@@joshsims3078 she left him once AFTER he declared that if they were gonna choose each other, they couldn't be partners. She never ghosted him. Even while she was undercover, she tried to reach out to him. So, not the same thing, not by a long shot. He abandoned her and ghosted her for 12 years!
I kinda hated how Elliott just walked out of Olivia’s life with no explanation I can understand retiring from the job but not walking out of a partners and friends life for good I mean he didn’t even come to console her after the whole William Lewis ordeal witch I would of thought they would of written in but they didn’t it would of been a nice and great Reunion of the two even could’ve given her an explanation why he just walked out of her life when she did nothing wrong. I know they have Elliot Stabler returning for season 22 I hope he can give her an explanation as to why he left they they can pick up from where they left off that would be really sweet.
As a fan I hate watching him leave, but on the other hand I get it. Going through a trauma like that... idk it’s difficult to explain. You just want to detach from anything and everything relating you back to that time, even the good stuff. And once you leave that relationship, the more time goes on the harder it is to reach out. You just keep thinking “they’re fine without me” or “why would they even want me back?” etc. I’m guessing Elliot will give some sort of explanation like that. But I really do wish he had been there for the Lewis thing. He missed so much of her life, and we don’t even know what’s been going on with him. The writers certainly have a large task on their hand. It’s not a simple reunion.
@@mckayleem3098 oh I know how like how is it gonna be explained why he wasn’t there for Liv for what was a very terrible time in life with that ahold William Lewis the 2 times he had her if I care about someone it doesn’t matter what went in our lives of why I felt I couldn’t be around if they went through something like that I’d be there for them no matter what

Maybe he didn’t because he didn’t plan on it being permanent. Or he just figured that if they didn’t have closure then there would be a greater chance of them being in each other’s lives again.
@@mckayleem3098 True. But if it was part of the job they would've at least had to be notified why their partner was MIA. He let Cragen tell her and then never even texted her back, so I think he just figured it would be easier for her to move on if she thought he didn't care anymore.
Ell u don't leave Liv without an explanation at least say goodbye, your friendship and your trust broken how could u do that to liv for all she knew u probably died and she wouldn't even know. I imagine in the new season liv is gonna have a hard time trusting ell and then all the emotions she's been feeling is going to resurface

I felt the same way, but since it was Elliot, you can kind of see him just shutting everyone out. Liv would've had to at least say good-bye.
