Coach: You know that's a left handed stick?
Otis: HERMAN!
...really Otis, were you expecting anything less? lol.
As someone who keeps tarantulas.. why can't shows EVER show even half decent care for them. The one that "bit" him, is an Arizona or Desert Blonde Tarantula (Aphonopelma Chalcodes), they're extremely docile and are not harmful. You likely won't be allergic to their venom unless you are allergic to bees/wasps. I have one and she is the calmest of 7 I have at the moment. Please don't let videos like this, harm your view on spiders in general. Most cannot and will not harm you.
Tarantulas are picked for things like this because they're big and scary-looking but also very well-behaved so they're easy to film with. My mother once had a Mexican red-knee tarantula as a pet when she was young and it was as docile as they come.
@@samalvey8168 I wouldn't say well behaved. Tarantulas forever are unpredictable, some species just happen to be more docile than others. I know they have to use unharmful Ts but the enclosures they used could have at least shown some sort of decent care. They need dirt and a lot of it for species who are at fall and rupture risk, like A. Chalcodes.
@@drawingdinokai Oh, right, the exoskeleton makes them vulnerable to shattering if falling from on high.
@@samalvey8168 Yep, so while I understand why they use docile species, the care shown is gonna end badly for many pet tarantulas. People who get them, not knowing better, who see this and think they can keep them cheaply this way.. its not good
When I was at college we had a Chilean Rose spider and she was lovely. We weren't allowed to handle her without supervision and only on a table but she didn't mean harm
