- I haven't done a lift video for a while so here are three in one video! All of these lifts are located around Blackfriars Bridge in London. The first is an Apex Inclinator lift. The second is a round hydraulic GBH lift with a creepy text to speech voice and the third, is an original 60s OTIS!
Loved seeing the old Otis elevator. My grandfather (working for Westinghouse Elevator) developed the original automatic elevator control systems in the 1940s (I think). Before that all elevators had human operators. He held the patents and Westinghouse licensed it to Otis and maybe others.
Was great step free access until the pub , having to climb 3 steps for lift lol. Very good video 👍

I didn't think there were any un-modded 60s Otis lifts left! Great video!
This was very cool and unique!
5:51 so LG is where the lads talk
A very up-lift-ing video - cheers !!
What sort of witchcraft are these strange machines pray tell?
Surprised that it hasn’t been modded! Great video!
You should hurry up and take a ride in before it gets modded
4:36 it's so quiet after the doors closed, kinda private
Nice find!!!
I'd love to have seen the motor room for the Otis.
Great to see an old Otis in such fine fettle.
YAS, it no longer says "please hold the handrail"
Great to see 60’s Otis

The Lord Mayors Show is a feast ...
Great video. Love the 60's OTIS. Are they hard to find in the UK?
Really rare these days! That's why I'm amazed at so many that have survived in NZ
@@morthren Amazingly, a 1960s apartment building in Plymouth which got renovated and turned into student accommodation still has the original 60s Otises.
