Zwag, there is a trap placement trick! You can put your trap just above their tower so they cant see it. If you have pushed them in just put in a little above the tower, they walk in it like 80% of the time

i love this build so much, i used to use it in bot anyway before the ult buffs because of how much i liked the ult damage. so happy to see zwag playing this build now and maybe itll inspire me to play cait mid more in ranked!

I know I have learned a ton just from watching your videos.
I watch every video for 2 years in a row now and can Tell You That You will automatically Start to Play like Him. Maybe not as good but i have improved tremendously only by watching Him play
@@miguelduarteterrivel8127Note that he's a midlander -moslty-, so for example when he plays jungle some of the things he does is sub-optimal. Same goes for other lanes as well.
And don't get me wrong, he'd wreck me even if I bring my main to jg while he plays skarner, but that wasn't my point.

How about using traps to make the lane smaller for enemies? Does that also trigger headshot? Seems less mana and work the enemy even harder. Could have made the first matchup easier.
I would say he underutelizes traps in lane. Xerath has no mobility spells, so against champs like that I wouldn't max Q first. I would put 3 points into Q then max W. During level 1-5 I would pay attention to where Xerath tends to move, and then trap the 'usual' corner and movement spots where a cait usually traps, but position them more towards where Xerath usually moves. There are a few things I'm noticing (I probably have 200-300 Cait games), but the lack of trap usage in "early" game is what I really noticed.@@tatecomedy
Edit: Regarding 'usual' spots. People tend to use auto pathing. Auto pathing almost always uses the shortest route available, hence why you trap corners. The small opening on the left side close to 2nd turret is one of these spots i'm talking about, if anyone comes from raptors/base, they would be auto pathed around the corners and hit the trap, from there you have a lot of combos to do. When you have someone trapped, you should often try to use E before Q due to the long animation, and it can give you the ability to 'machine gun' the headshots, meaning they animation cancel like if you were AA'ing at like 4.0 AS
Hi love the content. You may or may not already know this but a couple things for Caitlyn (and this is just from Bot Cait) is we like to run ghost and flash because of Caits really poor mobility. And like the E + Q, E + W is arguably more used either when aggroing or defending. Trapping on yourself whenever against melee champs and kiting around the traps. Normally we play for Cait Q for early game damage and Headshot for poke until mid-late where main damage is headshot (hence E+ W playing around traps). The build used for bot is First Strike with Boots, minion demat(Help push wave fast) and cosmic insight, with sorcery second for mana. Building Ghostblade, Collector or Boots, Ldr or BT (order depending on game), Essence or Axium and sell boots for rfc. Again this is just a build for bot Cait and I’m not saying this is better or that you’re playing wrong (way better than me), just information that you may or may not find useful. This play style and build comes from a CZcamsr named xFSN_Saber!
I think his reasoning for barrier over ghost is that mid is a much shorter lane and you tend to have more bursty champs there like zed/talon/syndra

Practice animation cancelling the trap with your other skills. The burst can one combo people very early. Something like Trap > Net (while in air animation from net) > Forced Auto > Q > Forced Auto. Cait combo can get really insane if you can micro.

If you go minion demat, you can oneshot caster minions with one Q in mid game for faster push and subsequently faster tempo to be able to roam
Also, place traps only on convex corners, where champions will always walk around when using the games pathing OR when you get engaged or expect an engage place it beneath you so its ready when someone tries to get on top of you
