- The grandson of Muhammad Ali Nico Ali is training for his Boxing pro debut in August with top rank on espn. Here is a quick training highlight of him. He stopped by Mike Tyson's ranch and got a workout in. He also was working with multiple UFC Fighters. The guys last name he is working with on the waterbag is Lopez. Muhammad Ali used to talk to him about boxing and rewatch his amature fights with him as a kid and would break down all the things he would do right and wrong. He has competed as an Amatuer boxer for awhile and will finally make his pro debut In August on ESPN.

Yo, Nico has terrific hands, stiff jabs and devastating hooks. He can definitely be a top boxer. It's unfair to try to compare him to Ali; he can be great in his own lane.

Allow the man to stand on his own merit. Ali is a very hard act to follow and although he is Ali's Grandson, the likelihood of him having a career that is as stellar as Muhammad Ali's is slim. Don't sabotage the kid by setting a bar higher than other amateurs in the field before he even gets started. Just because he is Ali's Grandson doesn't mean he will be as good as him. Let the kid grow without piling your expectations on his shoulders and weighing him down.

Man is a class act. From what I’ve seen he honors his legacy, but gives glory to his corner and to God. But he works HARD in the mean time to be the best fighter he can be. Wherever he goes, I’m sure he’ll be his own boxer and make the fighting world proud.

Actually, Marvis was a pretty good boxer who could have went further in his career if he didn't have his dad Smokin' Joe manage it and train him. Marvis had about 20 bouts but only lost two. His first loss was against then champion Larry Holmes, but he was rushed into that fight and wasn't prepared for a title bout; he was just too inexperienced. He was destroyed in about 20 seconds of the first round in his fight with Tyson, but hell, Tyson was KOing everybody in the first round at that time. Also, he was really too small to be a heavyweight and should have fought as a cruiserweight. In doing so, I believe that he would have become a contender.

I like this young man.. I'm hoping that he eventually transitions to MMA and work out of Jackson/Wink camp where Clarissa Shields is now training.... He'd be a Superstar in MMA for sure. Middleweight boxing has some stiff competition in the Canelo, Benevidez, Charlos and Berlanga. Not to say he won't be ready for that competition someday, but I believe his Superstar will come from MMA if he decides to make the transition..
