In this lesson, you will learn how to solve 1 step equations. Here, we focus on solving equations by using addition and subtraction. To solve an equation, we must isolate the variable on one side of the equal sign. In order to do this, we can add or subtract any number wish as long as we do it to both sides of the equation. In this way, we keep the equation balanced. Here we practice solving equations by solving problems.

So much content Jason has to cover in future.
It really amazed me how you manage to put such an incredible explanation for math physics chemical statistics engenierring n so much.
So many student including me are desperately waiting for your course to be completed in physics chemistry n so on.
We need many copy of you Jason.
Really thank you from the bottom of my heart❤ for putting such an incredible hard work and making such lesson available to us and saving us enormous amount time.
Thanks once again. God bless you.

    Hi Jason, question
    1. Does your physics 1 and 2 cover AP physics 1 and 2?
    2. What grade should you take physics 2?
    3. Does your chemistry course cover all of High school chemistry contact and also AP chem?

You want to WAKE UP THE LIGHTBULB in us!-:)) You are so right, we are not human calculators. I thought I was stupid because I do things on paper, when things are far too long, even short division, I I make sure I do it right on paper first. I do try and power mental, just to stretch my brain into Geer, but I don't have to feel stupid for writing my work down. Thank you Sir xox

This is o.k,but it would have been better if he had opened up the viewers to how this is explained in different spheres of math I.E.THE LANGUAGE OF ADDITIVE INVERSES,EX:TWO NUMBERS ARE ADDITIVE INVERSES IF THEIR SUM IS ZERO,EXAMPLE: 3 +(-3)=0.THEREFORE 3 & -3 ARE ADDITIVE INVERSES. FOR HIS FIRST EXAMPLE IT WOULD HAVE WORKED THIS WAY :C + 3 = 5, REWRITTEN IT LOOKS AS FOLLOWS: C +3 +(-3)=5 + (-3).THIS BREAKS DOWN TO THIS: C +3 -3 = 5 -3 & THEREFORE C = 2 NOW YOU MAY SAY HERE THAT THIS IS HOW HE SOLVED IT,WHICH IS TRUE,BUT LOOK AT HOW IT ACCTUALLY IS I.E. C +3 -3 = 5 -3,THIS MEANS THAT C + 0 =2, AND SINCE 0 IS CALLED IN MATH THE "IDENTITY ELEMENT IN ADDITION" & ANY NUMBER ADDED TO ZERO IS ITSELF,( IF YOU ALSO SUBTRACT ZERO FROM ANY NUMBER THE NUMBER IS ALSO ITSELF)THEN C + 0= 2 MEANS THAT C MUST BE EQUAL TO 2.THIS MAY SEEM LIKE A ROUND ABOUT WAY TO SOLVE AN EQUATION,BUT ONCE YOU LEARN THE REASON FOR ADDING A NUMBER TO GET RID OF ANOTHER NUMBER,AND THEREFORE ISOLATE AN UNKNOWN IT WILL BECOME AUTOMATIC TO YOU TO BOTH DO AND TEACH.
