What a great reaction, I enjoy it very much.
Alip Bata is a phenomenal acoustic guitarist from Indonesia which is might be the most famous in you tube now with around 5.4 M subscribers with 500M views. He plays his guitar uniquely with very beautiful sounds (many people said it mesmerizing).
He plays guitar very clean and smooth, he has phenomenal talent.
Mostly he plays covers and there some of his original composition too. He rearranged all of his covers very beautifully and most of the time makes his songs even better then the original songs and he composed his original also very awesome (I consider some of his original as masterpieces). He always put emotion into his songs. He performed in various genre of music.
He has so many phenomenal guitar techniques and he uses only when required and many people call him the master of :
- harmonics (I never seen anybody play harmonics the way he does)
- Pull offs and hammer ons ( phenomenally fast and clean)
- Slides ( he slide notes and chords fast and clean )
- Bends ( He bends on the neck and over the neck and both are smooth and clean)
- Tempo. He play in very consistency tempo which sometimes changed faster or slower .
- Tuning. Many of his songs he plays are not in standard tuning and he usually put the the modified tuning in his channel. He uses so many kind of tuning and some of its we even cannot find in the guitar literature.
If we want to know about Alip's techniques then we need to watch at least 20 of his videos.
