Playthrough | Finale: The Final Showdown Awaits
It comes to this but you're wondering what's going on right? Well allow me to explain.
Thanks to someone on Twitter, I found out that in order to get the true ending, you need to find 50 Berserk Medals in all 15 stages. Once you at least hit 50, you'll get access to a restricted area where a special core can be found. Once you get that, return back to Dizzy who then reveals the location of Genos. This is where the true final battle begins.
This level is basically a boss rush where you face off against every boss in the game. Your skills will be tested but if you're like me, this is no issue. At the end you face off against Genos. This is a 2-phase fight. The first fight isn't difficult. It's the second fight that will test you. Genos uses a power that strips Kei of the Berserk Orbs he collected, infusing them into his body. It's then we learn that there was another Berserk Orb.
We learn that there was a seventh orb, the Life Orb. It was used to revitalize Fiore, who once died. Turns out Genos explains that without the Berserk Orbs, humanity had stagnated in their war against the Dark Energy. He needs the Life Orb to fulfill his mission. But Fiore has plans of his own. He offers Kei to fuse with the Life Orb, gaining a brand new form. Think of this as a Super Sonic like form.
For the second fight, you need to watch out for Genos' attacks. Not only that but you can deflect his missiles back at him. It can be a tough fight but not impossible. You just need to watch out for Genos' attacks. Afterwards, Genos is defeated and the two fall onto the ground below. Genos is impressed by Kei who was able to defeat him. Not once but twice. Kei wants Genos to surrender but he
refuses and departs.
Kei collapses but is then hit awake thanks to Dr. Quinn. Kei also reunites with Dizzie as the world is saved. Thus ends Berserk Boy.
Berserk Boy is a really fun game. A challenging one at that if you want to get the true ending. But it's also more challenging if you want to tackle the EX levels. They will push you to your limits.
