  • Trying out flying the Dune Orinithopter in MSFS 2020
    Skimming over Sydney with fast climbs and dives, a couple of flights under the Harbour Bridge and a landing in the Domain.
    The second half has a landing on the roof of a building in East Sydney.
    Another player was also flying an Ornithopter at the same time and they buzz me several times. Hi to them!

    Been there, done that!
    I spent a very tragic hour taking ornithopter selfies in front of the opera house, the eiffel tower, buckingham palace, etc, etc.
    I have no life!

    I see you followed the one rule of MSFS - you must fly under the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Preferably from both directions

    This is technically a crime. Computers are not allowed in the Dune-verse and you are using a computer to fly this ornithopter. I must report you to the authorities.

      @@ozflightsim5974 it's solid, my pc with 3060 ti which is great dont get me wrong, but i feel games nowadays are so poorly optimized that it's tough to get good fps.

    I saw one of these planes flying back in 2022 around March. Very cool to see in person. I think it's a US Army vehicle but I am not sure.

      @@wovelscotch No I saw it. 4 of them flying in a line formation over San Diego near the Marine Corps base. My brother in law who is in the marines told me they use this kind of helicopter. Very cool. He said it is like air ambulance

    And this is one reason I would never trust a simulator for training purposes when we have garbage like this. I will stick with X-PLANE

      Just a quick question, what is wrong with this? Its meant for the casual audience, this isn't oriented for you. If you were pursuing flight training, wouldn't it make sense to utilize the study level aircrafts and implement the use of real-world procedures? The sim is fine
