be Konate this time. Stones here is like Ruben Dias (The defense boss) and Guehi securing the left side. Jude and Foden are "Masters" in this formation. there will be always a pass option and always in hot spots.
3-5-1-1 formation
Pickford
Walker, Stones, Guehi/Gomez
TAA, Gallagher, Bellingham,Rice, Trippier/Shaw (if fit)
Foden
Kane
Stop building your team around what the opponent is doing. You wont see Spain, Germany, Italy or France worrying what their opponents are planning, play your best side.
Make it guys it's your chance display your talents
Because of how shaky that defence looks I think walker has to start at rb and Gallagher in midfield because he helps that defence more than taa
Honestly i think we need to drop Foden for this game
Gordon should play the first game to keep the width as we dont have an overlapping left back till Shaw is fit
If we wanted to play Foden on the left in this first game we should have brought Chilwell
I don't think that Foden has the qualities to play in the midfield and control the game unlike Bellingham he won't drop deep and turn and play a pass he will wait in between the lines then turn his man and score the reason it works at City is because Rodri is playing as the 6/8 controlling the tempo and able to play balls to Foden. We saw how Foden as a 10 didn't work against Iceland and either Bellingham should be the 10 and Foden on the left or we play Bellingham as a 8 and Foden as the 10
Ideally, Trent-Gallagher-Saka would be the RHS. Gallagher is like Henderson in how he presses (better than him) and that triangle could be special. Trent linking up with Saka with interchanging with Gallagher would give prime Henderson-Trent-Salah vibes
When Walker, Trent and Saka played, Walker got in the way of both of them because his awareness going forward is rubbish and their connection was clunky.
But thatâs what itâll be. Hopefully with the weeks theyâve had to prep, theyâve figured out the chemistry between those 3
foden has to STARTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!
For our best defensive and attacking balance Iâd have the following team.
Pickford
Trent-Stones-Guehi-Gomez
Bellingham-Wharton-Rice
Saka-Kane-Gordon
In possession we can either create a double pivot with Rice/Trent and Wharton with deep ball progression. We can send Trent high and wide overlapping to allow Saka to cut in. Gives us the opportunity to create a box midfield and press high up the pitch with Rice and Bellingham. Also allows us to defend in a 442 which Southgate has utilised recently giving cover for Trent.
No Foden?
@@matthewgoodyear8818 Yeah I know itâs slightly mental but I think him off the left is very underwhelming and ruins our structure. Also Iâd rather have Jude in the 10 because he makes the second man runs when Kane drops and also is a more athletic presser. Unless we can get Foden in his central position without disrupting the width Iâd rather have him come on off the bench for Jude or Wharton when we are in need of more chaos around the box.
Iâm commenting here whilst Iâm listening to this but why is no one talking about Gomez?
3-4-3. Pickford. Walker, Stones and Gomez. Rice, Trent, Bellingham and Foden. Saka, Kane and Gordon
Where is Foden playing in this formation? Left wing back?
Swap foden and gordon
@@dukesb That would make much more sense. Even better would be Trent at right wing back and Saka left wing back, double pivot of Rice and Gallagher and then Foden and Bellingham as twin number 10s behind Kane.
4-3-3.Pickford.Walker, Stones, Lewis,Trent,Rice,Maino, Bellingham,Foden,Saka & Kane
4231
Pickford
Trippier LB
Stones CB
Walker CB
Arnold RB
Rice CM
Bellingham CM
Gordon LWF
Foden CAM
Saka RWF
Kane CF
If you canât play both foden and Jude in the half space in this team, especially against weaker teams, then you donât deserve to manage England. And if Kane canât not drop into that space and canât play and a real 9 and stick to his position then drop him.
Guehi against Mitrovic? Please Gareth dont listen to anyone on here Konsa is the form centre back in this squad
All the best players cannot start. Stop the silliness. Bellingham can start in the 10 for the 1st 60 minutes, and then bring Foden in the 10 behind Bellingham and Kane for the last 30 mins
Nice
For me, the 3-4-3 below seems like the best solution.
......................Pick
.....Walker.. Stones ...Gomez
Trent.....Rice.....Gallag......Saka
.......Foden ............Bellin
....................Kane
Solid back three. Rice and Gallagher staying deep to protect the defense in transition. Trent and Saka along the touchline whipping in crosses for Kane and Jude. Foden and Jude playing as twin 10s. Saka's position is obviously the most unusual but he did play more than 80 games there for Arsenal early in his career.
thank god you're not a manager.
@@WiseOnion Seemed to work for Germany the other night. What would your formation be wise one?
Youâve England draw this game itâs gonna depend thereâs a good result or not. Whatâs happening in the other game? The kicks off first if thatâs a draw itâs all squared.
Konsa is literally so underrated itâs a joke
Trent good for blowing balls into space, not so much as actual midfielder. Who's gonna "catch" those balls? I expect England to not score and most possibly lose with trippier on the left, maino not playing over trent and rice pretending to be one man show AM
Everyone assumes England will dominate their group and win it easily - I hope they're right, but I don't think it will be that easy. England have a lot of potential, but should they realistically be favourites for this tournament? I have my doubts, and see both France and Portugal as being a bit better than us (as teams), and possibly Spain too.
No they dont!
The midfield 3 has to be rice jude and foden
3241 in possession:
Pickford
Walker Stones Gomez
Trent Rice
Palmer Bellingham Foden Saka
Kane
343 out of possession:
Pickford
Walker Stones Gomez
Trent Bellingham Rice Saka
Palmer Kane Foden
PickFord
Trent, Guedi, Gomez, Trip
Wharton, Rice,
Foden,
Saka, Watkins, Gordon
It's coming home
I agree with the back 3 and Saka on the left - the only things I would change are Trent's position in attack. I think he'd be more effective further forward on the right. And I'd put Gallagher next to Rice.
...................Pick
....Walk ....Stones ..Gomez
Trent ....Rice .....Gall......Saka
.......Foden .............Bell
...................Kane
@@atchby-jn5ew You canât leave Bellingham out lol
@@jamest8108 I donât mind this, especially against tougher opposition
@@cjchaworth It seems to solve the problem of having to play Trippier or Gomez at left back. Trent and Saka would provide natural width on the flanks. Jude and Foden in their most effective positions. More defensive stability in the middle with Gallagher.
Calling all CZcams creators on ball out!!
If youâre not talking Timori winning a league title and Dunk in then youâre all shit at your job ffs đ«Łđ€Șđ
England all the best
Pickford
Trent, Guehli, stones, Gomez
Wharton, rice
Saka/gordon, Bellingham,foden
Kane
That team wins the euros, walker is overrated nowadays as his performance against Iceland showed. You can have Trent in a free creative role if you have a defensive fullback behind him with the two cbs to create a back three when he moves forward. Rice and Wharton for solidarity. Show horning Trent in midfield is setting him up for failure and itâs because he wonât be brave and drop walker who is massively overrated atm.
Why should trippier play left back over Gomez when heâs been shite there and Gomez played there all season and was brilliant?
ENGLAND ALL THE WAY
Him with the hat is a dope. He's Not got a clue about football
3 reasons why England won't win the Euros:
1. Their defence is worst amongst the top 5 teams in the Euros.
2. They still haven't found the midfield combination to dominate the game.
3. We've all seen Harry Kane in big games , when there's a pressure on him to perform he drops a stinker.
4. Theyâre not playing at home
Number one reason will be southgate
Doom monger
I think England will perform well
For me I canât see past
Gk pickford
Lb Gomez
Lcb guehi
Rcb stones
Rb Trent
Dm rice
Lcm Bellingham
Rcm palmer
Lw Foden
Rw saka
Cf Kane
In possession Trent comes inside to form a double pivot with rice, Gomes shuffles across to form 3 at the back and Bellingham and palmer both push forward into the 10 to create a box midfield. Out of possession standard 4-3-3. If we play a team that has a very distinct threat on the left wing like France with mbappe then walker comes in for Trent. And if we play a team that is likely to have more possession than us then Gordon plays on the left instead of Foden(heâs brilliant defensively and better on the counter). Palmer comes out of the team leaving Bellingham and rice to form a double pivot with Foden ahead.
Foden most overrated player, upsets the balance of this team
That defence is so bad. None of them fill me with confidence at all as a back 4.
Stones is not fit and out of form. Walker was okay this year, but can switch off although always very reliable for England.
TAA is a luxury player, wouldnât have him anywhere near midfield. Not good enough, why do you think Klopp has never played him there consistently.
Trippier awful season. Guehi good season and Dunk mixed but if you want a solid defender to win the headers then he is your man.
Personally would go Walker, Stones, Dunk and Trippier.
I do prefer Guehi but think Dunk is the right player for this game against a monster Serbia team. Stones ainât good enough in the air to deal with Mitrovic by himself.
Klopp didnât use TAA in the midfield is besause his entire system is built around the fullbacks being the creative outlet and the midfield are the work horses there so the fullbacks can shine. He played at RB because thatâs the most important position in a Klopp system, it was built around Trent
@@kd5973 Situations and games where the system changes because of injuries, opponents etc. - TAA ainât be putting there because he is not reliable.
His best is like you have said in a system where he can just keep bombing up the pitch in an attacking full back role or even a wing back.
Put that guy centrally and he is just gonna get lost, lose the ball, switch off - no shame in that just the reality.
If he is gonna play keep him out wide or push him further up the pitch.
â @@togara1I agree, he should be playing RB, he came on against Iceland at RB or WB but Southgate wont trust him there unless weâre chasing a game. But they also need the creativity he provides as we saw in the last 2 friendlies because otherwise they do nothing but pass back and forth. Against a team like Serbia, he should be ok in the middle cause heâll have time on the ball to dictate the play. Against a high pressing team though, I wouldnât play him there
If they play Trent in midfield, i hope they didnt turn the plane off. Its the worst think tacticaly you can do. Virtualy every attacker they have, appart from gordon who is not getting a sniff, wants the ball to feet, and you want to play the guy who's specialist in launching crosses into no mans land 20 times a game. But i hope they do it cos the meltdowns of english fans are the best
Trent in midfield stinks
Weird how he was MOTM in 4 of the 6 games he started in midfield.
Liverpool's form since he started inverting last season would suggest otherwise.
Pickford ; Walker, Stones, Guehi, Trippier ; Bellingham, Rice, Foden ; Saka, Kane, Gordon.
