    I honestly love wuwa, exploration is fun and I like the echos mechanics. Like, there's a purpose for killing monsters other than materials

      It makes farming them actually bearable, because it feels like you're still progressing besides just farming materials.

    nice video bro, I almost agree with everything you said. It was such a surprise for me, after playing FGO for years I started to hate Gacha (first and only Gacha I ever played). I don't even know why or how I got to play Wuwa , but basically everything is awesome about it. Like you said Combat, Exploration, Character Designs, Echo Grind System... I never wanted to try another gacha, but with everything else so good it's hard not to play this game. At this point I don't even use my 5 Star Chars, because Rover Havoc is just insanely strong as the main char (and a REALLY hot waifu aswell).

      I hope you're able to enjoy the game for as long as you can! Kuro is even attempting to fix things that aren't the best, which is another reason I rated it well. Potential is through the roof.

    the JP dub is so good i see other people use it, i wish i could but cant
    the eng dub feels very lacking in expression for a majority of characters and scenes, even bigger cutscenes with main characters, it is good, until you hear how emotive it is in others.
    Hope they can improve on english dubbing in future
    i love almost every other aspect of the game :)

    most of the time the english dub is bad in games like this so thats why i play on japanese

    • @nvakagames
      @nvakagames  Před 24 dny

      Understandable, when exploring I might do that- but during the story, I'd like to hear the acting job to make sure it's good. If it's not then it probably needs improved.

      @@nvakagames definitely needs to be improved. most of the time the english dubs are so much more cringey. either that or the voice actors sound almost identical to eachother (i don't think WUWA has the same issue but i'm not sure since i haven't played it much). it's not really just an issue with WUWA that the eng dub sucks. its just most anime/anime-styled media that has that problem. i'm kinda sad its always like that.

    • @medojed8266
      @medojed8266 Před 22 dny

      Yeah the eng dub is not the best I have seen but they did apologize and will work on re-doing the voice acting direction to fill in the gaps. And I think the voice acting will get better as the game goes forwards because they will look at the feedback and see what needs to be improved.

    The issue with the game is that it lacks originality and identity. The only original concept is the echo system. Everything else is either directly taken from other existing concepts or tweaked a little bit to be “better”. Although I do agree that the combat is its strongest point. It’s still just a blend of two styles of existing IP’s. I also agree that the world traversal is great as well. However, the only other thing that could save it would be the story…however starting off with a protagonist that lost their memory joining up with strangers they meet to recover them? Come on…Yet again…not an original concept and quite frankly is overdone. Also, the characters could fit into any ajrp or jrpg, it’s kind of weird that they’re rated so highly. The game is a solid 6 … maybe a 7 on its best day.
    I am having fun with the game, but once you get to lvl 30 + the gameplay loop is exactly like Genshin (which I haven’t played in 3 years). So the game doesn’t feel new or innovative…besides the combat…that’s probably the only stand out from the game for me.

    • @nvakagames
      @nvakagames  Před 25 dny +3

      Genshin isn't original either, it's just Breath of the Wild but anime with artifacts. Wuthering Waves is Genshin but more realist, serious, and fast. Every game is similar to a different game, and Wuthering Waves is definitely no exception. It's definitely not for everyone, but if you're looking for an open world game with actual combat and mechanics that isn't too difficult- but also gives a challenge- then this game is perfect for you. The traversal alone makes this game so much more appeasing imo, it's an absolute pain in Genshin and Breath of the Wild, or really any other open world I've played besides Middle Earth: Shadow of War.
      I'm currently UL32, and the gameplay loop is definitely a lot more fun. At this point there is still a long ways to go- as it's 1.0- and the fact that it competes gameplay wise with titles like these, it definitely raises the question of what will be better in the future.

      @@nvakagames hrmm, I did not say genshin was original. And saying every game is similar to every other game is a bad take and just objectively wrong. There are plenty of original IPs that are innovative and have their own identities…for example Dark Souls, Final Fantasy, Doom, COD, etc just to name a few.
      Your video is titled with “honest review” and you say the game is “without a doubt” a 9/10. I just completely disagree with that. Lies of P is a game that came out recently that tried to get into the soulsborne genre. That was a successful homage and did it right. That game was a 9/10. Putting WUWA as the same caliber is wild to me. I just think highly rating something that clearly lacks innovation, identity, and originality and clearly lifts concepts from previous IP while just doing some things in a slightly different way and other concepts the exact same is not worthy of such high praise (in my opinion).
      Also, I only mentioned genshin purely because the game loop is honestly just like it…and this is coming from someone who does not play nor has no skin in the game for genshin. To say it’s very different is just not true…sorry to say.
      Anyways I certainly hope the game gets better and I hope it becomes successful…however I think people should expect more and be more critical…its also ok to criticize it without being assumed you are white knighting genshin.

      @@philupmycupp1 I played Genshin for about a year starting 2022 in July. Definitely was a later start, but I just wanted to do the Spiral Abyss. It takes WAY too long to farm artifacts in Genshin for your whole team, especially if it's a 4* team. Yes, you could beat the game without 5*'s, but the artifacts needed are quite insane- main reason being is that you had to do them daily. In WuWa you can atleast farm the base artifacts whenever, and the daily currency is used for your weapons and character. Now obiously you'll need XP for echoes, but as time goes on you'll have upgraded echoes that you can use as XP.
      It's the same loop, but for something way easier to farm. Genshin was artifacts, WuWa is character materials. From playing it myself for ~100 hrs already (I missed the first couple days actually), I've already had way more fun than any other open world game I've played before. I haven't listened to all the music yet- unlike the other games- and I still find that better. Like you said it's a mix of other games, and they mix some of the best parts. Genshin was missing parts, and WuWa fixed those parts.
      Also I meant that every game is similar in some way shape or form to other games. (they mix parts) Sorry for the misunderstanding.
      I do honestly think this is a 9/10 game because it already has enough content to last a whole month off of release, and that content competes with popular open world games. From the experience I've already had playing this game, I find it better than basically any other game I've played. (except TF2)
      Thank you for sharing your opinion, I'm glad you felt free to talk about it!

      @@philupmycupp1 Majority of the games you see have elements that are copied of other games and just tweaked for their own game. It does not matter if a game copies something, if the studio manages to make it better or suitable for their game then why do we care if it is a similar element to other games. And of course new genres will have their own identity, that is until new games come to the genre which will literally use some form of content from the previous games to make their own new game. So while your point is valid, it is only valid for now because in the future it will be invalid.

    • @philupmycupp1

      @@medojed8266 wuwa’s biggest differences are their echo system - which is unique, its combat, and world traversal qol. Other than that everything from the game is so similar to other games out there it literally feels like you’re just playing a reskinned version of a different game. I did not say that games can’t improve on other concepts. However, this game is just an amalgamation of existing concepts and they only “improved” on the combat and world traversal. However, the combat is still a 3 party arpg using a swapping mechanic and element mechanic. It’s hardly that vast of an improvement on the genre. None of the concepts are mind blowing. My response is because OP said nothing is original and every game copies every game. Which is just objectively wrong. Also not to mention…the story concept has already been done to death. So the game lacks originality, depth, and identity.
      It is ok for consumers to want more and better. It’s ok to criticize a product. It’s also ok to enjoy playing the same game over and over again in different forms. I’m not yuking anyone’s yum. But I stand with my opinion that the game is ok and is definitely nowhere near a 9/10. My standards just may be higher for myself and what I want out of a game.
