Just ordered mine so im a bit new but basically everytime you want change firmware, will the saved commands be erased?. Also, will it automatically prompt you to update the firmware if you are using custom?. Great video btw 👌
Updating the firmware on a Flipper Zero does not necessarily overwrite everything on the device. While the firmware update will replace the system software to introduce new features or bug fixes, user data such as configurations and saved profiles typically remain intact unless specified otherwise by the update notes. However, it's always a good practice to back up your data before performing firmware updates to avoid any potential loss due to unexpected issues during the update process.
@secbydaniel what about in terms of automatic updates for example "Xtreme". Will I need to manually update the firmware from github or will an option pop up automatically on the QFlipper desktop app?.

@@3liverse QFlipper is the official software used to update the firmware on a Flipper Zero device. It updates the device with the official firmware releases from the Flipper Zero team. QFlipper simplifies the process of keeping your Flipper Zero up-to-date with the latest features and security patches by providing an easy interface to download and install firmware updates directly from the official sources.
you need to do manuel firmware update if you are using un-officiel firmware.
Great tutorial! Just one question, which MicroSD card do you recommend? 33gb, 64gb, 128gb... And HC or XC category.
The flipper can take up to 256GB. :)

@@PROTUNER Filesystem fat12, fat16, fat32 and exFAT. Type of card: The MicroSDHC typically goes up to max 32GB where as the MicroSDXC goes higher up. Choose a good quality card from samsung for example.
@@secbydaniel 32gig is really high . 16gig is enough id say . I bought the 32 thinking id download a lot stuff on it but now with a lot of stuff on it ive only used around 3% of the 32 gig available

i dont have a pc to do updates as im a gamer yet ive just got a flipper and i paid a shop owner to update it from the main flipper 0 site.i want the best firmware and you say xtreme is very good yet could i update through my smart tv as my console says unsupported file plus my phone connects to app through bluetooth so could you help me

@@secbydaniel my phone is a barrel of monkey jizz Samsung s6 edge,it wont show q flipper app on playstore then it decides to and tells me its not supported on my device,i aint buyin a new phone as it should 100%percent work,every phone since 2009 has been hacked n rifled through.so it looks like its long walks to shops for flipper updates,thnx for help
