Took Mom Engelbert with Dad in 2009. Was a great night. Three years later, a year after Dad passed took Mom a special night missing Dad with Engelberts music helping us grieve and remember. They are now both gone and boy I only wish I could take them again.
I have this album AND I have his scarf that he tossed into the audience at a concert late 90's Pechanga Casino.....I was the envy of all the ladies as my husband caught it for me....It decorates my table!!! I was also lucky to have seen him two other times in Vegas...OH my goodness my sister and I were crying with excitement....I am listening to this song and am crying remembering all the fun my sissy and I had in our life together....she is somewhere over the rainbow and missed with all heart...we were crazy in love with him...we were crazy in so many other ways. Great live version of a terrific song. I remember watching the night he performed this and was also videotaping on my RCA VHS Selectavision VCR. It's from The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. I may even have the interview that followed Now if only I can fix one of the 4 old VCR's I have, I might be able to convert a few old tapes! Thanks for uploading this! It's a pity that stereo VCR's weren't yet manufactured in 1979. although it wouldn't have mattered as the over the air networks weren't broadcasting in stereo at the time, either. It would take another 5 years or so before stereo audio made its way to the major networks.
