Great stuff! Scales may seem boring but they are magical- The big epiphany for me for me was when I realized that memorizing the major scale across the fretboard meant I was also memorizing each of the 7 modes (including the minor scale) across the fretboard, without even trying. I thought that was gonna be a whole other set of patterns to memorize but nope (music is so cool). Sounds like you'll be covering that nifty little secret in upcoming videos so I'll leave it at that. I'd recommend anyone who gets this nailed down to move the same exercise to the E string root using 4 strings, and then to the B string root (if you have one) using 5 strings. Once you get that down then you literally know the entire fretboard for any key, major or minor. And that's when the real fun starts lol
Nice video! Really good exercise to practice! Currently working on diatonic triads and scales. Working on chord progressions as well! Have a good one 😁
Good lesson series, playing through the modes different than what I normally do. Looking forward to the next series. Gonna be in the Myrtle Beach area the last week of April. Where are you gonna be playing then?
