I remember the old OG CZcams beauty gurus used to say don’t put shimmer in the crease 😂 this is why it’s important to watch videos from people with the same features as you, like hooded eyes. Shimmer on the inner corner and crease has been my favorite technique to look more awake and bright eyed ☺️
Yes , I noticed that some gurus only master their certain eye type so I look for the same
I remember 20 years ago shimmer was like little shards that irritated your skin and lead to all kinds of problems. It's another world of make-up today and I am so happy I get to play with it 😊

In my 50s 2 of my 5 grandkids living most of the time with me and now my previously unhooded eyes have completely changed and became hooded. This was the first time using the technique and it was fairly easy. It took me longer than Smitha but after a couple of times it gets quicker. In my hectic life I don't have time for a long makeup routine so its either a quicky or go without 🤣 i hope you find it as helpful as I did. Best of luck 👍🙂 x

I don't understand. I only see hooded lids in the beginning, but once starting the tutorial, they are gone.. I think these are no hooded lids, where did the loose skin go? If I do this, the make up will cake in the creases and wrinkles. This girl has no wrinkles..
This might as well be the only hooded eye makeup video I've ever seen, applied on hooded eyes. Also, the steps were so easy to follow, and the look itself fantastic 😍

lol very same! i would be "crushin" it when drawing my eyeliner when looking down/or lid closed....but when i opened my eyes it disappeared/looked distorted and just couldnt figure out why! had no idea about different types of lids(knew about different eye shapes) much less hooded lids and that i had them until i found smithas videos/channel.

FINALLY a fun look for hooded eyes, from a creator who actually has hooded eyes. Very pretty ❤ I’ve been experimenting a bit on myself but everytime I search for inspiration for hooded eyes I always get the old ”only put shadow in the outer corner and blend up”, like YES I know

Ooh I can't wait to try this out. I have hooded eyes, I get discouraged everytime I do my eyeshadow and eyeliner and I end up wiping everything off which is a waste of product and time, and it's just straight up depressing sometimes lol

WOW Smitha - this is so clever! My eyes are very hooded and very crinkly so I won't be able to do the glitter thing but will adapt this and use a lighter colour in that place and see how I get on. Really great tip - thank you so much x
You can use glitter just a very fine glitter be sure to use concealer like she says it makes dabbing the glitter with your fingertip gently easy. Try it I thought the same thing just don't over do it. Blessings

Adding lashes always make a look 100X better. Also, I do think adding a glitter glue would really make the glitter pop! Beautiful as always 🙌🏼❤️

That effect is just stunning. But for me the problem is,that I don't have enough place between my eyelid/lashline and my eyebrow at all to apply eyeshadow. So the dark shadow is then exactly under my eyebrow and that obviously doesn't looks nice... I wonder if there is existing a trick too... But for individuals like you with more place under the eyebrow this is perfect☺

I absolutely love this look! I have large hooked eyes, and my lids are the darkest part of my eyes. I am a dark skinned female who is a total beginner. Pulled this back up for a special night out this weekend, the results were perfect! I used MAC paint pots for both stamping my crease (applied to the curler with a brush) and cleaning it up, and it lasted all 👏 night 👏 long 👏 Thank you for your brilliant tutorials and explanations 💜
