In this walk, we are first in the Deichman new library and then we go to the center of Oslo and finish in the GlasMagasinet shopping center.

Deichman Bjørvika is the main library for Deichman, the public library in Oslo municipality. It is located in Bjørvika, between Oslo S and the Oslo Opera House. The construction work started in 2013 and was completed in December 2019. The new library planned to open with the collections from the old main library at Hammersborg and an expanded public offer on 28 March 2020, but the opening was postponed due to the closure of the public. fundraising venues as a result of the 2019-2020 coronavirus pandemic. The official opening was on 18 June 2020. The library has won a number of awards, including the Norwegian Library Association's award for Library of the Year 2020, the international library association IFLA's award for Public Library of the Year 2021 and the award Trend Brand of the Year 2020.
The lower floor of the building houses bookshelves, a cinema hall and an auditorium for 200 people. The entrances lead to the first floor, which also has a coffee bar/restaurant and reception. Here also hangs the light structure "Brainstorm", made by Lars Ø. Ramberg, which consists of 400 meters of neon tubes.
On the second floor there are fiction books and on the third floor music, films, comics, games and adventures - as well as a number of opportunities for hobby activities. On the fourth floor there are books on art, architecture, health, technology and science, and there are a number of group rooms and study rooms. On the fifth floor there are books on social studies, history, psychology, philosophy and religion, and several study rooms, some of which are in a larger open section that juts out over Anne Cath. Vestlys plass, with a view of the Oslofjord.
In total, the library houses over 450,000 books, as well as equipment for various activities - including musical instruments, sewing machines, soldering equipment, 3D printers and tools.
