I knew DOOM would have all these lost verses that would show up in songs after his death like some kind of treasurehunt, but every time I find one I am still surprised and awed by the artist known as MF DOOM. It's like he recorded it for this specific song beforehand.

Well for starters, it's the same simple melody and beat repeating through the entire song. It's not exactly high quality music, on top of it, it sounds comedic, like a soundtrack in some low budget comedy movie. Lastly, you can't understand a single word of what the vocal is saying because it's badly mixed and is hidden behind music. But there's something weirdly attractive about the whole thing.

I'm fairly used to seeing backlash from fans after a great band is on a very long hiatus, and releases something new. Everyone thinks "oh this this shit why can't it be exactly like the music they used to make", but eventually it grows on everybody regardless.
That being said, this song is genuinely awesome, and I'm excited right from the get-go. I hope the album has lots of other good stuff in the new album and isn't just "Since I Left You Pt. 2". I've really enjoyed their mixes too, so it'd be cool of some material sounded close to that as well.
This could be one of my favourite music videos of all time.
This and the original are both amazing tracks in such different ways.

So lately I've been getting really into The Avalanches and I decided to give this song a try. I liked it a lot. And THEN I found out that my favourite rapper, the supervillian MF DOOM was in the song, I liked it even more. God how happy I am to have discovered this wonderful group.

Being a hardcore TA fan I liked this but the more I listen to it the more I'm falling in love w/it. Just so unusual which is what I love about it. The raps really make it too. So happy they're back.
