Hey Chris. Woohoo, one of my favorite notes. Starlight is at the top of my wishlist along with Babycat but that one will take a while to get. Love so many of these. Bois D’Ore is just so beautiful. I can’t smell much of anything this week (battling bronchitis) so I am living my best life listening to your descriptions.

I do have two of the ones you have shown and would like to eventually test a few of the ones I don't have out. Love this.- I think I need to go to Molten Brown and check out their fragrances. I have never taken them seriously, to be honest. But we have a few here in York so will try them when I get a chance. Great list. I am still in awe of your collection btw, so many gems.

I just learned of Alghambra over the weekend at Scentxplore in NYC, and King of Flowers was a standout for me from that line. There were SO MANY amazing fragrances there- it did get pretty overwhelming for me by mid day two! Not focused on vanilla, but I did come home with Aura Tonka by Premier Note. It's heavenly!

Just found you today! Love your list. Many are my favs and you've turned me on to some houses i've never heard of (EBK, Morobito). Thank you. I've been enjoying Milk Musk edt this fall, but want to test the perfume which has slightly different notes. Just got a 2 ml sample of Vanilla Barka attar. You left out Ani, a good leather pants, vroom vroom cold weather vanilla, but i've put it aside this year too. Nice to meet you. See you again!

Omg Tihota is perfection imo 10/10. I also love Vaniglia, Fire at Will and Insulo. They are all so comforting to me. My kids and I visit a beautiful guest ranch in northern Colorado and one of the housekeepers took a picture of my fragrances in our cabin because she could still smell the scent and wanted to get it. It was SDV and BR540.

Lot of scrumptious sounding vanillas there, Chris! I'm leaning heavily toward wearing my Lalique Le Parfum to my husband's annual family gathering in a couple of weeks, one I have not attended in four years. I feel like it's a performance! I am considering which body cream/lotion over which to layer it so that it will last the day-it's 2 hours to get there and will be several hours long. I know on its own it won't last. Becky Collazo suggested Warm Vanilla Sugar by VS or a fragrance free Aveeno lotion to anchor the scent for longer into the day. I was torn between the Lalique and an even more gourmand scent like maybe Ristretto Intense Cafe (I have a sample I can layer over B&BW Coffee and Whiskey body cream). In any case, have to have some vanilla in there, maybe some caramel. Thinking warm and comforting to comfort *me* that day. Those visits make me nervous, being around a lot of people, especially people who are not used to me wearing fragrance. What I like about your chanel is that you don't show us the most popular items/brands in perfume industry all the time, I can see so many " new" unknown scents to me when I watch your videos, which is great. I watch other chanels about perfumes and I have this feeling that everyone is talking about the same stuff , here I can get so much more than than 🥰 thx! I am a fan of more sweet, powdery vanilla although since a couple of days I've been thinking about Babycat, only what I am afraid of is ( so much) pepper in it...I need to think about a sample first :) Gentle fluidity gold sounds like my type of vanilla, I need a sample :)

So I'm pretty obsessed with vanilla especially anything cozy for the fall/winter months! One of my all time favorites for comphy sweater wearing weather is Meharées by L'Erbolario, it's spicy warm cozy. It's supposed to be a dupe for Musc Ravageur by Frederic Malle which I still need to try! Another good vanilla which is in the form of a solid-ish oil is Monoi Tiare Tahiti Coconut Oil Vanilla. It's sold on Amazon but I was actually lucky enough to pick some up in actual Tahiti last fall :)

My next buy is gonna be Orchidee Vanille. I love that it has all the stuff i like - gourmand notes and orchid. Also, im so glad to hear from you that Lira is not that godly as other gourmand lovers say. I personally find Lira way too loud and sweet. I only have a sample which i like to sniff sometimes to remember, but i would not buy it because i would not use it regularly because i find it too much. I think it is a typical fragrance that with two sprays are just enough if not too much.
Orchidee Vanille is so pretty and yes I could definitely live without Lira. 😉❤️
OMIGOODNESS, thank you for a huge vanilla video. I have been getting into my vanillas, and want to find the best ones for me. A bunch of these sound amazing, and cannot wait to try. Also, have you tried Vanagloria by Laboratorio Olfattivo? Apparently it is a pretty spot-on version of Babycat, and it's by the same perfumer. And much more accessible in the states.

Awesome list! I truly enjoyed this one as I love the note of vanilla. I want to get my hands on something from The Merchant of Venice. That bottle was gorgeous. I keep hearing about Molton Brown fragrances. I love their shower gels. I need to stop dragging my feet and purchase Material. Loubirouge does not last on my skin. I bought the miniature set 2 years ago and that’s the only one I won’t buy because my skin drinks it after 15 minutes it’s gone.

Love this! I think I have tried every fragrance here except the Loubitan which is probably note for me with the iris and cardamom. And NO you cannot declutter Tihota!! We will have to revoke your vanilla license😂🤣 With that said, I have just sampled Farmacia SS Annunziata Reunion Vanilla which is way more like Nemat vanilla musk than Tihota imho

@@ThePerfumeNest Reunion Vanilla is one of their new fragrances. I think they discontinued almost all the older ones. It is different than Vaniglia de Madagascar..almost identical to Nemat vanilla musk.

Ah hello!! One of my most repeated mantras is nothing is blind buy safe. Everyone has different tastes ; especially the more expensive ones. Lots of places carry samples; Scent Split, Lucky Scent, Twisted Lily, Krystal Fragrances…..

Hi Cris! After watching your channel I purchased Lira by Xerjoff, Ylang Ylang Nosy Be by Perris and By the Fire Place. Amazing! Today I tried Dahab by Kajal, Mon Parfume by M. Micallef and Oud Rose Intense by Fragance du Bois but they are not for me. What I realised today is that Fenix by L’Arc is quite similar to Baccarat Rouge 540! A good option for 190€ (100ml).

Unfortunately, I now don't like it a lot. The fruity-syrupy opening always bothered me but I managed to tolerate it for a fiew 2 years. But now, I just cannot tolerate this opening on me anymore, too sweet for me. So I motivate myself to finish my bottle, I overspray it to bed, where I won't smell it for too long ^^'. It's funny how our taste can change so much.
BUT I have a suggestion for you ! Bcs I was disliking the EDT bcs of the fruits, I finally tried the EDP version. Full of hopes that I would like it better bcs no fruits... well it is a no for me. The top notes are Milk, and Elemi resin. And unfortunately, the Elemi is VERY prominent to me in the begining, and I hate that note. It gives a cold church atmosphere that... gets me anxious, that is so strange 😂 but yeah, cold fragrances really can "scare" me in a way. But I know you are so into incensy, churchy type of incense smells. So with the usual vanilla-tonka-ambroxan stuff mixed with, I'm sure you could really love it. Original, way stronger, and charismatic.
So yeah you definitely should try ;)

@@ThePerfumeNestWell the openings have nothing in common, but I have to say the dry-down of the EDP is similar to the EDT. With still this incensy, resinous, cold but not bright aspect that the EDT doesn't have. To me it reminds me of metal, or of the churches' walls ^^' (not something I like). So well, I think if you buy it, it wouldn't be a waste of money for a twin of the EDT. Bcs it isn't ;)

Is there a more affordable alternative that you can think of for MFK gentle fluidity gold ? That sounds like something I’d like but that price tag is too much. Hi, many people compare GFG by MFK to Intense Cafe. I see little resemblace, but it reminds me a lot of Alien by Mugler, yet without juniper berries. You might want to give it a try.
