We just back from east Yorkshire coast, spent 3 hours in York and an hour in Whitby, drove by Robin Hood Bay and through Scarborough and Filey, we stayed in Bridlington for two nights.

I am not the expert , but I'm not sure this is B2 English. Basically, you only use the past tense.

When we decide on a language level we don't just look at the tenses we use but the vocabulary and the intent. This story fits into the intermediate levels quite nicely. It might be a little easy for B2 levels and a challenge for those at B1.
