- So the koi pond is pretty much shut down for the season but I need to keep myself busy! So I've got myself a 50 gallon aquarium to work on!

Thanks buddy 👍 I switched to marine about 3 years ago but I can't dedicate the time anymore unfortunately, so have gone back to tropical. I will be going all out with this tank though so really looking forward to getting it set up 👍
Nice update Matt, put the Koi tiddlers in the indoor tank and watche them grow, its great fun, and they will get to a nice release size for the pond come spring, best wishes, Tony😀

My pond here in Germany is closed for the Winter aswell 😞 Will miss my babies till next year 😕 Looking forward to seeing your Aquariums, I've got 11 in total LOL PS le Twisted one sent me hahahaha #greetingsfromgermany
Thanks Mark. Yeah this season has gone quick! I've just shut down my marine tank as I didn't have time it needs. But can't wait to get the 250 up and running. After that I want to set up a smaller betta community tank. I don't think the wife will let me have as many as you, I would if I could 👍
Vince sent me all the way from 🇨🇦... I have a few koi ponds but they are shut down for the winter because of our temps... They stay outside all winter though.

I was thinking of doing that vince but decided against it in the end. I might build a little temp pool in the garage for them though 👍

Thanks buddy 👍 That makes 2 of us 😃 I've had my marine tank for about 4 years now, it was something to keep me busy over winter but I'm not about enough to give it the time it needs which is sad because marine and corals are amazing. But I'm going to go all in on the new tropical tank so I'm really looking forward to getting it up and running 👍
Try insulating that pond & wrap with Painters carpet (that fuzzy roll with plastic on the other side ) and then clingfilm it well, or tight fitting tarp, the ROLL CANT GET WET. Do this every Winter here and my filter still goes at -14oC no probs (-6oC here now) Just a cheap tip if itts an expermient like you said #greetingsfromgermany
The main pond will stay as it is but I'll definitely look at insulating the blue pool 👍
