Michel Rivard always seems to be able to come up with good solid songs. I never get tired of him. I met him briefly at the University of Guelph just prior to a concert in which he was performing. I was supposed to take care of the lighting. He asked me if I knew the songs (à ce moment-là je parlais pas un estie de mot de français). I replied and he said "ok, if it's a soft song keep the lights dim, if it's fast, make them bright". I didn't appreciate how big a musician I was actually meeting.
