      FYI, the proof:
      assuming f is a bijective function, and let g be f inverse, then, the integral of inverse of x become ∫ g(x)dx,
      Note that x=f(g)
      dx=f'(g)dg
      Now, ∫ g(x) dx
      = ∫ g*f'(g) dg
      = ∫ gdf
      =g(x)*f(g) - ∫ f(g)dg
      =x*g(x)-F(g)+C where F is the anti-derivative of f,
      Now, since e^x is bijective from ℝ to ℝ⁺,
      let f(x)= e^x, g(x)=ln x, F(x)= ∫ e^x dx=e^x
      ∫ lnx dx = x*lnx -e^(lnx)+C
      =x*lnx-x+C
      PS: i know this looks complicated but if u know the formula u can immediately know the answer to the integral

    we kind of learned this strategy in school too. we remember the word "ALPES" where A means arctan, L means log, P means poly, E means exp, and S means sin/cos/tan. from A to S, we prioritize D, and from S to A, we prioritize I

      Inverse (arc-)
      Arithmetic (x^2, etc)
      Trigonometric (sin, cos, ...)
      Exponential (e^x, etc)

    I also found another method to do this, to multiply lnx by x/x, and so using u-sub to get the integral of ue^u du. Then, the DI method is used to derive the answer.

      I'm gonna show you how to integrate ln(x), and to do that, we just want to use integration by parts, and of course I will show you guys the D-I method.
      So let's go ahead and put down the D and I right here, and then put down the plus and minus here, and now we are ready. I'm not going to put down the ln(x) here, because we're trying to integrate ln(x), right? So we really have to differentiate ln(x), and we integrate 1.
      Now, differentiate ln(x) and get 1 over x; integrating 1, we get x. And now you see when we multiply this diagonal, we get x ln(x) and that's the first part. Then, when we multiply this row, that's still an integral, so we have minus integral 1 over x multiply x, and then we integrate that.
      See, this right here, that's equal to 1, so we have to integrate 1....AAGH!, in the x-world is gonna be AAGH! x ln(x) minus x, and then we are done so put down the +C, and that's it!
