If you can afford it, SH Figuarts are always worth it: the quality of plastic, the smoothness of articulation and its variety, the number of accessories, the interchangeable parts, the exceptional paint job. Since Bandai is a Japanese company, many of its designers make their craft an art. Hasbro is generally a toy company to cater to a wider variety of consumers. Bandai however exclusively targets collectors and older toy owners.
Figuarts nailed the likeness on all the old guys from the sequel trilogy.

Hello Luke thanks for another informative video. I have this Solo, I picked him up for about $18 dollars 💵 a couple of years ago. I've thought about getting this Solo figure with the new head and I probably will eventually, wait for a sale or clearance. The Figue Arts is to expensive for my budget and collection, but it does look really good. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these figures. I'll catch you later, Tom
Amazon had the Archive one up for pre-order for less than $18 at one point so I figured I would go ahead and upgrade the old atrocious one. If not for the sale I would have just waited and kept the old one buried deep in the collection. 😆

Honestly while the articulation may be a bit dated, I think the new headsculpt is excellent and overall the figure looks pretty great. I have it on pre order and im excited to get it and replace the older version. I actually kind of prefer the new headsculpt to the Figuarts version but the Figuarts body is better.
i love the figuarts version. It was in my top figures the year it came out. It just has sass, and is easy to put in a realistic pose. I didn't even consider grabbing the archive version, and gave the first release a hard pass. Thanks for the video.
TFA Han is actually the only Figuarts figure that I own...and it is amazing!
I personally don’t care for this style of Han at all, but the Figuarts one definitely looks the best. The likeness is spot on.
The face of Harrison Ford is really mind blowing on the SH Figuarts, but the shoulders have .....big gaps...(compared to the black series). If one ever spot them, because the face, and the rest, are so awesome.

Despite how much I hate that movie, the Figuarts TFA Han is a great figure. It stands out on the shelf due to the black series being at a low point at the time as you mention.

No comparison imo. That Figuarts is the best Harrison Ford likeness in 1/18, 1/12, or 1/6 scale. It’s rare that I’ll call a figure perfect right out of the box. That figure is perfection
Get rid of him by stuffing him in a no display box of a freshie and "return it." Bad karma but do it anyway.
