This game is like a mix of vanguard and magic, two card games that i love, im going to really enjoy this
So... how about that episode 3...?
phase :
1. Stand Phase
2. Draw Phase
3.Main Phase (Call. Activate Main Phase ability)
4. Battle Phase. (Attacking by resting standing unit)
- 4.1 : Block Phase
- 4.2 : Damage Phase
- 4.3 : End Battle Phase.
5. End Phase
Same as vanguard. with basic YuGiOh
honestly the more I see of this game the more want to play it! It already kinda sorta plays like MTG anyway, so I'm sure it wouldn't take long to pick up on the subtle differences... it sounds like a lot of fun!
it does look so fun. they need to make an app
We Need An Anime For This!!! It will be so easy to understand the rules and play just like Yugioh and stuff! And then the amazing Animations and summons of our favourite Characters... man that would be amazing!
agree
That would be cool! Neato idea
still staying tuned for episode 3..
Same xD
same lol what happened?
@@BigHeartMusicOfficial is ep 3 not here rip
The guy on the right bending all the cards is killing me inside
Let me clarify because the screen swaps - it's the guy in the white cuffed shirt!
Ha ha, that's the card game's creator, Taro Kageyama!
Joseph Willis oops, hahaha, I'll let him off this once, he must have a million spare ones off camera! :P
You can tell my the sharp corners that these are just playtest cards (im pretty sure) so it doesnt hurt as much lol
He doesn't care about the games he's forced to do a tutorial. Threatened into doing it. 🙂
New player here...no Episode 3 ? thats a little sad :(
I need those playmats! Hope they release them soon! Also the card sleeves. I can see myself using those for my active deck.
since this comment was 8 months ago, has there been anything about these playmats? Cant find them online :(
Favorite part is that nearly all of the music used in both tutorials is from FF IX
omg you didn't know who Delita is???? have you played tactics? one of the best games ever!!!
I played this game for a bit and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. While the cards are bit more expensive than I would like, I still think it can be worthwhile. I hope a deck for Final Fantasy XV comes out soon.
The cards are amazing. Can't wait to play!
I want this on an android game, please.
So Discarding a card for CP during the opponents turn is allowed? Alongside dulling backups for CP.
Me and my mates have already been playing this so much lol
And just bought booster box!!
Thanks for making this video series!
Where can i get that play mat?
so ex burst works like drive triggers in vanguard? really liking the counter mechanics in this game.
Hyped!
at circa 9:20, when an EX burst happens. You say he can't block it. Does that mean that he couldnt use his Golem in that case, giving him extra power to save him?
And lets say that EX burst was a backup, like Black waltz 2 - but the opponent had Aerith on the field (backups can't target forwards). Would the EX burst happen anyway, or would Aerith counter it?
esperando la parte 3
I have a question: In the rules it says that the effect of a character with action ability remains even if the character is no longer in play. That means for example that if I use omnislash with "Cloud (1-182 L)", and my opponent plays as interrupt "Leviathan (1-178 R)" to return Cloud to my hand, its effect is still played or effect Is lost when you have returned Cloud to hand and everything you have paid is lost?
What about if you attack, you are blocked but you cast a summon on the blocker destroying it. It's been debated for days now on forums, a final answer on it would be good. Is it like magic where once blocked you dont damage the player even if the defender dies? or not
Yes the block is successful even if the Forward blocking is broken as the block was declared first.
I can't believe how fast these sold out, last time i saw this was Pokemon Base set 1.
So if u block with a forward with first strike will it stay on the field?
Question you can only control 3 forwards? Or can you flood the field with forwards?? And the back ups? Is there a limit? To the back ups or the forwards??
Just like MTG... backups are mana (lands) and with haste a first strike! LOL!
would love to see more videos. some of the rules in the lift out are a little vague
I got a question:
Is it possible to get a card from the starter pack in a boosterpack? I'm talking about the starter pack exclusives.
nice basic tutorial but it needs a little more volume and a little more clarity, maybe closeups of the cards being played so we can actually read and see what is going on when we cant understand you through your accent. looking forward to more. couple of questions though do cp points carry over to the next turn and 2 are you only supposed to build your deck with one element? thanks
I desperately want to buy some ff cards!!
i just did, bought myself a ff13 started kit
Podrán subtitular en español esta parte también? Gracias.
I can't find any sealed boxes of opus, packs and starters anywhere in the United States!!! What the hell is going on!?
when the enemy minion attacks me direct, and i have to put a card to the damage zone. And the card is a Ex Burst card, do i have to play the effect or can i? Is it a Must effect?
lebendeleiche u can apply the ex burst effect if u want ;)
Can you play more than one forward or backup per turn if you can afford the cost?
104732987532
sure you can
Can you use the remaining CP to play more card(s) during your turn?
according to the starter guide book, answer is no. any extra cp is wasted
Where can you even play this game in stores (Germany)? We can hardly play MTG here in my area (Nothern Lower Saxony) and MTG is way more popular here...
where can I get such a playmat?
No episode 3? :(
made a mistake on vidoe at 8:00 minute. He said he gets 1 fire CP when it should be 1 Earth CP
They corrected themselves in the closed captioning
Can you interrupt the play of a character with a summoning?
You can't. But if playing them triggers some auto-ability, you can respond to that.
Darío Muñoz Pino sini
mapaga
sinimapaga
I wonder if he always make the other guy let him win hahaha
RIP part 3. It just doesn't exist
Very awesome game !! wonderful cards !! but ... pls make a better translation into german the german card are not to understand/ bad translated ... (sory for bad english >_
podéis poner la traducción en español?
gracias
This has very very heavily leaned on Magic, to the point of just giving up on trying to find different ways of explaining the stack and just used MtGs wording
Where is mah ep 3
primero
Haste, first strike, vigilan... brave, because we don't copy magic the gathering ;)
EX burst and damage zone because where so not copying cardfight vanguard damage zone and trigger cards xD
CP because what's Mana
How is the audio getting worse as the series progresses? Lol
Im dissapointed in no limit breakers
These people explain this in such a terribly complicated way.
This looks too much like vanguard. Hoped it would be more like magic, with more spells such as casting firaga, ultima or meteor. Looks disappointing.
I agree, too much like Vanguard
deanofcool I like vanguard. but hey maybe later in the future it'll change a little bit and they'll add more things to the game. final fantasy has been around for years. they have tons of things to work with. kust give it time🙂,looks good to me.
First off its fun af and the game flows well. Second you get to play builds based on your favorite Final fantasies. I've got a mix between FFX/FFT
Actually it reminds me more of kaijudo
It's easier to understand than mtg I quit mtg yrs ago it got to stayle
Since it's an MtG ripoff, why bother renaming so many mechanics and abilities? They kept the same name for Haste and First Strike. As instance, just use Tap (instead of Dull), Graveyard (Break Zone), Instant (Summon), etc...
Don't know about first strike, but haste is a recurring spell in Final Fantasy series.
I remember years back that the term Tap to turn a card sideways to activate or whatnot is trademarked by Wizards of the Coast, so no other company can use that term for their card games. The rest are just to continue with Final Fantasy terms.
Doel Johon forgive me if I'm wrong however it is a FINAL FANTASY tcg and on FF world as far as I know, summon, dull, break are familiar term toward us..therefore they named it as they are instead using MTG term which not everyone who love FF know about these term.. I think that's why the named it like that
RogueCheepSheep & DIA_Eunchae FANS as far as I know, the only 2 terms which familiar are only haste & summon, while others like dull, break, break zone, etc are also foreign and new for existing FF fans (Correct me if I'm wrong, but I played FFI through X, and lately XV, but I'm not familiar with those terms).
So instead of adding more terms, they could just use the existing terms/mechanic/ability names which are well-known already in tcg world, and since MTG is one of the most popular tcg and (hopefully) FF Opus can achieve the same success, it won't be difficult to gain some fan from existing tcg players if they adapt directly the mechanics. (Unless, as you stated, that WOTC has copyrighted the mechanics such as tap, then it's obvious why they avoid using the same name). But maybe it's just my opinion.
Hey Doel Johon, pardon me, I myself haven't really a good ff player since I'm only playing Final fantasy tactics (such as war of the lion, FFTactics advance, FF Tactics A2 grimoire rift) and Dissidia..(And perhaps Kingdom Hearts which makes me learn a little bit about few characters on FF World).. Once again, pardon me if I'm making mistake here XD
Anyway as the term of Haste and Summon, I think we both reach agreement lol
as for Break, I dunno if it's the same thing towards the TCG terminology but I really did seen that BREAK term somewhere... here is the link :
1) www.gamefaqs.com/boards/939394-dissidia-final-fantasy/53517517
2) pspmedia.ign.com/psp/image/article/101/1013943/dissidia-final-fantasy-20090813041357220.jpg
Maybe The TCG use the terms BREAK because the forward is had 0 brave (just like what break means in Dissidia perhaps?)
As for Dull, I find the terms on FF tactics world, But I forgot where did I found it..Therefore here it is :
finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Final_Fantasy_Tactics_enemy_abilities
(You could find "dull" by CTRL+F and then type Dull for faster finding)
I agree with you, maybe there are some copyright problems with the wizard o t co*st (I dunno If we could typing another tcg here therefore I typed with * instead lol XD)
Once again, pardon me if I'm wrong, I'm just telling my opinion here...
Thank you
Anyway, do you think FF TCG will success in the future?
I haven't really join FFTCG (I haven't bought any of its product yet) because there's only few people in my country who played it... not as much as the other TCG such as MT* and Pokem*n TCG, vanguar*..
I found FFTCG quite tempting, but since my budget is kinda tight, therefore I couldn't bought it if the chance that this tcg will survive is low since I also played 1 other tcg (Pokem*n TCG)
Soooo. Combination of Cardfight ! Vanguard !! and YuGiOh.
meh tbh.
Balthier TSK it’s vanguard and magic
Translate to spanish, please
Well, that was needlessly complicated. Seriously, did anyone understand that at all?
It seemed overly simple to me. No sure why the learning curve is so high for you.
The Man-Witch, did you watch part one and part two (aka video 1 and this video)? When I was explaining the game to a friend he said the game was terrible because he didn't understand it. After watching video one and two he now enjoys the game a little more.
I missed the first one.
It also helps to see it in real life too. I was lucky enough to see it at the recent PAX in Australia, when it was launched, granted the rules I learned were different, but this is pretty easy to understand
It should be rather simple if you've played any other resource-based TCG. This game is basically a MTG clone, like so many others. I really like the mechanic that allows you to discard cards to generate mana though; combined with drawing 2 cards per turn it seems like brick hands, particularly land flood/drought, will be much less of a factor.
Magic Ripoff....
