    My mom passed away 4 years ago and with our blessing we told her sell everything valuable and enjoy it all as we didnt need for anything and its exactly what she did I have kept family fotos and thats just about it... she repeated to me nearing 85 that things are of no importance its just things and she was right. I treasure the days and visits I spent with her. This video just proves its just things that once your a widow it isnt of importance but one thing for sure is that my mother loved cats and dogs and would never have left the poor cat to die... its sad.

      Im thinking that being it was so obvious this lady adored cats, the cat in the drawer was placed there by the "cat lady". It may have been her furbaby and after a long happy life it psssed away. Rather than bury it she layed it in the drawer after it passed away (notice the cloth around its skeleton) rather than bury it. This way (although already), she still had her baby with her. I'd rather believe this is what happened to the poor cat, rather than her just abandoning it. If it would have been left behind i don't think he'd lay down in that drawer to die.

    This was so sad, I really felt bad when I saw the poor cat had been left behind to die alone, I think it went in there to try and get some warmth and it obviously starved, breaks my heart 💔💔 I was rendered speechless after seeing that! Great explore though Dave 💙

  • @chloecastro-edwards9160
    @chloecastro-edwards9160 Před 4 lety +9

    Very sad about the cat, but I can imagine what happened there. When my elderly cats passed away, I lovingly buried them in my back garden and planted beautiful trees to mark their graves. I’m relatively young, but it was a hell of a job digging the holes deep enough. This elderly lady loved cats, and when her beloved puss passed away, the best she could do was to carefully lay it on a towel and place it in a drawer, where after decades it mummified. She couldn’t bear just to throw the little body in the dustbin. She clearly loved that cat very much.

    Car was a Nissan Datsun. There were some Datsuns that were very sporty and pricey.
    When my husband passed it took weeks to get his cat to come to me so I could bring him to my house. We had a “commuting” marriage. Honeymoon every weekend for 28 years, but I digress. So very true!! Nothing we accumulate on this earth can be taken with us. Therefore, we can either pass it on, or leave it to rot and decay. Which is the case with so many of these majestic, fantastic properties. We value our belongings, collections and treasures far more than any other person will. What is precious to us, may only be troublesome or junk to another.
      Obviously, in so many cases we see that family heirlooms, irreplaceable photos, etc. are no longer meaningful to relatives left behind in many cases. They just leave it to rot, decay, be vandalized or stolen. It means absolutely nothing to them. And just imagine the owners left to the trusted beneficiaries in many cases to care for their beloved belongings as they did in life. So sad to observe the results. Beautiful properties left to return to the earth and their belongings left behind for the vandals, ripoffs, and Mother Earth to claim what all is left.

    Yes I have seen this place explored many many times on youtube. I think I had asked you before if you had explored this place and you said yes. This was before it really got damaged, and now someone bought the place and is cleaning it up from what I have seen recently. Even Joe Weller explored here, of course did some damage. But I am glad this place is being saved and someone is taking care of it now. It looks like it had been apartments or rooms for rent at one point as well. Thanks for showing Dave :D

    Awesome video, the music was a very touching and it a shame that the lady who lived in the house could only find comfort in buying things to full her heart for the love that she lost. It truly was a sad video. Thank you for sharing.

Haha it’s okay you’re still my favorite and I too appreciate how you treat every location with such respect. You’re a class act!
