@@DrVarner If you take the two theme songs in mind I think there's room for hope. Would be really weird to move things in "other" directions, romantically at least. And if the title ends up being "Return" as many suspect, that also helps.
@@dalegleneagles5072 I agree. The theme songs are fantastic. I thought it was interesting how often Cloud was referred to as being “hollow” in the final chapter of Rebirth. Thanks for the reply. I needed a bit of uplifting, as I just completed my first play through (80+ hour). The game hit hard back in ‘97 but with the upgraded graphics and deeper writing, not to mention the perfect voice acting from Briana White, I needed a good word today. I know the loss is a large part of what makes FF7 legendary but this time around I could go for a little happily ever after.
@DrVarner I know there's a lot of people that claim that Rebirth is basically exactly OG, just with added content and a few red herrings to "keep it interesting" for player who player the OG (in regards to the ending). But I personally think their is absolutely no way at all that they would add aaaall that stuff that was going on there at the ending to basically just fool people. That'd suck so much. They really could have just done a faithful 1:1 ending if that was what they would have wanted to go there; because the whole "sudde loss" theme from OG isn't really present at the end anymore anyways with how they chose ti present it.
their date will always be the best one to me. og and rebirth, especially rebirth. it makes me feel all giddy and happy seeing how cloud gently takes her hand and intertwined fingers with her. its just so perfect and intimate. i love it so much.😭❤️
i love how during remake and rebirth there is a lot and i mean a loooooooooot of hand holding between aerith and cloud, even when aerith entered the gondola she reached her hands out for cloud and he didnt hesitate, but after she confessed, the usual hand holding turned into something so much more romantic!! i looooove little details like this.
Their date was very cute in Rebirth, I'm just curious if anything more occurred or they were holding hands and cuddling up. It's so hard to see at 7:25

I’m not sure if you’re a baseball fan but a YTer, Jomboy, reads umpire and players lips when they have conflicts during MLB games. He’s pretty good. Maybe someone could ask him to read Cloud’s lips.

I loved Aerith and Cloud's date. It is truly beautiful. Something I noticed after seeing the other quotes was that in Aerith's quote it is the only one where we can see Cloud's expression when the chocobo rider blows a kiss. We see that he doesn't like it. Cloud's jealousy appears. Also Aerith is the only one who gives him an answer in which we see Cloud smile in the others, if I remember correctly, we don't see what expression he makes. Finally, it is curious that only Aerith does not kiss Cloud, the other girls do. I wonder why? Thank you for making these Clerith videos, I really like them, I won't miss them. By the way, another detail that seemed curious to me in chapter 11 Cloud takes Tifa's hand away when he remembers about Zack and tries to console him. If I remember correctly, he never did that to Aerith. Anyway, excellent video as always.☁️🌸
I’ll always just find pure happiness watching this date from the OG then again in Rebirth. The fact that THIS was kept classic to the OG shows how important this scene was not only to the devs but honestly to the fans cause it just shows a wonderful romantic moment between two people. The 9year old girl in me was pretty happy ❤🥰 cause the OG Cloud and Aerith date was my favourite scene in the entire game.

From 97 I loved Clerith and ff7. After the expanded media which basicaly I disliked all the re-trilogy came. It is a different game painted like ff7. I couldn't understand how ppl said it brings them back to their childhood. Tbh the only good part of remake was Cloud and Aerith getting to know each other... But this scene has that 97 effect. It is what og wanted to be but couldn't.

Nothing beyond friendly friendship. Him saying "I didn't do anything" after they get off the gondola makes it clear he didn't see it as any special romantic significance.

What I am about to share may contain spoilers. As for the first question, in my opinion Aerith probably didn't want to disrupt the moment. The second issue is a little more complicated. In short, Cloud currently does not remember everything from his past correctly, and he remembers certain events differently than they actually happened, which affects his state of mind and general behavior. Aerith notices that something is wrong with Cloud, tries to draw his attention to this problem and help him find the truth about himself.

It was confirmed that the kiss was added becuse the fans wanted it which why it felt so forced (at least to me)
