  • I have reported the issue of premature wear and tear to Fuego Dance Shoes Company. Moreover, attempts to address these concerns with the company's customer service have often been met with delays and inadequate solutions. As a result, I am left frustrated to have wasted my time and recommending these dance shoes.

    I have the same experience. My outside shoe has very small eels. They coming off when I dancing. They are defected. The eels part should be higher. Very uncomfortable to dance freely without coming off. I have to be very careful and I cannot do some salsa moving because they will coming off. I tried to write a review for this company to mention my problem and help others but they don't let me. They control the reviews; means their reviews are not real. They made up because there is no way people can write a review in this company websites

      Fair to say loads of social media hype but poor costumer service. Questionnable durability even tho they mention on their website shoes are durable. So much for that;)

    Good review! I got some of the red high tops for dancing in Zumba class. They mark up the dance floor with red marks that don't come up easily. Embarrassing! Will be looking for better dance shoes, even though I loved the pivoting ability they did give me. It is difficult to find shoes made without animal products though. I have been telling people I don't recommend them either when they ask me about my new shoes. Disappointing after spending $120 on new shoes.

    I'm looking for synthetic split sole shoes and almost bought these. However, when I read the reviews off their own site, there were quite a few bad reviews so I decided to keep looking.
    As for your shoes, a cobbler ('cordonnier') could glue it back together. Although this is far from where you live, there is a good one in Dorion Gardens that does this kind of thing. I used them to double up suede shoes and have a new dancing base.

      the split-soles really hurt my feet. Would never buy those again.

    Their customer service is nonexistent. My dance instructor also recommended these shoes. After wearing them a few times, they stretched out. The return policy is 30 days and in brand new condition. I reached out to customer service and they basically said sorry your problem. I sent pictures showing the shoes couldn’t be laced up any tighter and almost no wear & tear on the soles. They replied- sorry can’t help you. I would not recommend this shoe company. They definitely do not stand behind their product. Horrible customer service.

    honestly? getting an entire year’s use out of a shoe with consistent daily use for 110 dollars is completely reasonable. Do you have any experience with other shoe brands lasting longer? genuinely curious.

    • @SalsaBailaProductions

      Normal wear is ok. My left shoe is all good the right one is the culprit. I owned many bands of shoes thru out the years. I currently rotate about 5-6 pairs. I have shoes that i still wear after 10 years. I dont think we should be re-buying anything every year because of poor quality. If we accept that might as well buy everything at the dollar store ;)
      In this video im not referring to normal wear and tear. The sole is coming off… also their communications with me were slow and generic. I referred plenty of customers to them… and was in their partner program… its a bizarre way to deal with people that showcase their brand;) its not about money ( even tho here in canada I end up paying almost double the amount ) Basically, its how they dealt with me after that ticked me off…so many useless exchanges. i can understand that shit can happen but do something. If they just took responsibility for the problem and extended a small rebate for a new pair I would've accepted. But think about it, if you had a rep for your company wouldn't you want them to wear gear that is it tip top shape? Thanks for you comment you got me going again lol

      @@G.L.V actually the best thing to do is to go try some at a local shoe dance store… dance shoes should feel good and snug to your feet;) ordering online without trying is a hit and miss

    I'm curious if you would have still made a video regarding shoe quality had Fuego sent you a brand new pair. You say it's "not normal" for a shoe to have "defects" after 1 year, but is that because you happen to know that generally speaking Fuego shoes do not have defects after 1 year of use? Does Fuego make any claims regarding how long their shoes will last? Seems that the 1 month return policy means their shoes have a 1 month lifespan and anything longer than that is a bonus.

    • @SalsaBailaProductions
      @SalsaBailaProductions  Před 4 měsíci

      I would give the benefit of the doupt if i would’ve feel they wanted to fix the issue. I have only 1 pair. They mention high quality durable on their site. Guess not! Recently some of my customers reported to me that they didnt like their customer service ways. Honestly, Im not into doing this kind of videos but because i recommended them for a year and did an initial favorable review and customer service is very important to me i felt it was important to give the whole picture;)

      Yeah I mean a year seems a decent amount of time for a pair of trainers. He's asking a bit too much. Yes a pair of shoes will probably last longer but I don't think they've done anything scandalous

  • @ecompixel339
    @ecompixel339 Před 2 měsíci +1

    To be fair, a 1 year and 2 months with frequent use seems to be a reasonable amount of time for shoes to last before they start defecting. Seems kind of crazy to expect a return or repair from them after over a year of the purchase.

    • @SalsaBailaProductions
      @SalsaBailaProductions  Před 2 měsíci

      Its a matter of opinion;) I never saw anything remotely like that in my other brands! I didnt expect a refund or return… i was curious about their after sales service… cause i was recommending these shoes to my students… result not a passing grade in my books. Finally, I dont think anything that you pay premium bucks that falls appart after a year is a good deal. Thanks for sharing your point of vue;)

    • @yee-pingcho5548
      @yee-pingcho5548 Před měsícem +1

      To the OP: Respectfully, it's not a "defect" if the shoes have been used regularly and have started to fall apart. Absolutely legit to feel let down, but disappointment is expectation unmet, by definition. However, I understand the additional expectations given the partnership and referrals - that your students look to you as a source of reliable endorsement. IMHO, a defect is about the product as it arrives out of the box, but it doesn't extend to wear and tear. I do agree that the way a company chooses to stand behind their product goes a long way to building credibility. The challenge for the seller is that they open the floodgates to abuse if they get a reputation for exchanging "defective" products. Look at what Costco has to contend with. Not a good fit, as they say. Anyway, thanks for sharing your experience.

      What did anybody expect? Most of the price for the shoes goes into marketing. They are dirt cheap leatherette sneakers with a hardplastic sole. The turning points are just marketing as well. The same result would be present if those spots were just flat hard plastic as well. Never trust a company that does social media marketing. It's prety much always a ripoff these days.

    In addition....line dancing is a huge market and many line dancers wear and promote Fuego, but they have no photos or mention of line dancing....no advertising to line dancers or appear at large line dance events....zero acknowledgement of the entire enormous line dance community and potential market. Just entirely diss the genre....and their shoes are butt ugly.

  • @alexanderv4609

    I don't really understand your complains. 1 year is pretty much time. Nobody will make a return after a year of using them. Try it with any other brand and you will see the same reaction.
    Furthermore, anyone who buys Fuego shoes can became a partner. Its just a way of advertisement. Its not something special about you. I am not a dance teacher, but I can also become a partner. Finally, you cannot expect much from the shoes made of plastic and rubber in terms of durability. I have the same pair of shoes. I find them a bit expensive for the materials used in production, but I was aware of it, when I was buying them. Nevertheless, I find these shoes pretty good for dancing, especially for open air.
