What did MM do in Nigeria but change her clothes and speak about herself? The First Lady was accurate! Why did she go to Nigeria!
She should have gone to the Caribbean, her mother surely is more latterly from there? She doesn’t know her Nigerian tribe, I’d have made her tell that from the start, all nonsense, this jolly was a disaster for them both. People only care about them in as much as we need to keep ahead of their shenanigans, report on them, and to defend our Royal Family and country because the majority of the press seems to defend that pity party of two.
Best summation of really ANY Meg appearance. She changes clothes way too often - obviously merching stuff for desperate designers. I am sick of the sight of her preaching to us with a microphone. Struggling to see how marrying Harry makes her qualified to speak on anything.
Nobody will buy clothes off designers that m uses as she never does them justice, too long, too baggy, too tight, too creased, mis- matched etc etc

She could have easily had a few dresses tailor made for her. Very popular and really cheap to make back in Nigeria. Elegant and feminine and the designs are unique to her figure. Firstly it's only because their PR teams pump out 'puff' pieces every day and lazy reporters cut and paste so the two are constantly in our faces whether we like it or not, and secondly they are so generally disliked we are all waiting and hoping for their inevitable huge and final fail. The majority of us are definitely not interested in what they have to say and wish they would go away permanently.

The one word is "tawdry." Cheap, showy and tasteless well and truly describe the Montecito Mountbatten-Windsors, especially Meghan. They mooched a free vacation from Nigeria and got a ton of publicity for themselves. They didn't do much to promote the games on what was supposed to be an Invictus development trip, so it was a flop as far as that was concerned. As long as the media keeps covering the couple, we will all continue to be subjected to their celebrity nonsense. It can stop with you...let's begin with not calling their travels any kind of 'royal tour.' It's not and never will be. That is reserved for business arranged and sanctioned by the Monarchy and the British government. California pseudo-celebrity grifters definitely don't qualify!

I have to agree with the guy with beard.... wayyy back when I left school, I had no idea what I wanted to do, my parents couldn't afford to send me to teachers college and I sat home for a couple months in disgust i couldn'tdo my dream job, then we were offered 'work for the dole' schemes... I did a secretary job..it went for 12 mths while the woman was on maternity leave, but it gave me confidence, connections, refined my skills I got from school...and afterwards, I got a couple of jobs in shops and decided to sit the nurses exam (you trained in hospitals still back then, and did your training in conjunction, while you earned a wage..and the extra skills you gained under old nurses who have knowledge and skills that arent in any books, just years of experience..they could take one look at a patient and have them triaged and off for the right treatment while hospitals of today are still filling in their pages of paperwork!!!) And then nursed for 35 yrs...poor health myself, i retrained into social work and did that for 16 yrs, retired recently after being employed all my life (even while pregnant and returning afterwards).
Lynnette, your resume is marvelous! I know of those days when teaching and nursing were led by experienced nurses. No computers to Search! As you say, so much time is wasted filling out forms, most of which will go in the trash. Patients meanwhile need their treatments, tests, baths, medications, nutrition. Visitors all over the place, kids commandeering wheelchairs and gurneys! Even the language will likely be changed! Active duty personnel are a tight bunch. If you are rude to 1 member, everyone is going to hear about it fast. Barbara Bush, Laura Bush and Michelle Obama all had a lovely reputation among active duty personnel. Hiliary’s Air Force One and Marine 1 flights were known as “Broom Stick 1.” She was notoriously rude and demanding.

National service used to be great there were so many different careers in 3 different services that people were trained in you travelled the world for free, you made life long friends.
If it was a 2 year national service with proper qualifications at the end and the option to re-enlist.
They could train doctors and nurses, machanics, chefs, pilots, engineers, almost any job that the services require.
It would get all the young people into work and the money spent on them being on benefits could be transferred over to the National Service fund.
It would also hopefully give the young people more pride in our country.
If they set up cadets for 16 year olds that don't want to stay for further education, it would then give them some training and encourage them into enjoying working and those that shone in certain areas could them go on for further training during their national service.
My Father served 22 years in the army he joined up during National Service and then re-enlisted we travelled the world always had a place to live it was a wonderful life.
Guaranteed hours and salary.
We made so many life long friends. It was like have a huge extended family.
If National service was done in the right way it could solve a lot of issues.

I think National Service is a good idea. When I was young and at first out on my own ,I lived in a building with several young French people in Chicago as my neighbors. They were doing their National Service working at the French Consulate there. They were obviously from good families and got the plum assignments, but it was good work experience.
